He made laugh alot too and I finally got strumming down after one full year of trying. Guitar is a cool thing and drawing out chords really helps take ur mind off of things. Drawing out Fret board also. 😢sorry u don't feel well..this world is crying, Empaths are really absorbing far to much. I don't know you but bless you 💯🌹.. drink from Kengan water machine if u can .it's fully healing

Man this is so damn useful, I used to have like two main strum styles and I'd always choose one of them whenever I didn't know the actual strumming of the song and it sounded like ASS!!!! You explain it so well even a snail could learn thank you I no longer suck🙏

Different picks, gluing sand paper on the pics etc. I’ll strum while playing the Doors “love her madly” and when it comes for me do the short solos, my pick has already rotated just enough to screw me up. I’ve resorted to using super glue on my fingers and pick. Gross but effective….

when i strum upward sometimes it gets caught or ruins the rhythm cuz i’m worrying too much about upward strums (i’m not a complete beginner but i’ve struggled w this for a while :/ ) sometimes i’ll have a moment when it’s ok when fast but idk
Without seeing how you strum, it can be hard to say. Things to try, the angle of your hand as you strum, you may be rolling your hand downward, which can make it 'feel' easier to strum downstrokes, but you do get your index closer to the strings.. try keeping your hand more level as you strum. Second, angle of the pick in hand, or placement in general. Make sure you have enough pick exposed so your fingers don't have to get too close to the strings~

Sunday morning coffee and strumming with Stuart :) I use a metronome sometimes and also a weird pick with a hole to grip more easily.

Uncle Stuart Why does my index finger keep hitting the strings when I’m strumming especially on the downstrokes :/
