Him saying “sounds like we’re all going to die” is honestly pretty characteristic of Wheeljack. He was never hesitant about fighting and he honestly was a great fighter in battle. He was just saying “this plan is bad and we’re probably gonna die but screw it”.
Honestly, no offense to Edformers but I feel he is looking over things, I think the “Sounds were all going to die” line wasn’t supposed to be taken seriously but just for comedy

My theory is that wheeljack was supposed to be beachcomber but was changed due to the lack of relevance of beachcomber
All I wanna say about the coward thing and not wanting to fight is cuz they gotta fight unicron. A planet sized transformer and there wasn’t that many of them on the team. Their odds of survival were very low and anyone would be right to accept death in that moment
yeah he doesnt even know that unicron is coming so might as well accept fate since you are fighting a threat to all living organisms
But the Wheeljack we know is crazy, even if the plan was an irrational plan, he would attack and wouldn't be afraid, also Wheeljack is an engineer but not a nerd.

I was hoping he was an imposter and maybe in the next movie the real Wheeljack comes back and confronts him and it’s either another Autobot that stole his identity during escaping Cybertron or it could be a Decepticon waiting for the right moment. Not exactly a theory but more of something I hope ends up happening.

i believe why wheeljack says " sounds like we are going to die" is because the terrorcons are more powerful and menacing than the deceptions, and they are bringing unicron to earth, so that's why i believe why wheekjack said that
Wheeljack decided change his look by himself!!! He was investigate at Perú a rare energy emission by Optimus Prime's orders... That's the reason why He isn't in USA... He kept contact with Optimus Prime and the rest of Autobots, specially with Arcee (a communication and informatic speciallist).
My personal theory is that ROTB Pablo is actually another Autobot and Mirage calls him that as a joke name, Mirage is the only one who says Wheeljack

Previous transformers continuities confirm that multiple cybertronians will sometimes share the same name. So my personal theory is that ROTB Wheeljack/Pablojack isn't the Wheeljack seen in Bumblebee (2018), he's just another autobot who happens to share his name.

The same name was taken by a female Decepticon Seeker and and Autobot Minicon in the Aligned Continuity itself so it is totally possible
That would the mostly sense really. Kind of like how many humans have the same first or last name with the amount of people on the planet some are bound to share the same name in some form or other and I imagine a similar thing would also occur on Cybertron too. Also Pablojack is an amazing name for this nerdy bus.

All very interesting, my theory while not as exciting is that this was going to be a different character and was changed to be Wheeljack to get people talking about the movie and so they can sell more toys given that Wheeljack is a very popular character.

So the real wheeljack is actually in the deception ship because they got him in the bumblebee movie so MAKESHIFT did a different wheeljack so the autobots think he’s scand a different car.

I think that the film makers wanted to make a new design for wheel jack that was more expressive with his mouth than the lights. I think wheel jack was just a more careful scientist, and was says we’re going to die because he probably hasn’t had to fight someone in a long time, and might be out of shape.

I actually have One theory, while Airazor gives the transwarp key to scourge and scourge said “wait didn’t i kill you already?” He thought it was Apelinq that he killed during there fight in maximals world.
That is not a theory that is literally what that line means. He mocks Primal by reminding him of his mentor's death and implying that he thinks that since he killed Apelinq, he could kill Primal easily

Theory: the wheel jack in the bumblebee movie is the real wheel jack and i theorize that makeshift was already on earth and when he saw the auto bots he knew it was the time for him to make a move
I've got another theory. WHAT IF... Wheeljack was seriously damaged after landing on Earth (maybe by Decepticons), and had to rebuild his entire body? Like Barricade in TLK.
If Makeshift was imitating Wheeljack, why wouldn’t Makeshift make himself actually LOOK like Wheeljack. If you want to imitate someone, you wouldn’t make yourself look completely different. Even the voice kinda sounds different I think, and if he isn’t supposed to like nature…why would Makeshift act and sound different from Wheeljack.
Good theory though, but it doesn’t make sense at the same time when thinking about this.

It wasn’t the director’s idea to redesign Wheeljack it was the Paramount’s idea.

I personally theorize that this Wheeljack is a clone of the original rather than an imposter. Having been created by the Original Wheeljack for whatever reason with other Wheeljack clones and the Og Wheeljack still out there.

It may be that they adapt what happened in Transformers animated, that Shockwave was a Decepticon spy infiltrating the Autobots, also both are scientists

I think he simply enjoyed his time in Earth. He was fully armored in Bumblebee but he's more relaxed in ROTB with less armor. Plus the vehicle he's using for disguise is old and rusting.
Then optimus gets a alert that there is a imposter and he says "there's a imposter among us"
would be a big plot twist but i’m willing to see how they’re going to put it in the movie if it’s true

I think this is some random autobot that everyone’s mistaken for wheeljack in the movie and that the real wheeljack is still making his way to earth
If they in fact don’t bring back the original Wheeljack design for future movies, it’s a bit grim, but I hope they show the BB Wheeljack being executed in the Transit deleted scene, as Transit was intended to taunt Prime with holograms of Autobots being killed. My theory is that: this wheeljack or pablo is not a imposter, or makeshift, the developer make him like this becouse he is only ment to help prime and the other to find the other half of the key, and fight with the other in the end of the movie, and since they will be meeting him in peru, obviusly the dev gave him a peru-like design
