Eagle of Canada made hundreds of thousands of these games, and the games were tough as nails. I got the model shown here in 1959 at age 12 and I still have it. It works great. This model used a marble for a puck and the game was and still is lightning fast. This game and Eagle's rod-hockey game can be found on eBay in good condition. New replacement knobs and springs are also available on eBay. Check it out
I had a pool table made by Eagle.
I had this exact same game when I was a youngster. I remember the the "players" in the game had the uniforms of the Leafs and Canadiens.
Doug Harvey, Sr. was pretty clever. You'll notice that the game is tilted towards his end and the ball rolls to his side of the red line.
It was typical of Harvey, who always wanted the puck in his own zone to lead the Habs' breakouts.
I have a similar game copyrighted in 1956 and like this one the men do not kove up and down the ice along slots. They simply rotate as this one does.
Must've been NHL-licensed. I mean, it has all of the O6 team logos (the O6 were the only 6 until 1967).
The best game ever invented. EVER, as far as I'm concerned. Damn, I wish I still had the one my brothers and I had countless hours of fun playing when we were kids. Even into our teenage years.
its swell!!
It’s amazing how many things were described as swell back then, before more descriptive wordswere invented.

Rob Ford wasn;t born yet in this video
5 dollars was a lot of money back then...
