    Waiters and waitresses work extremely hard and you can tell how much they were touched by your generosity. I love the PrankItFwd campaign and will always support their causes. We had the honor of working on the last PrankItFwd campaign with Stuart Edge and if there is ever another opportunity, I'd love to help you all again :) Excellent video bro

    I've talked to waiters before and they tell me they go home with a lot of cash. They serve many tables and get tips averaging $7-$10 per table, doing just 10 tables would average you $70-$100 a day! These "poor" waiters don't need any sympathy nor big tips, all they are doing is taking orders and carrying your food to your table, not a lot of technical or brain skill involved. For the same service you can find others who would do the same for a lot less. Also I'm sick of hearing about their per hourly wage being low, the tips they generally receive is more than enough for what they do.

    • @Nia22502
      @Nia22502 9 лет назад +22

      ***** the way it works though is if they aren't getting tips, they're probably not doing a very good job. it's not like each table is going to rally together and be like "hey you guys have the same server as us, let's not tip them lol".

    Here is a funny story. In Turkey, a businessman tipped his server 10.000$. Yeah there are people THIS rich. But this is not the story. Story is, when the waiters friends learned about it, they wanted their share. The guy who took the 10k, obviously didn't want to share. Fight broke out. Some waiters gone to the hospital, others to the police station. Police had to bring the businessman to the station to learn which one of the waiters he gave the money originally... True story.

      ***** Yes, in America most waiters/waitresses make below minimum wage because of how heavily their jobs rely on tips. But then keep in mind that they usually receive enough to make up for that by far. But it's still a harsh system. Waiting on tables is a stressful job from what I've seen and heard.

  • @brantisonfire
    @brantisonfire 9 лет назад +4

    I understand the premise behind why people do this and record it; the internet eats this shit up. In my opinion, publicizing your good deeds just makes the act into a stunt for attention's sake. It's still a nice gesture, but should I do the same thing every time I hold the door or elevator for someone, or give someone a few cents in front of me in line so they can get even change back from their purchase?

    • @AngeliqueMagic
      @AngeliqueMagic 9 лет назад +4

      You hold doors for people. They give hundreds to underpaid people. Yeah, clearly you're doing the exact same as them.

    • @brantisonfire
      @brantisonfire 9 лет назад

      AngeliqueMagic
      Yeah, but they're not just doing it and being satisfied with themselves. They need to show people so that they can get the recognition and praise from others. There's many people who donate hundreds, thousands and more to charities and never publicize it at all. What's the difference between those people and the people making this video: a lack of humility.
      And yes, I'm doing the exact same thing as them. If I had more to give I would do it, but I don't. I'm working within my means to do good for others. If you discredit my acts of kindness because they lack monetary value, maybe you're placing the emphasis on the wrong variable in the situation.

    • @AngeliqueMagic
      @AngeliqueMagic 9 лет назад

      joh n That's a good point. SIKE. If they don't film it how will you know it even exists? Also it was part of "Prank it Forward" either they film some parts of it or they seem like gigantic assholes for not doing it.
      Also, if you helped a homeless man open a door while you have hundreds in your pocket, and then a man proceeds to give him $200. No, you are NOT doing the same thing.
      Yes it is about money and it's value. People care about money, obviously, without it they'd be living on the streets.
      So if YOU lived on the streets would you prefer people pat you on the shoulder and told you to pray or would you like someone to actually help you the fuck out?

    • @brantisonfire
      @brantisonfire 9 лет назад

      ***** Okay, I can understand where you're coming from now. At least you aren't getting bent out of shape like the other commenter. Anyone would love to get a two-hundred dollar tip. I should look at this more in the frame of its for the "Prank if Forward" promotion or event or what-have-you. I'm just instinctively cynical when it comes to these types of things. Disregard and carry on, my friend.

    Waiters/waitresses get enough money as it is! They get around $15-$20 an hour for their work.

    • @Th3Shadowwalker
      @Th3Shadowwalker 9 лет назад +3

      The American federal government requires a wage of at least $2.13 per hour be paid to employees that receive at least $30 per month in tips. If wages and tips do not equal the federal minimum wage of $7.25 per hour during any pay period, the employer is required to increase cash wages to compensate.
      Tell me again how much they make?

    • @Jakeyfree
      @Jakeyfree 9 лет назад +5

      They make around $15-$20 average. You threw laws at me that everyone knows. Yes, that is the minimum wage. Good for you for copying and pasting by the way. By serving 4 tables an hour with a standard 3-4 dollar tip PLUS wage = around $20 an hour. Idiot.

    • @AngeliqueMagic
      @AngeliqueMagic 9 лет назад +2

      ***** 15 - 30 average? Do you even live in America, they're lucky if they get paid above minimum wage! Minimum wage is about 7 dollars currently in the United States. 15-30 dollars an hour? Either you've been watching too much TV shows or you're tripping.

    • @AngeliqueMagic
      @AngeliqueMagic 9 лет назад

      ***** Also, you assume that everyone leaves tips, in which case I can tell you, they do not. Assuming that they can serve 4 TABLES an hour. Hahahaha that's funny, because every hour of the day the place is jam packed.

    Truth is, they could have probably saved the lives of about 50 african kids with the money they gave away to people who didn't even need it... But offcourse, they wouldn't be able to make a video and get credit.

      if 1,000,000 people watch the video, BREAK will give $1000... That's more than those tips. If they didn't do the video, they'd get less.
      It's a combination of brand awareness and charity awareness that support eachother. Without one, the other wouldn't happen.

      How do you know they didn't need it, servers aren't generally paid well that's why that man was hiding tears. Next time don't be so ignorant

    This is the one prank channel I really love because most if not all of Andrew videos are harmless or just helpful. Some of the other ones I see are at the expense of the person being pranked but-to rephrase his post-with this CHANNEL everyone wins.

    If anyone is wondering why a couple of them didn't look so excited, they probably have to share their tips. I have been a server and I always hated that. Some servers are very rude and don't even try. Some are amazing people also though. :) Wicked nice of you all. Your videos make me smile all the time. God Bless
