It’s actually really smart to use the maple sugar bits for a couple reasons. Without the nuts a larger amount of logs will be sold. Most nut allergies are so severe that even if only one person in the household does eat nuts and has them around it could potentially trigger an allergic reaction. Makes a person more likely to buy one for a family gathering because they know it’s allergy safe.

the cake isn't thrown away, its cut into 3 pieces, watch carefully. For whatever reason, the script reads that it's thrown away, It obviously isn't. Profit margins on food are extremely thin. If they were actually pitching 2/3 of the cake away, they would make no money. The machine clearly puts the three slices into 3 containers.

The real logs were NOT a Christmas tradition.
As the name suggests, they were a YULE tradition. A Norse-Pagan ritual.
If you're going to give information, make sure it's correct.

So stupid. Instead of allowing waste, simply don’t put the ice cream and jam that close to the edge of the cake. It won’t overflow and need to be trashed. Even amateur home bakers know how to make jelly roll cakes this way. God knows there’s enough ice cream on top of it anyway lol
