Also, fun fact: Vanilluxe is not an ice cream, it's an icicle with snow on top trying too disguise itself as an ice cream 12:43 Remoraid is a gun and Octillery is a tank. If you look at the beta designs they look even similiar to pistols and tanks
Yeah, the Object Pokemon strawman/complaint has always been a case of vocal bad takes. Like, Chandelure looks sick AF, people who claim otherwise are plain wrong, and often those people also want to claim that Grimer evolving into Muck or 3 Diglets is more creative and well designed than something like Garbodor or Kelfkey, or even other kinds of super cool designs like Meowscarada. Gen 1 actually kinda had a higher ratio of lazy designs than a lot of other generations TBH. And also has many of the worst cases of thing becomes bigger thing, thing based on object, and IRL animal [COUGH Seel]
So for a fun comment to this video and because I am awful at guessing famous people, I decided to use the assistance of AI to decipher the caricature. Bing Copilot, despite having been given three different screenshots of Mr. Gold's caricature, continuously told me the face was too obscure to make any guesses, and then continued to tell me about famous people who have had famous caricatures made for them. Google's Gemini admitted that the characteristics in a caricature are too exaggerated for it to be able to recognize who it might be, but at least was able to make three major observations of the man drawn. I prompted it further to at least guess who the man may be. These were its guesses: 1. Winston Churchill: This former British Prime Minister was known for his strong jawline and short, dark hair. He often wore suits and ties in photographs. 2. Jay Leno: This former late-night talk show host has a prominent chin and jawline, and his signature look often included short, dark hair and a suit and tie. 3. Clark Gable: This classic Hollywood actor was known for his strong jawline and short, dark hair. He frequently wore suits and ties in movies and photographs. My guess was James Stewart which after looking at photos is definitely not the right answer... So instead I'll just steal the correct answer from the comments like AI art steals from the internet. It's Humphrey Bogart!
Brilliant video showcasing your talent and comedic wit as always, while at the same time still raising some very cogent critiques about the shortcomings of AI content generation programs. Despite being one of your longest videos, it's still very rich with content from beginning to end. Wonderful work.
Watching you write to the ai like a person and then it completely misunderstanding your intent kinda summarises the whole situation perfectly. and I'm not even sure if its unintentional.
gonna sound like a little whiny butch for this, but there are some subtle differences between FoP and danny phantoms artsyles that would warrant choosing one over the other for a style swap. phantom characters have all 5 digits in place of shovels for hands, adhere a little bit more to real human anatomy and offer more in the way of clothing detail.
Hilarious video, Feelings of AI being a scary dominator of our yet to come future have been alleviated. Also, I believe that the ending portrait is Humphrey Bogart!
6:17 That's literally Jack from The Rise of the Guardians movie! A boy that died but the moon turned into something like a phantom based of a "myth" and could only be seen by the people that believe in him. His problem is that no one believes he really exist, so he tries for centuries to make at least 1 person believe that he is real. Edit: I wrote something wrong, my bad, English is not my first language
I would LOVE an in depth video describing how you break down art styles and copy them, I know you’ve talked a good amount about them but I would be super happy if you made a full fleshed out video :)
Thanks! I really have no idea, I'm terrible at keeping track of that sort of thing... normally my videos take between one and two months all up though. (This one took three because it's longer than usual!)
18:23 coincidentally, Smosh once did a bit where Ian was trying to draw Sonic, only to always get things wrong in his many attempts, with one attempt having Ian accidentally give him banana shoes. I believe it’s called Inappropriate Sonic.
The funny thing is, Before this video even existed, I developed my own creatures that're a toaster and a couch, though with a different approach. The toaster was one of the first I designed and it's basically a toaster with a face with human feet named Toesty. It looks better than it sounds. For the Couch, it was actually an evolution to my chair trap creature (known as chairap, which looks like a chair, but it has eyes and will eat anyone whole who sits on it with it's razor fangs) and it's basically the same concept, but with a couch. It looks a lot better than it sounds.
Amazing job with the drawings as always! Maybe if you keep drawing enough A.I will actually have inspiration for when someone gives it a prompt like characters in different art styles
i love the chatgpt robot voice you made lol good job to uhh... either jake miller, rt60, or drakedragsaw! well i appreciate that the first suggestion was a chimera but not so-much the execution of said suggestion. 4:01 :o mer chimera i love that thank you so much 4:37 pfffffffffffffft 6:15 Kecleon? 6:39 I would've been interested in seeing how you communicate an invisible Pokemon, be it that their efforts to convince everyone that they're there lead to them painting parts of themself or something, or if you went with the white outline situation used in the Pokemon Anime, but also I can see why you didn't give this the time of day considering how comically impossible this level of creativity would be for an AI. I certainly like some of the object Pokemon, the Vanillish Line is one of the highlights of Gen 5, although despite the quality of the games the designs are still on the low end for me overall. But I mean I compared to Palworld and I still prefer Gen 5 to Palworld for what it's worth. You haven't touched on Palworld on RUclips yet, come to think of it, curious on your take as an artist who is especially great at mimicking styles and stuff. 13:31 Ah, there's the opinion. Yeah, even if I don't think ALL the Palworld designs are AI Generated due to the timeline of things, their lack of focus sort of feels like it in execution, especially since not all of the designs feel... COMPLETELY original? Y'know? 7:23 this is good 9:44 It's funny because, being Japanese-made, some of these earlier puns weren't even the intention of the main designs. That being said I think Gen 5 is when they started hiring people from around the world for designs so I'dn't be surprised if Fidough was made for that express purpose. 12:43 I mean, I want to bring up their prototype designs, but honestly Gun -> Tank is still a big of a leap, especially for one stage. 14:07 FakemonForPalestine (I made a hedgehog!) 14:50 I'm just saying, I don't think the AI is going to generate only Nickelodeon... WHOA it actually did, that's fairly surprising even if it's such a simple task. 15:44 Yo I didn't even think of you changing the format for the Nick part to better match your pre-existing video formats I love that >o
considering it'd be easy to idly add a comment that doesn't contain the guess, and then have to delete it and start over because he won't accept edited answers... it's probably smart to start with the caricature actually. Also good eye, I think you're right.

12:43 Remoraid is a gun and Octillery is a tank.
Genwunners when seel and dewgong exist (both literally just different spellings of what they are)
Your videos are comfort food thank you harry gold
These were its guesses:
Why shouldn't we use ai to replace the jobs nobody wants instead of artists
Cuz the government won't have anybody to tax haha jkjk 😂
Yeeeaaah this is the "artist using GenAI" content I've been looking for! Keep up the good work mate
Good to know artists will have at least another year of being better than AI
Here's hoping!
all of the characterized illustrations of each AI program is legitimately cool and hilarious. easily my favorite part about this video.
The main fear of artists: That they will be replaced by AI
The main fear of AI:
That they will be replaced by Harry Gold
Dog eat dog world
The editing, humor, and style of video feels very unique
Keep up the great work!
19:23 Along with the identity crisis, lets add on an extesential crisis on this wacky and zaney Sonic OC!
Glad your back Harry, i think your channel is about to blow up and im happy for you. Also is that Humphrey Bogart
I love Chatgpts voice lol
Brilliant video showcasing your talent and comedic wit as always, while at the same time still raising some very cogent critiques about the shortcomings of AI content generation programs. Despite being one of your longest videos, it's still very rich with content from beginning to end. Wonderful work.
Bro drew Lincoln Loud in the Invader Zim style, he is immediately in my good graces.
Watching you write to the ai like a person and then it completely misunderstanding your intent kinda summarises the whole situation perfectly. and I'm not even sure if its unintentional.
AI will never replace hobbyist artists no matter how good it gets. It's fun to use though!
12:40 There is some continuity between these two. Remoraid is a gun, Octillery is a cannon and both are based on aquatic animals with suction cups.
4:05 this cute creature should definitely be in palworld lol xD
As a Mega Man Classic obsessive who just so happens to have "Bing" in my first name, I absolutely love the Robot Master Bing Man at 4:12
gonna sound like a little whiny butch for this, but there are some subtle differences between FoP and danny phantoms artsyles that would warrant choosing one over the other for a style swap.
phantom characters have all 5 digits in place of shovels for hands, adhere a little bit more to real human anatomy and offer more in the way of clothing detail.
I just love how Harry speaks to pleasantly toward the AI bot.
Gosh, I can’t remember the name of the host from the harry gold show
Hilarious video, Feelings of AI being a scary dominator of our yet to come future have been alleviated. Also, I believe that the ending portrait is Humphrey Bogart!

This is definitely one of your best videos yet! Always great to see a notification that you've uploaded a new masterpiece.
I like how this guy proceeds to take a steamy shit on ai instead of just making another semi-generic "A.I is bad." Video.
Wheel of quirks legit sounds like a great concept. 18:28 though I am thinking of it being a character or creature
I fully support toastposting. Toastposting will be the next meme of 2024.
I know you can. This is gonna be a great video!
1:22 is that jake miller?
6:17
That's literally Jack from The Rise of the Guardians movie!
The reason why the AI art for Sherlock Owl was so "good" was because it just ripped 99% of the art of Rowlet.
"The reason why Giger's art was so good was because he just ripped off 99% of historically depictions of death and despair"
I would LOVE an in depth video describing how you break down art styles and copy them, I know you’ve talked a good amount about them but I would be super happy if you made a full fleshed out video :)
Amazing work, Harry! Just gushing how well put together all this is; how many hours does it take to write, edit, draw, etc etc something like this?
Thanks! I really have no idea, I'm terrible at keeping track of that sort of thing... normally my videos take between one and two months all up though. (This one took three because it's longer than usual!)
Love your work as always Harry, you deserve even more success for all of your hard work you put into your videos :)
Harry Gold. Im scared of you.
That skibidi toilet song cover in the end genuinely slaps holy f**k... full cover please
How can we be sure *you* aren't an AI?
All of that waiting paid off. Thank you Mr. Gold for another amazing video. Also I think that might be Humphrey Bogart.
You know, why don’t you try to imitate the AI art style?
Amazing job with the drawings as always! Maybe if you keep drawing enough A.I will actually have inspiration for when someone gives it a prompt like characters in different art styles
but can you copy the ai's art style?
But can the AI see why kids love Cinnamon Toast Crunch?
it's truly impressive how harry gold can replicate a art style.
27:27
Now I'll have the worst nightmares the human mind can imagine. I am truly thankful to you, Harry Gold.
Love your content man
i love the chatgpt robot voice you made lol good job to uhh... either jake miller, rt60, or drakedragsaw!
well i appreciate that the first suggestion was a chimera but not so-much the execution of said suggestion.
4:01 :o mer chimera i love that thank you so much
4:37 pfffffffffffffft
6:15 Kecleon?
Y'know?
7:23 this is good
9:44 It's funny because, being Japanese-made, some of these earlier puns weren't even the intention of the main designs.
14:07 FakemonForPalestine (I made a hedgehog!)
14:50 I'm just saying, I don't think the AI is going to generate only Nickelodeon... WHOA it actually did, that's fairly surprising even if it's such a simple task.
15:44 Yo I didn't even think of you changing the format for the Nick part to better match your pre-existing video formats I love that >o
Humphrey Bogart, sad that I go to the “guess who” before I watch the main event.
considering it'd be easy to idly add a comment that doesn't contain the guess, and then have to delete it and start over because he won't accept edited answers... it's probably smart to start with the caricature actually.
Also good eye, I think you're right.
