"Is cyber security hard" No it's just like wiping your ass it takes time and you need to double check. :) Most people want whatever they do to seem so complicated and complex that only they can do it or only a few are good or smart enough to do. lol but the short answer is NO it is not, it just take some time to be good at it just like anything else in this world.
Thanks for the motivation. I expect any new job/skill to be hard to learn. I'm glad there are tools to help people and you did a great job naming a few.
Hey Sandra thank you for the info. It may be helpful if you’re able to add subtitles along with what you’re saying as sometimes I watch shorts when I’m in areas where it’s not convenient or hard to listen to a video (i.e. on a train etc.)
It's nice to hear someone saying they got an IT degree because I've been so back and forth lately between CS and IT. I finally decided yesterday on IT because I'm not great at math and CS would take me another couple years because of the calculus. And computers aren't really my passion, just moderately interesting, and I don't want to get burnt out in school before I even get started with the jobs. I think I could do really good in IT, but CS just seems like too much for me.
Honestly, I’m with you on that my biggest regret was choosing CS over IT because not everyone can just do CS I would’ve been better off learning IT and working my way up Cyber later on it just depends on how well you do in teaching yourself concepts
Got you. I'm studying an IT diploma, and I'm also only moderately interested in technology. I would like to become a software dev but I know for a fact I would suck at CS lol
Well she just described any degree or career lol. Ahhhhh being young is so much fun. She clearly did pick up slit of information in undergrad but who can blame her…most of us didn’t…needed certificates is 1 and advanced degree is 2 and learning programming Linux number 3. I just talked to a cyber security consultant…learned it all in the military so if you can go that way first and learn it’s better off. I am studying now for my first certification and have 18 years experience in finance so the math coding is bit an issue but it’s like learning anything new…your feel dumb at first then it’s gets better and better till you fall for it…if you don’t move along to something else you like.
I think every new skill just takes practice and dedication, for those who have a solid Goal & work ethic then anything is possible. Thanks for the video, God bless you ☦️
Im starting my cybersecurity bachelor's degree tomorrow. I already have 64 credits that i got with my associates of arts degree, and now ill get all cybersecurity classes, excited about learning.
I have no certs never had an IT job..and I’ve started a cyber security course…I know I can learn it.. it I don’t know if I have enough time to learn it…also I have no teacher all I have is the material..which is EXTREMELY boring…but yea…pray for me yall 😅
Any trade you learn will be hard, most of us will be mediocre- average in our jobs, advanced if you put some serious time and effort, few will reach level of expert and even fewer who will have mastery and even then new stuff is constantly coming out. It’s a lifelong commitment!
The actual question is not is cybersecurity hard. The question is rather does cybersecurity require special talents such as learning to sing like Ariana Grande might.
@@WithSandra hi is udemy certification worth to put them in my cv i'm student in uni but i don't have any field experience and sadly there is not alot of money soo any good tips for me and i'm in my third year

Cyber Security is a broad term to define so many aspects of an industry. Here is something for the new generation thinking about cyber security. WHATEVER YOUR PASSION IS, you can align it within the Cyber Security field. We should all know by now that a passion makes the energy you apply much easier so is cyber security hard? Hell NO, does it require work--Well Yeah
I chose my college diploma in IT as a beginner in Tech. Actually I find cybersecurity interesting but feel like it's impossible to learn for me. So start to feel regret because I didn't try what challenging for me.
Yes it is hard when you don't have the financial Ressources to study a specific field like hardware, or getting stuck in repetetive rabbits holes while you can surrpasss them with a hands on course with 1k dolllars yeah it is hard when you can't fund the good tools of pentest and getting stuck learning how to do it without those tools
Could you expand on what you mean? Like the digital supply chain software or literally you dropped cyber and went into managing a warehouse with supply chain?
Same situation here as well, Got an IT degree and then did 3 years of service desk work then went in green, the first year was hard and difficult to do.
i also got my IT degree, now looking for a job. not interested in any type of coding. what do you think about cyber security? does it involves coding/ comp languages?

I dont have an it degree and i find cybersecurity easy. I guess it all depends on how smart you are. The other big factor is if you are good at researching things. If you dont research and just look for predigested info on youtube you wont make it. Curuosity is key.

Life is what’s hard. Anything else may have a potential of being hard but this can be mitigated with training and resources.
