Hey Richard! This is such a great breakdown of hyperarousal and helping people understand why it's silent sometimes. Nothing stranger than having a body that's tired and a brain that's wide awake! Amazing 🧡🧡🧡

I haven’t seen him before. Is he AI generated? 🙃 Very articulate! Also, I’ve purchased nearly all of your books and they are incredible! Thank you, Daniel! So grateful.❤

This channel and Martin Reed's Insomnia coach are a live saver for people with insomnia.
It is all about a change of perspective. Nothing has helped me more than this kind of stuff on RUclips..not even the best therapists have sufficient knowledge how to approach someone with insomnia.
Unfortunately it took me 2 years to find this content.
Thank you Daniel and thank you Martin Reed for saving my life.

Hi Richard and Daniel, another excellent video. I very much enjoyed it. Thanky you.😊
I suffer from very severe hyperarousal, which has led to me suffering severe chronic insomnia. Please can you link me some videos on how to deal with hyperarousal so that I can bring it down further?
I believe my insomnia is slowly getting better as I had really bad paradoxical insomnia for months. Now I'm having hypersleep, so my hyperarousal is slowly coming down. Thank you

Can this also show up with many wakeups in a night like fragmented sleep? I feel when I get the body hyperarousal then I have a hard time falling back to sleep, but when I'm pretty peaceful I still wake up multiple times a night and barely anything makes a dent in this pattern. Can hyperarousal also show up with very vivid and often lucid dreams that initiate the wake up?

I've had similar issues and before I used to sleep without waking up at all during the night so yes I think so. I think the key is to stop fearing sleep by acceptance and to embrace awekfulness. Because the anxiety and fear is what keeps us stuck. At first even nights of "successful sleep" we will probably wake up alot since or body has gotten used to this anxiety response but if we don't get overwhelmed by this fear.and anxiety and rather accept it and let it go on its own we will eventually recover.by ourselves i believe. We need to accept that sleep is out of our control and lack of it not as dangerous as it may seem so that our brain will stop desperately looking for solutions on how to fix sleep that only worsen the problem. Idk if what I wrote made sense but I hope it did!

Why is it that I always wake up at the same time everyday (5am). I do get into bed most nights the same time, but on weekends I would love to be able to go to bed later and wake up later but my body is used to waking up at 5 during the week (I don’t even need an alarm) and it happens weekends too, yet my husband can sleep in till 7 weekends. Is it because his bed time is different everyday?

This is exactly what I am going through at the moment and trying to implement timeless sleep window . Is it also no matter what time you go to bed you also wake up 5 - 5 smth ? Has it been going on for a while ?

@@jelenat1271 I have never been one to sleep in late even when I was younger. At the age of almost 34 even on weekends I do like my early mornings, it’s just sometimes if I go out for drinks with my husband and friends or a later dinner I would love to have the option to sleep in, but usually my body is up at that time no matter what. I don’t know if it’s because subconsciously I feel like I’m missing out and have stuff to do (I have ocd), but I’m not sure, this is why I asked this question to just see if he had any comment about this.
