I just want to thank you, I’m new at this and I ordered the accessories you suggested like the cheese plate, the l grip etc. now watching this I moved the wireless transmitter to the top of the L grip so I can attach the speaker I will eventually get to the bottom of the camera/Weebil Lab S gimbal.
@PeterMakholm Your video checked all the boxes for adding accessories to the Weebill S. I just got mine and was trying to figure out how to add my microphone. Thanks so much for this video!
Thank you for the awesome video! Can you please share where I can find that bottom plate that you secure the rode mini microphone under? I’m not sure where to find something like that. Thank you!
how about the mic jiggle? Most rodes are mounted so that they are not fixed stiffly to the camera. Does that microphone jiggle impact the camera smoothness?
Great work Peter! I purchased the new digital mic which connects to the hot shoe on the Sony A7r4. I can’t get full sling mode, but as I’m a video rookie it will do for now! 😀👍
Wish they sold the wireless transmission mounting plate for the bottom side separately. The side extension arm (from your other replies) seems to work but the solution you have seems more compact and direct.
What happens if the plate on the bottom didn't come with your gimbal as I didn't buy the transmission package? Can you buy this separately or is there an alternative without buying the transmission?
Yeah, you are right. I am rebuilding the whole studio during the next couple of month and a table is on the list. It is actually a small shelf from Ikea I had left over, it is not ideal.
Hi Peter, could. you please share where to buy this cheese plate? I haven't found it on Internet, I only have been able to find some bigger plates that don't fit well. Thanks!

Hi Peter, thank you for thisVideo! I just got a Gimbal Weebill S with an Canon M50 and the Rode Video Mic Pro. Do you also have a solution for me to use this type of microphone also, cause it is much bigger than the Rode VideoMicro??? Thank you for your help! 😇🙏 Best regards Swen
Hi mate! Great video.. I have a Sony A6400 and I’m looking to get a Crane 3, and will want to do the same thing you’ve done, as I’ll have a Deity D3 pro mic to attach! What Small Rig would you recommend in order for it to not hit the crane 3? Cheers!
Hi there, I am currently shooting w/ the Panasonic 4K camcorder and Zhiyun Weebill S. I followed your instructions and ordered the Rode videomicro along w/ the smallrig attachment to screw onto my gimbal. The trouble that I am running into is, I cannot screw the smallrig attachment into the cold shoes of the mic as you did. Is there another attachment that I am missing that is needed to decrease the diameter of the cold shoes screw on the mic so I can actually have some stability?
Have you been balancing the gimbal with the microphone on? I am just wondering if it would need rebalancing each time it would go with or without the microphone.
Hi Peter, thank you for your great videos! I need your help! I got a new Canon M6 Mark II + Weebill S + Deity D3 Pro. Everything works great but I have noticed that in all my clips I got a very high pitch electric hiss that disappears when I disconnect the control cable from the Gimbal to the M6 USB port. Same problem with other external mic live Rode Mic Pro. I can't find a solution! I have changed almost 4 cables (everything is brand new!) but the problem is still present! No problem if I don't use an external mic (the audio is clean) but every time I plug a boom mic (and connect the camera to the gimbal) the hiss is constant (it's clearly some sort of static noise: always present and with no variations) Have you ever experienced such a problem! Please help me! From Italy Marco
Hi Marco, No I haven't had this problem. But I never conect my camera to the gimbal. I like to adjust the settings directly on the camera and not throug the gimbal.
@@PeterMakholm Thank you, Peter! I have passed the whole day using the controls on my camera (and not those on the gimbal) and - you are right! - I was really much comfortable!!! Thank you, Peter!!!!
Hey, Peter, what’s up! I was wondering where did you get those dual handles from? I’ve been looking for something like for a while and couldn’t find anything.
Hey Peter, the thread mount on the small rig magic arm (1/4") is a different size than the thread on the Rode microphone shoe mount (3/8"). Whats the easiest solution for this? Is there a special adapter I could use? I'd like to connect it to the front of the Weebill S like you pointed out. Thanks.
how do you balance it if the mic on top of the camera. mine get shaking when i set the motor on auto but the shaking gone when i put motor setting to the low. should i keep it with the low motor preset of should i make custom setting?
I don’t. Mount the mic on the side of the camera. Remember to Balance the system with the mic mounted. Then autotune and if you have any vibrations turn down the motor strength until all vibrations are gone.
Hi Peter, great video as always ;) I have a question though, why not mounting the mic at the same spot and with the cage also on the Weebill-S ? Is that about the weight or about the short range of the side rack (up/down when camera facing front). I have a Weebill-S with a A7III, that I mount to the gimbal with the Manfrotto RC2, but no cage so far and audio is always a problem for me... Currently, I'm trying to use more the Rode Wireless Go II with it. I've managed to balance it well with the receiver on the camera's cold shoe, but if it's good for a walking interview, it isn't a good setup for events and things like that because I don't catch the sound from around the camera and therefore I always to pay attention to where my Wireless Go is positioned in the room :/ I'm thinking of buying a cage now (with a NATO rail, for quick handheld too), but I don't how it will be balanced and if the cage will not bother me or if I'll still have enough clearance for the Rode Wireless go as well as been able to balance it 🤔 Maybe with weights put under the bracket ? My gimbal lens is the 16-35mm f/4. I want to keep the setup as versatile as possible. Having the mic on the cage would allow me to quickly undo it for handheld shot as well 🤔 Thank you
Hi Peter... Can I ask you... With weebill S linked to gh5 with lumix 12-35mm (usb connection) , can I use focus wheel on weebill to move the lens focus without ufficial zhyiun follow focus accessory? Thanks a lot!
Hi Peter, does the gimbal pan axis hit the handle? I bought a different handle recently and had that issue, so looking for one that will let that axis clear without bumping into it. Thanks!
@@PeterMakholm Awesome thanks! I bought it, so I will test it out. Really like your videos they have been helpful. One last question, how much weight have you been able to put on the gimbal?
