@@thomascooper3616 I wanted it to be good because I’ve been watching his reviews for a long ass time but I’d rather have tombstone or Red Baron any day. It’s gotta be hard to make a quality pizza when the bigger guys already have the market cornered and can make theirs for half the price. Hope he comes out with a remake.

He's the son of the owner of Giuseppina's and is a really cool guy. That place makes phenomenal pizza, right on par with Lucali's but without the insane lines.

That looked like a dried out slice you’d grab out of the warming rack and the time written on the wrapper was an hour ago. And you give it an 8.2? C’mon Dave you said yourself anything over an 8 is spectacular and you would drive for it. No way I’m driving for hot garbage like that. The scale is so far out of whack I don’t even know how you can recalibrate it so that the scores can be taken seriously again 🧐🤷🏻♂️

You could tell by the noises he makes when he first bites into it whether it’s a 9 or not. I was thinking this would’ve been in the 7’s by his reaction. Good save by doing the low 8’s.
i was thinking the same thing, if he doesn’t do the cockeyed head nod and and the raised eyebrows it’s in the 7’s for sure. he was talking big game about the legacy so i pegged him for an 8.3, got close

I just got a kidney transplant a year ago... a month before the surgery i went to lucali and 3 months before that my wife called lucali to tell them i was getting a transplant and thats how we got in, beyonce and jay-z's favorite pizza as well and let me say it lived up to the hype best pizza i ever had maybe now I'll call and say the transplant was a success so they can give me another reservation...lol

Heres what I love people in Detroit would say that is a Detroit slice, but in fact they stole that square from Brooklyn, which is a "Sicilian" slice..plus they use cheaper Wisconsin cheese vs. Brooklyn style has imported mozzarella..
Dried overcooked slightly burnt pizza... Score should have been 6.3 at best.

Funny how for soooo many decades, Brooklyn was the place so many people avoided. You couldnt catch a cab in manhattan to Brooklyn for your life. Then, After 911, people got afraid of manhattan and started peaking into Brooklyn. The late 80's early 90's saw realestate investors laying claim to Brooklyn Brownstones places like park slope and carol gardens. Secretly celebrities were moving in. ANd everything was kept hush hush as gentrification was slowly taking over. then came the explosion. People finally learned what brooklyn had to offer, a mirror image of what manhattan has to offer but often nicer. a vast variety of neighborhoods, exotically multi cultural. Beaches, Parks, museums, piers.. and much much more. a beautiful borough, with access to the rest of long island. ANd easy access to manhattan. everything you need just a walk away. great schools. true neighborhoods with neighborhood lifestyle. And brooklyn saw another revival in startup businesses. so much investment. now its the place to be.

I went to lucali a few weeks. It’s good but overhyped in my opinion. I wish I would’ve liked it as much as Dave did.
it is almost as if which pizza is the best is entirely subjective and dave's word isn't the law... I'd even say it's far from the law since a lot of the time he has no idea what he's talking about.
