I remember strumming with my thumb early on because it was easy. And it was fairly quiet as I wasn't very good. But with time and confidence I can strum with the best of them now! Happy holidays Anarchists!
Good tips guys. Also I would add how important is positioning ukulele before playing, because a lot of beginners hold it like guitar instead at 45 degree angle. Strumming patterns are very important, rhythm. Fingerstyle is the most complexed. I got some online class with musician in Poland, he is playing on ukulele, guitar, violin and god know what else. That Twinkie little star was nice with open strings
