- Ride to Mt Bold
Mount Bold, the largest reservoir in South Australia, is about 45 minutes drive south of Adelaide. The reservoir is surrounded by more than 5,500 ha of land, including three Trees for Life sites, and much native vegetation that has conservation significance. The reserve is predominantly stringybark woodland, but also has Manna Gum woodland, swamps and creeks. More than 160 native animals call Mount Bold home including the Southern Brown Bandicoot.
Walking/running
More than 13km of trails let you explore the southern section of the reserve on foot.
The Grade 2 lookout trail is unsealed, 1.4km return and takes you up gentle hills to a viewing platform.
The two Grade 5 hiking trails weave through a pine plantation and native vegetation, with sweeping views over the water, and with very steep and difficult hills they are suitable for experienced bushwalkers. The 5km Forest Loop takes you back to the car park, whereas the 9km Wedgetail Trail connects with the Kidman and Heysen walking trails, and the Onkaparinga National Park and Willunga Basin Trail for a more rigorous hiking experience.
Beautiful location. Still love the bike.
it's a nice run to Mt Bold and it is not far form me either around 20 minutes ride up in the Adelaide hills. Where I am I am lucky I am only 5 minutes from the hills and five minutes form the sea so I get the best of both worlds so to say..... keep well man and stay safe.

No not that one but I have tried the Suzuki VL 1500 Intruder LC / Boulevard C90 and M1600 Marauder@@rolandkeith5322

I feel like on the dam, there should be a place to buy a drink and chill! What a place that would be!
Now that would be good if there was ha! it's a nice run to Mt Bold and it is not far form me either around 20 minutes ride up in the Adelaide hills. Where I am I am lucky I am only 5 minutes from the hills and five minutes form the sea so I get the best of both worlds so to say..... keep well man and stay safe.
@@rolandkeith5322 always Roland. I live on. The beach and you go into summer and I go I to winter, it is just wet cold. Occasionally snow, but mostly wet bone cold living at the beach and 99 percent motorcyclist. It's OK, rather be on two then in a box
That white stuff they call snow I have never seen it other than on TV lol.... Cold to me here is anything under the 60's F but snow...oh hell no not for me, it looks nice but that's it. hahahaha @@BlakesPipes
@@rolandkeith5322 I enjoyed snow, I loved skiing and winter sports. That is now sweat weather. I hate 80 degrees and above. Rather put on, as taking off is limited when in public. Lol
Indeed.@@BlakesPipes
👍👋😎 just starting my first winter... I let out the dog and its ALL WHITE OUT THERE 🥶🥶🥶
Yup that time of the year for it there. over here it is so odd as it is still cold and quite wet with a lot of rain. we are getting the odd day of sun but still no heat, in fact I am sitting next to the heater in my kitchen doing these replies with it raining out side...it's Shit!. Stay warm man and keep safe and thanks for stopping by.
@rolandkeith5322 we had 28 inches of extra rain here this past summer... its being caused by the melting of the muskeag in the artic regions... lots of methane... happens every so often... dont worry the ICE AGE WILL BE HERE SOON HAHAHAHAHA
Quite a nice destination to ride to. Thanks for sharing.
Yep, that is a sweet looking bike with lots of power. Very nice ride mate.
Thanks man and keep well and stay safe.
Love that place, haven't been there for a while. 😎 Great drone footage Mate.
Thanks buddy yeah it's just up the road from me so it was an easy one lol
Wow. Wonderful road trip. You captured the scenery beautifully. This video is so refreshing. It’s a lovely getaway. Thank you so much for sharing friend. Enjoy the holiday season. 🥰🙏🏾🥂☮️🏝️ 7:09
Very cool of you to stop by, this place is not far form me like around 15 minutes ride up in our hill country.. I am in an ideal location where I live as I have the sea on one side of me around 4 minutes down the road and the Adelaide Hill's on the other of me at about the same distance so lots to go to and enjoy. Glad you liked it and stay warm there now.
@@rolandkeith5322 Wow. Ideal location indeed. You will always have lots of gorgeous scenery to capture. Thank you for taking time to share your beautiful side of town with all of us. Love and light friend. Be well! 🌟
Keep well and stay safe 🙂@@BrownGalPeace1
Nice capture ,very relaxing .Impressive drone footage stitched in beautifully .A quick glimpse of your vintage Gopro 3 stacked on top of your latest Gopro was an interesting shot .Not many people out there still have and use a gem like that silver 3. Proving it really doesn't matter what you shoot with ,its all about how you you use it .Well done R.K .
Thanks Terry, the only real downfall on the old Gopro 3 is that it has no image stabilization or, if it has some kind of stabilization well it’s not much. But the video quality of them is still very fair and back in the day when this cam was new they were a superior action cam compared to its competitors.
The 3 is what I use to point to me while riding and until it dies I will just keep running it. Battery is still holding up on it very well too so testimony to good quality product I think.
@rolandkeith5322 Heck ya those older Gopros are still quite useful. And you're proving it .
on a tripod they are still up there in quality and so on plus in post you can muck around with the video quality and stuff.@@TRyanLearnBikes
Great video RK. Loved the editing in this one. The disolves were perfect. I'm going to be depending on your riding videos for the next six months to keep me sane. Thanks, mate!
