    Mzilikazi brutally killed Batswana ( Bakgatla ) Men and Boys. He threw them into burning Huts whose warriors set on fire during an unprovoked attack. The name "Tlhabane" means " place of blood shed, a place where people were being stabbed with spears". Batswana regained Tlhabane after launching an attack against Mzilikazi who by then has taken over that area. The Boers who wanted to avenge the brutal killing of General Louise Trichard by Mzilikazi joined Batswana in the war against Mzilikazi. They gave Batswana warriors Guns and together they uprooted Mzilikazi from Tlhabane and drove him and his people up north to present day Bulawayo in Zimbabwe. Like a coward he continued to run away until he reached Tanzania with some of his people. Mzilikazi is not and will never be a Hero of the Batswana nation or the Bakgatla Tribe.

      Sounds like someone within that municipality has misused their power. How does a fugitive get honored in a foreign land at which he misplaced and killed its natives.

      Mzilikazi never crossed into Zambia consequently never reached Tanzania. Zwangendaba of the Ngoni is sometimes confused for Mzilikazi.

    • @ZembeLezinkomo
      @ZembeLezinkomo Год назад +5

      Nonsense. You have your history confused. You are thinking of some other Nguni king., Zwangendaba of the Ngoni, maybe. Not only did Mzilikazi not go across the Zambezi, he ended up in Zimbabwe and is buried outside Bulawayo. How then do you explain the many Zim Ndebele people of Tswana heritage and Tswana being an official language in Zimbabwe today if he did that ? Also how do you explain the celebration of his son Nkulumane outside Rustenburg today where his grave is, if he did so much harm to the Tswana?

    He invaded Batswan lands but they mobilised, bought horses and waged guerilla warefare on jom and chased the invader out. He ended in Bulawayo. Batswana must reasearch our warriors who started guerilla warefare and be prepared to repel invaders again. We did the same with the Swazis in the Belfast area. Re boo magana go buswa. We are not as docile as you think. Lets use our wealth to mobilise and repel tribal imperialism once more.

      King Mzilikazi silenced all stubbor n Kings all the way from Zululand to Matebeleland. From the Caledon in the South to the Kalahari in the North he held sway. Pilane ran off to the mountains to live in a cave until the Boers rescued them. The Bakwena were living in trees when the missionaries found them . King Moletsane ' s BaTaung were chased all the way to Bloemfontein and destroyed in Kena just outside Bloemfontein together with his Griqua friends Jan Bloem. Those were hard times in Trans -Orangia. Transvaal Orange. When you know you know. Sazalwa thina phaya kwaMthwakazi. Sizalwa yizinsizwa.
