Don't ever question going in there and checking before the doe is pushing. You know your goats and what works for them. There are those that don't help with the birthing saying that if the livestock can't do it on their own then they are just not good stock. Meanwhile they let their animals suffer. You saved two bucklings today, thank you for your intervention.
Especially there's so many things that can lead to birthing complications that have nothing to do with the animals health or genetics. We still don't entierly know the process that puts babies into the correct positions and how much environmental factors or human caused factors (eg. over/underfeeding) contribute. Letting an animal suffer over something that could be dumb luck, or our fault as keepers, is just lazy
I remember 3 years ago every time during kidding season I would take out my weed ‘‘em and reep journal and keep track of who was giving birth, who you guys owned, and all of the names of the kids. I am so proud to call my self an OG 😊❤
I’ve been watching for 6 years now. They’ve always been so awesome! It’s been so cool to watch DaNelle grow as a goat owner and start refining her herd! So excited to watch her continue to develop her herd genetics and do great things! It’s been so fun watching her Tilly line project because I remember when she first got Tilly!
What beautiful kids! I vote for Beans for the little guy and Chunk for his big brother. I love them already! Congratulations on a successful kidding season! You do such an amazing job with all your goats. ❤️🐐
Weheyyy Daphne did it! And they will be Nubs and Chuck. Happy for both of you Danelle and Kevin the efforts, patience of taking good care to the rest of the herd. God bless us always💕🙏
Your so patient and calm..I totally get you needing to assist.. IT drives me nuts when people watch/film a situation with zero assistance when it's clear there is an issue. Good animal husbandry requires assistance at times. Not "just let nature take its course" . Daphne is so unique looking and is very attentive to her live babies finally.. thanks you for sharing and our amazing good care.
Danelle, bless your heart!! You've had a rough year! You have handled every rough spot with grace. You've come a long way since the start of it all! Pluss you have a lot ( of kids) on your plate and was struggling with your own health issues not long ago! Remember to take care of yourself! Oh!! And I'm so happy these two bucks made it! I hope the tiny man perks up!
My Mom has a heard of about 20 Nigerian Dwarfs. She has named them all something starting with “W”. When you spoke of Wynona, it made me think of my mom’s goats. Her Buck is Wrangler. And your heard is so adorable, I wish y’all the very best and All the Blessings !!!
I loved how u put the diagram up of the situation & what u where feeling & how u corrected it. So amazing & also u don't normally do that, but u know Daphne & trusted your instinct! Been watching u since willow, & I must say u are an O.G or the G.O.A.T at kidding & raising them. So proud of you ❤ & proud to be apart of this weedem & reap family 😊
It’s amazing what you can do with one acre!!! I have 30, but your place is sooo cool what you have accomplished in a smaller space! I wish my husband could enjoy my efforts…he passed away too young after 30 years of marriage!
Nub, for the little one and Chunk for his big bro...... 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞 For Nub's ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Again great job DaNellie, you are so good at this. Lucky mama and babies. OK Kevin, you did great too....lol. Love and hugs to you both.
How are they all doing? Daphne, the little buckling, and his big brother? I hope the little guy is still alive, able to stand on his own, and starting to thrive!
Such cute babies! Happy to see there were no stillborns this year with Daphne :) I think the name Bucket for the little boy and either Rufio or Marbles for the big boy.
Poor little guy! I hope we don't have to wait too long for an update on how he's doing. If Newt could do it as little as he was hopefully this one will get stronger quickly. Chelsea at Little Mountain Ranch recently lost a little ram lamb. It's tongue came out the side like that but it had other malformations.
I love Kevin's bottle baby system! Daphne looked like she was strutting down the walk...such a Daphne 😂 When the 1st little black one came out with that piece of white hair reminded me of my Nana. Thank you for the special memory.❤
Such respect for y'all..... And n for truly loving all of your four legged babies! I want that first buckling!!! Me heart just bleeds for little mama! I get it though..... I remember having to get set up for induction (30 yrs ago, now.... YIKES). And telling the doc I had changed my mind!!!!! I was terrified to push.... I think your little princess wanted YOU to do it!!! 💙💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
Bucket for the big one and Rufio for the little one. Congrats Daphne, you scared me for a second girl but I'm so happy for you and the herd family. Danelle, you're amazing, and our family has been watching since the beginning.
Does checking the temp of the little one give you info that would be helpful? I ask based on watching a sheep farmer on line. Congrats on the 2 newbies. Hoping all goes well for both boys.
The 1st one is 1/3 the size of the gold one! I actually exclaimed out loud. Does/did the black one need selinium? You mentioned his eyes... ah placenta attachment. Poor little guy. Will you keep Daphne? Re: her lack of pushing? Inquiring minds.
Congrats to Daphne and y'all for the new bucklings. I say Chunk for the large one and Marbles or Beans for the smaller one. Crazy how she only had 2 when in the previous kiddings she had so many more.
I think Numbs and Chunks are likely the best names for these two bucks. BTW: I have a suggestion for a Kevin's Craft. Kevin, would you consider tackling a design for a girdle-type product to fit a new mom with detachable coverings for the teats. Danelle said when there's only one baby nursing from mom, often the baby favors one teat or the other. If you can uncover the teat you want used and keep the other teat "unavailable". If the teat covers were something which could be attached/detached using Velcro, you wouldn't have to keep taking the girdle on and off all the time. I wouldn't necessarily think wearing it all the time as a good thing, but used for most of the day. Maybe it's not a usable idea, but why not suggest it?! Congratulations on another kidding season. This one seemed to go faster this year.
^_^ I'm so glad they both seem okay. I'll be praying for them both and that the little one gets stronger. They are both so cute! I like Beans for the little one and Nubs for his brother. :3 Thank you for showing us so much and explaining things as you go.
Reminds me of sheepishly me when the sheep give birth to one, milk the side not being used by the baby. Love your videos and the fact you try giving the little ones a chance ❤
Blake and I vote Chunk for the big bro and Nubs for little bro. Good job trusting your well earned instincts and going in when you did DaNelle! You saved those two boys for sure. I also appreciate your explanation on the small first buckling. We had a doe that birthed a tiny first boy and now I know why!
Congratulations of Daphne's two buckling boys 🥳 I think you should name them Nubs for the small adorable black buckling and for the big golden buckling Chunk .
I like Rejean for the big buckling and Beans for the little one! They're both precious! Can't remember if I've ever watched a buckling-only kidding here before!
Poor little guy. I know that you guys will do your best, who could ask for more. I don't think you have used Steven yet and I think you like that name so maybe you should use it for the big buckling since this is the last kidding. I think Nubs for the tiny one since he is a tiny little nub of a goat. Bless you all.
Nubs definitely for the little guy and Chunk for the big guy ❤ So adorable hoping and 🙏 for little Nubs to perk up and stand on those little legs of his asap!😊 Great job on knowing it was time to go in and check momma!
I had a really similar buckling born today, not near as bad will walk, and nurse yet he is pretty weak, what are the things you do for weak ones? He is a triplet, born first, and was butt first. The last was really big compared to him
Would this kidding, being the third time now there have been ‘complications’, put you off having Daphne as a breeding doe? I know you mentioned she was amazing in everything else, but I’m curious as to see where you at with her now. I love Daphne, but I would understand your reasonings either way! She was super at being attentive to both kids once they were born. I’m still baffled at how she only had two! I really hope the little guy makes it - I shall be anxiously looking out for every update! Well done Kevin and DaNelle on this year’s breeding/ kidding season. I can’t believe it’s already over! Already looking forward to the next breeding season 🤣 🩶
I had one so this last year. Kid was breeched so it made sense. The same does daughter did this to me this year. She only pushed if my hand was in her. Both kids were perfectly positioned. I’m wondering if it’s a calcium issue. The doe last year also had a prolapse.
Mr Sir for the littlest one. I’m guessing the two buckling are going to help with the decision you made on which kids you are going to keep. Beautiful kids tho.
Marbles for the big one and Mr. Sir for the black one. We had one like the black one in our first ever birthing in December last year. Our little Mocha is now doing well, still half the size of her siblings at 3 months but gowing ❤
I really like Beans for the little one and Chunk for the big one!! At least you don't have to worry about wanting to keep either of them this time because I believe you said, the bucklings usually have to leave anyway. They're so beautiful and cute!! I hope the one makes it!! 🤞🫂❤️
I like Mr sir for the big one and Wonka for the lil one. He looks like a shrunken version of a baby goat. Sweet baby is SO tiny against his brother. I love your videos
Nubs for the little black one and Chunk for the big golden one! They’re so cute!!
Exactly what I thought. Great minds think alike!
I said the same 👍👍👍👍
I vote the same . Nubs and Chunk 😊
Yes! That was my idea too! Perfect for them.
I was on my way to comment this!
DaNelle: I'm going to fill my wait list this year.
Daphne: here, have two bucklings.
😂😂😂😂❤🎉
Thanks to you, these were alive. The second one is tall. Will she reject them since they came in?
@@audreyabdo7719I don't think you meant to comment to this person
@@audreyabdo7719 I'm going to guess no. DaNelle said Daphne was bonding to Wynona. So they'll be more bottle babies.
@@diannaclarke2758 I think she said that Daphne was already previously bonded to Wynona because they were mother/daughter.
@krbcan1569 you I got that after a second watch. I still don't think danelle will return the kids.
That size difference is crazy! They’re like Thor and Loki💕
I was thinking the same thing!!!
Their colors even say so. I vote Thor for the big one and Loki for the small one.
I vote this as well
Yess !
I love Loki and Thor.😊

I'm a og too I've been watching for five years
I've been watching since before the first honey bucket! It's so great having amazing people to watch on youtube
❤
Same!!
I’ve been watching for 6 years now. They’ve always been so awesome! It’s been so cool to watch DaNelle grow as a goat owner and start refining her herd! Daphne still looks so huge. I can't believe she only had 2!
Right?!
I was thinking the same thing
Bucket for the big one, and Beans for the little black one! He's like a little black bean. ♥
YESSS
Before I saw your name suggestions, I thought Bucket/big and Beans/small for the bucklings too. 🥰
Oh wow, Bucket and Beans are adorable, but I would reverse, Bucket for the little one and Beans for the brown one!
My thoughts exactly!! 🥰
@@livingwiththepets yes! (I just wanna use the name beans😭
Marbles for the big one and Beans for the little one. They're adorable!
Nubs for the smaller one and Mr. Sir for the larger!
Also, Luna's face after the udder-shaming made me chuckle. 😅
What beautiful kids! I vote for Beans for the little guy and Chunk for his big brother. I love them already!

No, he has his teeth so he was conceived in the same cycle as the bigger one:)

Big Boy looks like a 3 day old kid! I am praying so hard for his sweet little brother to make it. Heck, saying a rosary for a goat seems fine to me.
I had a really similar buckling born today, not near as bad will walk, and nurse yet he is pretty weak, what are the things you do for weak ones? He is a triplet, born first, and was butt first. The last was really big compared to him
You gotta go with chunk and nubs. Like it’s literally perfect
They are so cute 😍 I like beans for the little one and chunk for the big one.
Love your videos! Greetings from Germany 🌻
Bucket for the little guy who could fit in a tiny bucket, and Chunk; self-explanatory. Congratulations to you all!❤❤❤
