May sounds not too significant, but with the fact that prime LD was a fast, consistent and powerful player, it makes a lot of differences to add shot quality to it. Plus LD was also one of the best readers of the game too.

Not to disrespect new players but Chong Wei moved so fast. Too fast. You see current faces like Naraoka and they seem to move a bit more sluggishly and unstable don't they. But LCW, man, it's seamless, there's no redundancy, it's amazing.
I think LCW & CL were about the same level overall. H2H between the two also about the same. CL more towards impenetrable defense while LCW more on attacking. However, CL won whenever it mattered the most (WC & Olympics).
