I went to his concert in Grand Prairie, TX, and I still can't find words to properly describe that experience. It was absolute raw emotion and adrenaline. And it has stayed with me, four years later.
That show remains in, not only one of my top concert going experiences ever, but any performance, any experience. The emotion, accompanying visuals, the musicians, Jonsi himself - the Go Live show was basically a spiritual experience like nothing I've seen before or since.
Oh my god, that concert was one of THE best experiences that I've ever had. It was such an emotional journey. When he did this song at the end, the imagery, all of the emotional outpouring from his vocals.. the only thing I could do was stand there, mouth agape and literally crying. I've never gotten emotional enough to cry at any concert before. It felt like a once in a lifetime experience.
Wow...I can only IMAGINE...it must have been pure Magic* I am 71+ and just discovered this Talented Artist after watching and listening to the last song in the Movie...Disconnect*
This played as encore/last song at his GO DO show was likely the most moving moment of my life. Even above child birth. I was left shaking in tears on the floor. I still get emotional thinking about this show
Brought out every single emotion in my body. At the end I was a emotional reck. Soo beautiful. Hads down best live performance I have seen to this day.

I always come back to listen ( or better...witness) this piece. The journey within these minutes is simply amazing...even through the maelstrom Jonsis voice guiding us..I love this...Thank you Jonsi . .
+David Brown Anyone tested out the Mobotallor Secrets (just search it on google)? We have noticed numerous awesome things about this popular grow taller system.
Just now, with those drum bursts at the end, reminded me of the ending of Bear McCreary's "Pegasus" theme on BSG! Beginning and ending of this song ... oh my goodness!
OK... Where am I?! This was like a surgery of feelings. The song should never stop. Just keep building up forever ;) The video edit made it even better.
I watched this live on Way out west /gothenburg years ago, this song just blew me away to another galaxy, and then back again when we had to leave the big festival concert tent where it was. Crazy good!!! This song alone, was a journey, like a the moment when you fall in love, or are about to die, (not that I know how that would feel) but it was so powerful!!!!
Couldn’t find this song for years!!! It was on final fantasy infomercial and a few others back in the day but could never find the name. Then it randomly pops up in my feed 😍🙏🏻
I will NEVER forget seeing this live!!! I swear I was holding my breath throughout this song just spellbound at the staging, projections and players alike- video doesn’t do it justice and it was truly a once in a lifetime experience! 😲👍
There is something mysteriously special about this song like I have heard this before in my dream when I was just a wandering soul like I have seen everything and destined to heard this again because I want to grow taller and search for it then ended up here always keeping in my mind that everything that is happening has a reason on purpose to found my true self again in the highest form of life everything in this world is connected and we are all one within
Not my preferred type of music, but I like like it because of the amount of talent the whole band has to start with something simple and and quite and how they can build it up something that is very impactful and amazing. Plus they do it and make it look so easy.
I just found this amazing piece of music, who and/or what is this magnificent sound? Is Jonsi a band? a person? and what other recommendations are there to listen?
+01coyote13 Jonsi is the lead singer for an Icelandic band called Sigur Ros. He did a solo album and went on tour for a short while a few years ago which is what this is from. If you like this, you'll like his other projects, such as the aforementioned Sigur Ros, as well as his work with his boyfriend Alex (under the name Jonsi and Alex). Any other post-rock musician or group is a good place to start for similar music!
Check out Sigur Ros - Brennisteinn, Njosnavelin, Hrafntinna, Glósóli and Jónsi - Go Do, Boy Lilikoi, Where No One Goes, Gathering Stories, Around Us, Sinking Friendships These I think are the best.
Very confused with that note held from 1:15 to like 1:45... is he actually holding that note for that long? Because he takes a noticeable breath after and I'm already in awe of Jonsí, but that's just incredible if he really held that note
Full body chills. Never heard a song that has moved me like this one.
Only Sigur Ros can make us feel that ..
It has so much energy, it has everything.. Love them 😍
Greetings ftom Mexico ✌️

Your post was 8 yrs ago but I just recently came across this band and I'm having the same experience you had.
Jonsi is a musical miracle
Why am I listening to this everyday, again and again? What's the matter with me?
YOU 'r not alone ... !!!!
Absolutely nothing!
no estas solo mi amigo... toma, acá tienes un hombro y un oído...
I want this played at my funeral, if there will be one. 💕
no words to describe this.
That was deeply spiritual right there.
No song's first few words ever before brought tears to my eyes till now.
This should be one of the best live musics ever
this is proof that icelandic elves really do exist
... so were the elves in Lord of the RIngs! Who says elves have to be tiny?
and his vocal chords are probably 2 inches long and the width of a pencil to be able to hit those notes
I always come back to listen ( or better...witness) this piece. The journey within these minutes is simply amazing...even through the maelstrom Jonsis voice guiding us..I love this...Thank you Jonsi

Jonsi Live was by far the best concert I've ever been to. This song inpurticular was a surge of emotion i have only felt a few times in my life.
wow absolute goosebumps... can almost feel time freeze as everything around continues to move and speed all around... moved me to tears
Jónsi is a genious!!! Soundtrack of my art.
One of my favorites songs makes me feel about life And just go for it
We don't need to die to hear an angel sing. This Classic is unreal. It touches my soul at the start and ends with a climax in my ears 😜
You're exactly right. As soon as I start listening to anything my Jonsi, my mind says "voice of an angel."
I can play it over and over.It is Fantastic!!! Stunning performance.
Just now, with those drum bursts at the end, reminded me of the ending of Bear McCreary's "Pegasus" theme on BSG! Beginning and ending of this song ... oh my goodness!
I don't think there's ever been a voice that moves me as much
Perfection as ever. In Jonsi we trust!
Hard not to get emotional watching this.
Simply magnificent. I was lucky to see this live.
I watched this video awhile ago and had the hardest time finding it again. Now it's on my playlist and stayin there.

Honesty, don´t like all music of jonsí solist, but this song is amazing and gorgeous. This song is pure magic.

Now this is someone with raw talent :)
rebekahjustloveslife it's hardly raw, quite refined actually. But it's remained pure. I think that's what you're trying to say.
i don't know, i think this is the greatest song that human made.
Esto es magia. Gracias

Just incredible. It's more of a journey than a song really. I just love this guy. Thanks so much for the post!

I get to know THIS concert was in my city half year after. Biggest regret :(
This song was a pure almost religious experience live.
This is still the only song of his that eases the mind for me right before putting me to sleep.
Was there in ATLANTA on Halloween! my one roommate started crying
very nice
i love the drummer.

He did indeed hold it that long. I was lucky enough to see one of the gigs from this tour, I think it was 2010. Will never forget it.
Check out sigur Rós Festival at Walt Disney concert hall with Los Angeles Phil. He holds a note for 1 minute and 45 seconds ;)
Choran, which song did he do that? I'v having trouble finding it.
