Yes. Completely agree with you! We need to stop focussing on perfection and instead just enjoy that we can experience such great stars like Jessi J and all the others out there.
And while we'are talking about the differences between female and male voices in one song I have another song suggestion for you. Could you please react to "Like a boy" by Nick Pitera? You've already reacted to him, but it was a much older cover song sang by him back then. His voice has improved insanely well over the years. Also "Like a boy" is an original song and especially in the lyric video you can see him singing allthough it's not a live version.

Jessie J coached on The Voice Uk in 2012 and 2013. Vince Kidd was her finalist. This performance of them was for the final episode of the The Voice first season. But unfortunately Vince couldn't win.
Jesse J is a powerhouse. That got shunned by the music industry because she refused to conform to who they wanted her to be. VOICE like that deserves to be highlighted.

As a high baritone/low tenor I can relate to that feeling of "I want him to sing higher" lol there are times when the original key for a song is comfy for the singer but when you try it it's too high so you sing it one octave lower and it ends up sounding like "meh" and it doesn't let your voice shine. I end up singing songs by mezzos one octave lower and that kinda works fine but it's not the same as finding a song that was actually written for your type of voice
I agree. I'm a tenor as well and can sing all the way up to c5, but because my range extends down to f2, the higher end of my chest voice is slightly lower than an average tenor, making it hard for me to find songs that I am comfortable singing and allows my voice to shine

JJ killed it, so much energy throughout song, no surprise there. Never heard Vince before. I didn't feel the energy from Vince at the start, however as the song progressed his energy went up then they both synchronized much better then finished on a high spirited, lively level. I think JJ's dynamic energy rubbed off on Vince over the course of the song. Always appreciate your reaction Tara....As a pleb I really like hearing your thoughts otherwise I would miss alot of the smaller nuance's....
