Hey Peter. I just got the Weebill S for my birthday (thanks, family). Your video is perfectly timed as I jump down the rabbit hole of vlogging with a gimbal. My first question, of many, is which of the 6 gimbal film mode would you recommend to use when I’m walking/talking (selfie style)?
Smooth is actually how it eases in and out when controlled with the joystick And the higher the number the lower the smoothness, the lower the number the higher the smoothness
Peter, I know this has nothing to do with gimbals, but you should add a backlight to make yourself stand out from the background. It would look so nice.
@@PeterMakholm i just got a little horizon wobble even walking super carefully, i see is a typical problem for many users, i will test if can be fixed by calibration or with your custom settings
I really love your job man I'm considering to get the weebill s gimble but I've heard about some broken lock mechanisms on it... Should I be worried about it? Really apreciate your comments here.
It’s really helpful when you bring your experience which is way more than basic tips. The best knowledge of weebill s. I have a question: I’m using your settings and My setup is light, just a7III 24mm 1.4 GM. Should I set less strength on motors? To avoid the ‘gitters’
my weebill s always seems to start tilting to one side, how do i straighten it out? the old zhiyun crane models would rotate a little right or left with the joystick, now that just pans and i cant get the shots to stop being off axis.
Hi. Need the weebil s settings. My gimbal seems to he very shaky even while walking. I have 2.05 update installed. U can share the settings. I will be able to Do it myself
When using an arca swiss quick release plate my Camera rises ofc and the lens support doesn't reach my sigma 18-35mm. Do you know a longer lens support version?
Hi Peter! Thank you for the great content on ypur channel. I've seen a lot of your YTs and have a tip for you. I have searched a lot on the YT without finding any good video of these (costum) settings for the Ronin RS 2 or RSC 2. I've bougt the RSC 2 and are playing with these settings. Hi Peter... I have some issues with my horizontal line .. not perfect.. already did six side calibration... and the settings is the same of yours... do you think can i do something to fix that? when i do a lateral movement, i lost the green horizontal line ... thanks for all your videos.. helping me a lot
@@PeterMakholm i did... but i mean when i make some movement and lose the green line.. but he is back to the center after stop the movement ... maybe normal... right?
Hi Peter, Thank you for your Tutorials! Do you use the Same Settings for the crane 2s? Since the newest update i have jitter issues! But i cant get the Older Firmware to my crane because i cant connect to my Mac.
Hi Peter! thanks for your video. I use this gimbal with a Sony A7iii + G Master 16-35 f2.8. When I calibrate the gimbal with the lens at 16mm it does more weight forward than when I use it at 35mm. Is it possible to have a correct calibration that works for the entire focal length range? If I calibrate it at 16mm and then use it at 35, sometimes when I pan from above to the ground (using PF mode) the camera "droops" back a bit, as if it were put into Vortex mode. Do you have any suggestion?
Thanks mate great tips... I'd like to ask that my joystick does not move left to right.. Up and down is ok but I could not figure why it does not move left or right
Thanks for the helpful video. Please do not forget to engage the hi-pass (50-60 hz) filter/eq setting on your voice, still got some runaway rumbles ; ) Best regards 🖖
Yes I will do a video, the motor settings are set super low, but most of the advanced setting are the same. I am currently testing the setting and I have adjusted them a bit. I am also in contact with Zhiyun regarding the motor settings that are so low that they cant be adjusted. So video coming up
Hi Peter and thank you for your time Im having some issue with my weebill s first I need to manual adjust the horizontal level by Roll Angle for 2 degree and second when tilting up with the joystick after 45 degree it loose horizontal level again. Is that something common or my gimbal is faulty. Thanks
Wooow, how did you get TILT motor strength 56. Mine is 5, and value above is causes vibrating of the gimbal, even if it is perfectly balanced. My gear is Sony a7s with Sigma 16mm. I'm still not satisfied of my video, it looks like shooting from hand. Unfortunately autotunes doesn't not works fine in my case. It always vibrating after I autotune. What goes wrong? Any suggestion how can I improve my settings?
Not working with the Sony a7iii. Software seems to be "beta" at best, is confusing and the movements don't approach anything that the DJI products can do quite easily. Sorry, I tried. Sent it back in exchange for DJI.
Hi Peter I’m on the latest weebill firmware + the quick release as you recommend + the rode mic on top + your weebill recommenced settings This set up actually pushes the mic too high and it touches the axis when I go into sling mode , the motor also seems to be a little shaky even without the mic so I think it’s not perfectly balance ?
Hi I would never put the mic on top of the camera, unelss you have a cage and can get the mic out to the side so it wont interfer with the backarm of the gimbal. If you get vibrations in any of the motors, adjust the settings until the vibrations are gone. You proberly will have to lover them a bit.
Can anyone help me! I am using same settings but everytime I switch to Go mode motors go crazy if pitch down. Is it normal? Also, why ZY PLAY APP keeps on disconnecting, do I need to update to latest firmware 😕😕
Hey, thanks for this helpful video but I still have a question. Is it normal that the Weebill S gets warm? The pan and roll axis legs are getting warm (not hot though) after some time, and I was wondering if that is normal or in some way is manageable by tweaking some settings? I used the auto-tune function and then did as you advised in your video (not saying the heat comes from these setting) :-)
I’m having issues with Weebill S horizon being off. I heard that 6 side calibration would fix it. I’ve never done the 6 side calibration before but decided to do it. However, without a camera mounted on the gimbal, it vibrates very badly, even after auto tuning. I tried changing motor settings, but after a few minutes the gimbal went to sleep, I assume because the motors overheated. Any thoughts/ideas about how to overcome this? How can I calibrate it while it’s vibrating, and will calibrating it fix the horizon problem. I’d like to reset to factory settings but I can’t find a way to do that, and I don’t know what the original settings were. BTW, it’s been upgraded to the latest firmware as of last week.
