Terry, what a great guide you are. I felt as though I was travelling with you in the Flinders Ranges and it was an absolute delight. Your channel fortuitously popped up in my feed tonight and I'm looking forward to enjoying more of your captivating story telling. 👌
A truly good episode Terry. Everyone has a place that they feel comfortable and truly at home, and for me it’s the Flinders Rangers, I try to spend time there each year for my need for a fix of remoteness, it’s like a magnet just roaming the gorges, I’ll be there in a few weeks. You did the area proud with this video.
Thank you. It’s such a special place. I don’t think any video can truly do it justice. It’s one of those places you just have to experience for yourself.
It’s awesome to find a place that truly resonates with you. The Flinders Ranges is such special country for ancient culture, natural beauty and geological wonders. I found my particular special place near Albany in WA. Just something about it that is hard to describe other than spiritual and humbling, even for a non spiritual person like myself.
I shore sheep around the Flinders in the 70 to 90s . I can tell you I nearly cried at times ,. Not for your reasons though some of those damn sheep had burrs in the wool as big as a finger nail 😢. Great video mate.😊
Thank you for this trip report. Just planning our Flinders trip for next year coming from Hervey bay and then down via Innamincka. Can't wait to get there because I am into landscape photography. Stay safe on your travels.
Wow! Absolutely beautiful country. Loved the art. Such a shame there is a need to have those cages around the rock paintings. That place would be just as spiritually and emotionally overwhelming as that gorge you later visited was, if one could just sit and soak in the un-fenced majesty of that ancient rock art. Great episode guys.
Just watching your Flinders ranges video Terry. Been there a couple of times and it's such a great place. Love your van setup. Looks very comfortable. You've done an excellent job with setting it up. Love your videos mate.
Some businesses (not that there are many) close down from November to March simply because it's unbearably hot. If you can, postpone your visit until April when it starts to cool down...
I know you cant go everywhere, but you wouldve LOVED the Kanyaka ruins. It's past Quorn in the Flinders. It's a very cool, historic little ruins of a once thriving town.
We're going there in January! Our rental doesn't allow us to drive on unsealed roads. Can we still see some of lookouts and nice areas or is it not worth then?
The road from Hawker to Wilpena Pound Resort is sealed. You’ll still see some mountains and can go for a hike at the Pound. But the best parts of the Flinders are off unsealed roads unfortunately
How beautiful thank you so much for showing to us. I like to do those trips but for you telling us it’s so beautiful take care of yourself.😊

That is me and my mates at the start of the video at Razorback lookout 😂 found this by pure chance!
Cool. It’s my favourite Flinders lookout 😀
Amazing
Thanks ☺️
Went to Balcanoona and Arkaroola via Leigh creek for work also had a feed at Wilpena pound, True big sky country.
It’s beautiful country
Love the Vegemite sandwich mate. That bread looked nice and fresh.
Those crossings can be good with a little more body clearance maybe.
I know you cant go everywhere, but you wouldve LOVED the Kanyaka ruins. It's past Quorn in the Flinders. It's a very cool, historic little ruins of a once thriving town.
Sounds great. I’ll keep it in mind next time I’m in the area
Flinders Ranges mate I could spend hours describing this location.
It would not do justice - You have to experience the Flinders to understand.
Should have pushed on the creeks crossings are only about 300mm deep, fed buy a spring. Great video.
Reminds me of the lyrics from Goanna's Solid Rock: "You can feel the endlessness"

@@LetsGo012 Thanks, I guess we'll give it a try!
🌞Wish I was your travel bud
You can't fly drones in the entire National Park, not just Wilpena
