my Sigma 28-300mm Macro F3.5-6.3 Zoom Lens i think the blades are locked, can use manual but also its dark when i look through view finder & live view, how hard/how much u reckon will cost to repair
I have some kind of twisted metal or plastic string looking thing right behind the big front glass . After I unscrew the first ring there looks to be another ring but that ring doesn't look like its threaded in . It looks like its just sets on top butI have tryed to pull it off but it won't move .How do I get in between the two front lens .
cool tutorial, lots of good words on your service performance on the forums, you do great job. I have a Sigma 24-70 EX DG on Nikon D750 and my autofocus has failed, I can hear the motor is spinning whe I press the shutter but looks like it does not move anything on the lens side. Manual focus is ok. When I turn the focus ring on a dismounted lens, the socket that contacts the screwdrive motor pin does not turn (and it should, right?). Do you have experience with such problem and think it might be the gears or something loose? Cannot find anything similar to my problem. thanks for any reply on what can I do myself to verify this
I need to take the big lens of the end and remove what looks like a metal shaving between the lens that has been there from the factory . How do I remove the big first lens
Hi, I wonder if I could say as they are connected the cables that are inside the camera lens canon XL2, since my cables were disconnected... plis... i hope you can helpme
Hello Pal, I know this videos is very old but I have a problem with AF of the sigma 70 200, I sent the lenses to repair with some store and they said not work with a new motor, so I don't know what to do, can you please give to me some contact to talk with you? Thank you Alex
Hi! a question: how can i remove the front lens from my sigma 70-200? Some spots are between the front and the second element. I remove the tiny ring from the front, but lens come not out :( Please help! Thanks!
Great video, I'm running in to lens from all over the place with fungus issues and would be great to have the ability to repair lens, they sell them real cheap, I might give them a go, it looks eaiser than a laptop or a DS.
I picked up an OM-2 with 3 primes and I did this to the lenses to clean fungus off some of the internal elements, I put them all back together perfectly except the 28mm f/2.8, when I try to remove the filter the entire lens unscrews lol!
I like very much this video! I just curious & intending to repaint the part that is next to tripod colar. Mine has totally lost its "Zen" paint and nobody here give service for it. So, DIY is the only way.
excellent. I did the same thing to my 16-35mm F2.8L II. Had a accident and went swimming. Fixed it right up. Quite easy actually no different to repairing a laptop. Even easier because less diagnosing.
Actually he is working in conditions just as they are at the factory. I have Nikkor lenses straight from Nikon with dust in them. The dust really wont effect image quality. It is way too small to effect light levels and it will never be in focus unless your lens can focus inside of itself.
Well, we do know that there are some heroes out there who can ACTUALLY repair a lens, we want to know HOW, if the purpose of the video is to show us that you can actually do it, thanks. Noted.
Slow the dang thing down, I want to see you actually repair something not just take it apart and put it back together. BTW looks like you just reversed the vid not actually put it back together. Dude ! What was broken what did you actually repair? Want to show us then show us! Thanks cool but not very much help here Bro!
I can't see the reason of this video if we can't ser how to do it
Glad I wasn't hoping to learn how to attempt repair of one of these lenses....
...and this feeling when at the end you find out that there's one piece of dust is sitting somewhere deep inside... :)))
That was really fun to see the inside. I have always wondered what it looked like. Cool
how do I slow this down to follow step by step? I'm replacing AF motor on 70-300mm. cant see how to set the gears for proper range of movement 😔

I was considering repairing my Canon 24-70 F2.8 myself until I saw this video. I think I will leave it into someone who knows what they are doing.
it looks lik a space shuttle module
absolutely useless
Not sure I would let him near my lens. No dust precausions, is a big no no
Whoa that was awesome to watch, i aint touching mine now lolz :0

I am subscribing your channel in hope to see the video soon
no screws left?! BAD!
it took him aprox 37 min too fix that one:)
I just broke a little from my 70-200 for trying this. Luckily, it wasn't an important part, and its still working, and still with fungus :(.
Not sure why there’s so much bellyachin’ about the directions, doesn’t say anywhere it’s a How To video.
Just use your iPhone and video it in slo-mo.
seriously?
Speedy Gonzales?
Learnt one thing from this video: This video didnt help me one bit...
Geht's noch? Man kann ja " deutlich" jeden Schritt nachverfolgen. Solch ein Video nutzt nichts
The sound is horrible.
WTF
Absolutely no use to anyone!
Troppo veloce....inutile
self advertising, zero information

Don't try this at home!
What"s the point? Useless.
Absolutely pathetic.
