Just picked up a Vital Hero with Augumon on clearance at the Walmart and really liking it so far. Wasn't too sure but for the price was justifiable to try it out and then decide on a BE down the road. Defo getting a BE eventually.
It's not so much doing the activity as much as the amount of certain ones needed lol. Some of the evolutions require 25 or 30 points doing the squats exercise which just feels insane. I'm glad you're enjoying the Vital Hero! The BE is definitely worth it down the road
As a person with knee problems, I usually skip doing squats on my original bracelet and I do the other exercises to get my trophies without any problems. The comments I hear about BE forcing you to do a lot of squats specifically to evolve your Digimon is one of the reasons why I'm unsure whether or not I'm going to get it. I think it's a legitimate complaint when put in context of the comparison with old bracelet. :)

So the NFC Battles are how you can do random battles to raise your Digimon’s stats. They can be activated by any NFC touchpoint, like via a smartphone or something like a Nintendo Switch when its activated to read an amiibo

The killer problem with it for me is that you only ever fight against your own evolution line in the vital bracelet battles. Why would they release a product with such a glaring limitation?
This issue comes from the way it works. Each DiM loads the data for the device to have. So for the Digimon ones, they only load what’s on the evo lines However, some of the other character themed DiMs that aren’t Digimon will sometimes have enemies loaded that you can’t evolve into
@@Soundout12 I can understand why, but I don't like the answer. They can add code for other Digimon for it to fight to the DiMs. small form factor memory is cheap these days. There's no way a few MBs of memory they'd need for a few extra Digimon per DiM is too expensive. They already charge you >$30 per DiM on top of the bracelet you already bought. It's just not an attractive game to me, and convinced me not to buy it when I had the bracelet and a few DiMs already added to my cart. It's unfortunate.

I found PP is just trophies. So it may be even easier to build that up on the vital hero. But to check the states, i habe to add the mon to my team, exit and confirm, then hit the "i" to see it

The BE’s pvp was done through the app and I’m not sure if that feature works now that the app doesn’t have it’s online features The DM models can do PVP with their included VS DiM
The app has basically become just a storage app now. Which personally is what I used it for mostly anyways. All the other features still work on the device itself
On the Vital Bracelet BE, BP is used to calculate accuracy and dodge chance. The +999 can help out, but most fights even when punching down will be too close for comfort.

Okay I had no clue the VB Lab was shutting down. Although now I'm having trouble transferring my Kamen Riders back to the VB so I can transfer them to the Arena app. For some reason when I insert the VBM memory when it tells me to during the transfer process it fails. I don't get what's going on. Is it because I haven't used the cards and VB in months?
@@Gosei-Green1290 No not that. I mean going from the old VB lab to the bracelet. It seemingly worked fine with my Kuuga one. But it's not working with my Ex-aid and Genm cards. Despite the fact that it can read them when creating a new character.

It worked with Ex-aid on the first try but took a couple for Genm to work. But now I got them in the VB. Now to send them to the Arena app.

I know people don't like the new app, but as someone who just recently got the VB BE and just used the app, I think it's decent. There's errors from time to time, sure but it's decent enough I guess. I also don't mind the BE itself as well, but I think it's because this was my introduction to the VB line 😅 Edit: I do agree about the battle system being kind of a downgrade and upsetting, but it sort of makes me want to train my digimon more to win so I guess there's that but I know not everyone is into this and yeah, weaker level digimon should lose immediately instead of being on a dice roll
I like being able to train the Digimon more per stat, I just wish there was another way to do it besides the exercises cause I find myself shaking the BE a lot 😅

I think the screen size doesn't take away from the enjoyment. Especially with the device interacting with the app. I think an 8 year old would enjoy for sure

My only complaints with the BE is the stupid ranking system and timer for how long you can get PP’s and other P’s you can get…if I want to grind and get achievements I want to do that at my leisure… I miss the trophy system from the old one….

the only problem I have with the BE so far is that if you use the old dim cards on the BE you can't raise your Digimon's stats like the Hp and the others you can only get the pp so you can't make your Digimon any stronger unless you have the new type of dim cards the only way your Hp,Bp and Ap will raise up is through evolving them and it's not really that much of a stat raise which kind of is irritating but its still a good upgrade from the vital heroes bracelet that I think so far also how do you jogress on the BE cause i only have two of the old dims which are Dinasaur roar and Wolf howl cause I want my omnimon
To Jogress, you need to have the Digimon you want to Digivolve as the primary, then the one it needs to Jogress with as the support back-up. Then wait three hours and they should fuse
FYI: The Codex order in the Vital Bracelet Arena app is NOT random. It's sorted by Dim/VBM/BEM internal ID. ;) Unless you dabbled in the custom Dim/VBM/BEM mod scene, you likely would have no idea about the internal ID numbers. The numbers are out the app's tell the Cards apart (for transferring Characters in and out of the app) and on device they are used for Specific Character Fusion to know if the specific DNA Digivolution/Jogress Character exists in Back-Up to fuse with. The reason the ID order may feel random is due to placeholder spots in the ID sequence. It's not just Chronological. Bandai left various placeholder spots. Some were reassigned and others were not. For example: Angel & Demon two pack was scheduled to start taking preorders likely was finished development and there was a space left for a Gammamon Version 2 (with Mega) prior to BE series development. Once Bandai was well into development of the 2nd Generation BE series, they started assigning ID numbers of gaps in the sequence to the remaining Generation 1 cards (ie. the Frontier Dims.) [This would maximize the amount of IDs available in the 0~255 range.]
I hope they change the training method and make the app better... I dont want to just do squats 😅 and I think it would be great if we can see our digimons interact in the app
Yeah you got the battle system ALL WRONG. Battles are basically the exact same and the same shit happens on the original vb all the time. It's not a different system, they just added trainable stats and assists
The more I've played around with the battles, the more I realized how badly I messed up describing it in this video. I still find the BE battles to be infinitely more frustrating than the original VB battles, but I might need to do a video on the battles themselves to correct this.

They have the ability to tell time, but that's about it. It tracks if you are wearing the device, but not sleep or have any notification system

Not really, but they did add items that multiplies the training so you can boost stats way faster.

Agreed. The time limit thing is plain dumb. The trophy system felt more varied too with ways to get them instead of only doing squats

My Sirusmon is locked as a rank D because I forgot to train him after he evolved and left him in sleep mode for a couple days

The numbers are out the app's tell the Cards apart (for transferring Characters in and out of the app) and on device they are used for Specific Character Fusion to know if the specific DNA Digivolution/Jogress Character exists in Back-Up to fuse with.
The reason the ID order may feel random is due to placeholder spots in the ID sequence. It's not just Chronological. Bandai left various placeholder spots. Some were reassigned and others were not. For example: Angel & Demon two pack was scheduled to start taking preorders likely was finished development and there was a space left for a Gammamon Version 2 (with Mega) prior to BE series development. Once Bandai was well into development of the 2nd Generation BE series, they started assigning ID numbers of gaps in the sequence to the remaining Generation 1 cards (ie. the Frontier Dims.) [This would maximize the amount of IDs available in the 0~255 range.]

Agreed! The recent firmware update adding items that let you multiply the trainings has definitely helped things take less time to evolve

I refused to buy BE because the BE remove VS Dim battles, no more cards from dim package, they shut down VB Lab for the trash VB Arena

Yeah you got the battle system ALL WRONG. Battles are basically the exact same and the same shit happens on the original vb all the time. It's not a different system, they just added trainable stats and assists
The more I've played around with the battles, the more I realized how badly I messed up describing it in this video. I still find the BE battles to be infinitely more frustrating than the original VB battles, but I might need to do a video on the battles themselves to correct this.
