Riceboy Sleeps is one of my few all time favourites records ❤ Happiness is a pure masterpiece, but live it sounds even more amazing.

I fell in love with Riceboy Sleeps when it was released and kept coming back to it no matter how my taste it music changed. It's pretty much uncontested in its rich and organic sound. It's like they are painting with their sounds and every brushstroke is a masterpiece. So utterly beautiful and touching. I couldnt believe it when I learned they did a live version of all of this. The amount of work they put into this is stunning. What a time to be alive with music like this. Edit: And yeah, it's a shame they didn't visit us in Germany over here. We have great locations here with some of the best acoustics in the whole world. I'd love to experience this live but I am really grateful for this upload too.
@@etherealbonds the whole evening was perfect. The venue, the weather and even the long journey home on the train and busses was compete. About an hour after, I could only put on the album again and just listen.. This album will go down as my all time greats. A huge fan of all things post rock. I hope your staying safe and well in Germany!
Pure emotion, nuanced feeling, true lyrics would just get in the way of such expression. It manages to transcend so many barriers.
I wonder what Erik Satie would think of this. It's pretty much his vision of music executed in the absolute best humanly possible way.
I agree, Riceboy Sleeps does feel like a surrealist piece with the really nice juxtapositions in sound

Sleeping Giant is my all time favorite song ever. And to hear it live brought tears to my eyes.
