    Good ride mate.
BTW, Adelaide has some of the best cycling infrastructure in Australia.
Not the highest bar I know, but it’s pretty good.
A bit of local knowledge goes a long way of course, but it’s an easy place to ride generally.
The tour down under starts this week and there are literally tens of thousands of cyclists from all over the world here now.
For future reference, if you stayed on the bike path you started on (the Torrens linear park) you would have ridden past 3 caravan parks closer to the city.
    Anyway, a great series 👍

Ridden those valley roads many times. Lovely descent into Adelaide. It's more bike friendly than you think with the TDU hosted there, just go for it and don't cower in the gutters. I always stay at the Adelaide meridian hotel in North Adelaide in the executive rooms, they cater for cyclists well and you can keep you bike in the room, and there's a pool which is a bonus.

I double-layered my bike box [second-layer of cardboard: Wood-Glue] and put the plastic end-caps on the axle ends and they still managed to get the axle to punch clean-through the box ; I estimate it would take 200kilos of luggage laid >flat< on top of the box to ''achieve'' that.

I drive through a few of those towns going from BH to Adelaide. You only really get much civilisation just before Burra. Interesting trip even though I was exhausted just watching you pedal the whole way. 😊

Enjoyed the series, thanks. A pity you didn't continue on the Linear Trail all the way along, it's a beautiful bike path all the way into Radelaide. For others looking for accommodation near Lobethal when on bikes, a simple Google search would find pub accommodation a few ks away in Woodside, or a bit further in the other direction in Mt Torrens which is at the end of the Amy Gillette riding trail. Or Cudlee Creek, Hahndorf etc etc. I reckon you could've pitched your tent at the Loby oval, they're a pretty friendly mob there. Happy travels!

Also, for interstate riders, it's perfectly legal for cyclists to use any footpaths at a safe speed. I think in NSW it's only kids or adults with a child in the child seat. Not sure about other states.

I knew about Hahndorf...wrong direction, unfortunately. It wasn't a deal breaker. No harm done. Thanks for commenting.

Well done for doing the M.T. I felt knackered just watching....With the Tour Downunder on here... everyone is cycling mad.... other months not so much. I cringed at some of the drone shots.... you're directly under the flightpath for RWY23 for Adelaide airport.

It was an honest mistake. The side of the river I was on had no notifications about drone use. When I crossed the river I noticed signs indicating a no-drone zone. Oops. I do keep it below 120 metres.

I wasn't having a go at you btw. I had a scary moment with a rogue droneflyer while doing circuits in a small aircraft at Gawler airfield a few years back.

Enjoyed the ride and videos. Doesn't matter now but had you stayed on the River Torrens Linear Park Trail there are 3 caravan parks to choose from, maybe they were full ? Handy to know when you do it again 😉

Where would you like to go…
I’m thinking of cycle touring South Korea later in the year. Before that, I have a mini adventure on the DR650, I’ll be riding from Canberra to Coffs in May on the R1200, a 4 week 4WD trip in June, a long motorcycle adventure it the Kimberly on my R1200 and I’m sure something will come up in the meantime to fill in the gaps. So much to do; so little time.

Wow your amazing. And I'm here planning a Munda Biddi ride thinking thats good but then I have a few more years on me than you. Got to keep oneself on the go or else it catches up to you. If I can still be riding anywhere near the 90year old you tracked in this series I'd be a happy man.
