Classy Sims 3. I'd never get corruption but I'd always get the fate worse than crashing when the game would hang in CAStyle after spending a few hours on a house.

Sims 3 doesn't really corrupt that much(granted, I don't play it nearly as much as 2) since EA fixed most of the jank, but jesus did early life Sims 3 corrupt everytime you blink. I think I had several saves that were 1 in-game week old that still worked up.
Yeah, it’s definitely less corruptible than the sims 2 but just like any game, it happens. I never played the really early on version of the sims 3 but it makes sense that it was more unstable in the beginning.
@@Grimonvacation Yea, I also think S3 as whole would refuse to start up too. Idk what happened there since it doesn't appear to occur on later versions.
I've been playing Sims 3 for 8 years and have only experienced corruption once(that I know of). I don't know how this save ended up corrupted, but I remember playing it, saving and quitting the game, and then trying to load the save the next day, only for me to not even be able to find it. It was almost as if I had deleted the save, which I knew I hadn't. I brushed it off, but a year later I downloaded Delphy's Dashboard to check my game once it wouldn't start up due to conflicting mods, and I happened to notice that the save that had completely disappeared from my game was listed there as a corrupted save.
Funny enough, this corruption issues also happen in the console versions (360 and ps3), except you don't have an error message, the game stills going until every sim teleports and the map doesn't load properly.
Yeah, I've had issues on the 360 version,very weird glitches.
I have a similar play time on both games and back in like 2013 I used to corrupt my S3 game files more than I ever corrupted my S2 neighborhoods 💀 I dunno why but I remember having MUCH more issues with my S3 Sims than with S2
Great video! Sims 2 made me really worried with corruption of my savefiles, but actually I had more corruption in Sims 3 than in Sims 2 lol. But well I didn't play Sims 3 with fixes until now, so what could we expect? At this moment for me Sims 3 is running very well and with little lag thanks to all the tips from the amazing community, and my savefiles seems to be healthy! It's really satisfactory
I have too! I usually can't run a TS3 save file for more than 3-5 generations before something goes wrong - whole families duplicating, sims getting deleted from existence, sims getting stuck in vacation worlds, etc etc
I currently gave about 80+ hours in my main Sims 2 hood by comparison with nowhere near as many issues.
@@carolej339 wow, that's crazy. I've never reached beyond a 3rd generation in TS3 because somehow I always face with some issue in the neighborhood that makes me stop playing.
Actually my original comment aged like milk lol. I was getting this error that wasn't letting me save all the time and I quit...again. Now I'm playing TS2 like you and...it's much more stable. Yes sometimes it crashes or weird stuff happens but at least I can play it long term. I also like the gameplay and aestehtic from TS2 more, but sure I miss the open world
Everyone is so concerned about corruption in TS2, but I've never encountered one. Yet TS3 corrupted itself so often, even though I hadn't violated any game rules
I had a horrible corruption/glitch happen. I tend to marry non-townies, I love sims from university, future sims and others.
I planned a wedding - everything went smooth, all was good. And then a sim died. In The bathroom. And full on got stuck. All sims got stuck bcs of it. People were dying, grim wasn't grimming, it was chaos.
I left The game. Unfortunately that elder was already invited and so when replayed i made sure he didn't go to The toilet again. Yes he died again, but ať least other sims didn't.
Another horror stuck sim thing was my toddler that got stuck playing with his dad. Resets did nothing. He got stuck, social worker did too. Grim couldn't get The father either and this was a New safe. Tho, to be fair, this was a 2011 savefile, maybe 2010, so early on and ať The time it wasn't and original copy (I switched to original copies and now own all packs).
Isla paradiso, Unfortunately my favourite town, was also a headache. Ghosts on graveyard getting stuck, cats randomly having broken meshes but human animations, a horse getting stuck on a houseboat, mermaids swimming INSIDE THE LANDMASS and Kraken not killing properly.
I had thumbnails disappear, saves crashing, lots not working, items looping sims, non-dying sims, hard resetting sims upon using intwractions and I still have many of these (photobooth making sims relationships bug out, strollers not working, resetting on beds, walking through certain items, climbing bunkbeds through walls etc.)
But now, week 16 of a savefile with 7gb of cc later, am pretty ok. Some minor bugs happen, but I have Backups, OVERWATCH (thank god i love overwatck), traveller (again, thank u sm nraas) and Story progression. All is good. And I am so happy.
isla paradiso fixes by ella also are currupted apparently becuase of a caw bug
Oh what!? I never heard about that! Thanks for telling me. Well that sucks, guess I’ll have to go in and fix things myself when I wanna play Isla Paradiso.

i have a huge problem when it comes to the Sims 3, everytime i get to the fifth gen the age stops like they just stop aging and i have to do it through Testingcheats, no matter the save file , it also has happend with every sims 3 game i have had through the years on different computers,
im a litte unsure if this is corruption or not and i never touch the game files without reason, i don`t really know what to do ?
Forgot to add , it was only the first time ever i got to play for like 20 generations without aging problems, on my dads PC but i was 11 and only had the Basegame i dob`t know if that had anything to do with me being able to play with the same family longer
It could be that your save has become overwhelmed after so many generations and the game stops trying to do things that might worsen it. I’m not too sure but using mods like the overwatch mod and master controller mod might help cleaning the save up. If you don’t wanna use mods right away maybe try messing with the age sliders in settings and see if that helps reset it first.
Yeah, the more content you have in your game, the more the game has to deal with and that can make your game slower and overwhelm saves. If I take out all my mods and expansions then the base game runs smooth as butter but once I start adding all my stuff back it gets slower and slower. Even just getting through loading screens can be a pain depending on how good your computer is and how much stuff is in your game.
@@Grimonvacation I’m not too familiar with mods I have no idea how to install them or deal with them, but I’ll try the age slider and see if it helps, also you’re more than welcome to use my comments for a future corruption video if it is corruption, maybe I’m not the only one with this problem

I've had a annoying bug in sims 4 where I saved while wanting to travel and I was stuck in the travel screen I couldn't do anything and so I sent it to EA and they fixed it... Never had corruption in TS 1 n 2 but 3 and 4 are a mess, bug wise

Yes I am still doing sims 2 corruption, it’s just that I take small breaks to not get burnt out 😄

tbh Sims 2 are actually less corruptable than Sims 3 when it comes to save files. I did crazy shit when I was younger in the Sims 2, like crazy amount of lots, endless generations, npc added and stuff and I never got my hood corrupted. Unfortunatelly I lost few saves in Sims 3. Especially World Adventures were glitchy for me. I think Sims 2 corruption is a big exaggeration, it's not that bad, I deleted Bin families everytime, killed endless sims and deleted graves and nothing happened besides randomly metting my sims clones as apartment residents
I also think The Sims 2 corruption is massively overstated and there's way too much fear-mongering surrounding it, especially compared to The Sims 3. Sims 3 has never been stable for me, regardless of how good the computer I'm using, and almost all of my saves become corrupted within a few generations.
It's actually pretty hard to corrupt The Sims 2 if you install the clean templates. Whereas The Sims 3 corrupts from regular gameplay all the time from my experience. I. E. Duplicating sims/families, getting stuck in the vacation world, sims going missing from the game entirely, etc etc.
I have more issues with TS4 than 2 too but it's mostly just simulation lag and objects/interactions being broken, not actual corruption.
@@carolej339Sims 3 with the NRAAS mods is pretty stable for me. Have played a savefile for 11 generations and nothing has ever happened besides a few crashes here and there.
The only time I’ve ever been upset with the sims three is that for some reason in some of my saves my girl toddlers wouldn’t age up, I never managed to fix it and it felt weird watching her brothers age up but not the girls so I abandoned the saves.
I’ve experienced this issue once, I don’t remember if I ever fixed it or abandoned the save tho 🥲

Sims 3 suffers greatly from custom content related errors. Dramatisim has a video on her channel still where her sim in a legacy challenge turned into a toddler after changing outfits. Apparently generations also carries a huge bug that can cause endless looping pregnancies.
What do you mean by looping pregnancies and how does that happen?

Best way to keep your game running
- Get Nrass Mods( It help with all the bugginess of the spagettii coding of sims 3)
- Please keep in mind what you download mods or cc
- Also have smooth patch ( help with lagginess)
- Clean your save file
- Make sure you have enough ram to run sims 3

I had this problem where my babies, toddlers and children would literally disappear from the world (like from the families I wasn’t playing for a while in the save). Like they would show up in the family trees and stuff but they were just gone and they never aged up after disappearing. I only have this problem after like generation 3 and having big families

That's why in Sims 2, 1 neighborhood fill 5 families sims (first, create 1 Ma'am sim as first live, become shover sims & angry due 1 of sim play i command use telescope or career reward intelligent do spy neighbor), 20 total in 4 different neighborhood & delete entire neighborhood that 5 families sims i play reach "the end" then replace backup neighborhood that clean new, so "resetting" begin make 5 families sims without junk old families & in Sims 3, same 20 total families in 4 different neighborhood (i decide not play temporary Isla Paradiso for increase skill scuba diving, add skill scuba diving use snorkel in ocean real neighborhood that i play, use spawner seashell etc to collection Island Paradise, shark tooth very hard to get without diving spot) but avoid save game error, so 1 family sims reach "the end", play next family sim in different save file with other 3 families sims without 1 family sims that reach "the end", replace with 1 family sims that later i play in circle 4 neighborhoods (family 1 after the end, another save file contain family 2, current play, 3, 4 & 5 + 6 future play later after 4 neighborhoods reach the end, back to neighborhood 1 play family 6) & so on. Sometimes, if success copy household with house, move to backup save file, "clean new". If can't, i dare risk play old save file (must original neighborhood that i put play for certain sim) until reach "the end". Complicated, right🖥️🖱️⌨️🌈🌈🌈🌈?
Save error cause forget save then exit then come back again when change cloth & hairstyle etc. Always save error when high very high setting/performance, must off/low performance except water and mirror reflection, fortunately, i still comfortable see sims etc looked high detail when zoom in, close to see, that happen when install all Expansion Packs & Stuff Packs. Households become corrupted so can't copy to Library because go to World Adventure & go world home back forth without copy them to Library so sad must always not finished 1 China adventure mission & should more adventure mission in France that very hard to get or just invisible cause someone get Visa level 3, usually a Papa get it, for chance family sim can success go to university & gets A degree & copy household with house after that.
1 family sim have big house with lots of things, must save 1 or 2 times, then exit & come back, because if third times that play many minutes or 1 house later, always save error.
I don’t know what happened to my sims 3, but boy it ended up borked, my family went bald, they got stuck at the birthday cake, I couldn’t save. I had no idea what was happening, so I just reinstalled it. It must’ve been corruption.
