    The thing about League is it's not just about mastering your champion of choice, but knowing and countering the enemy champion as well. That's why League is kinda bad for new players right now. So many champions to know, but people's attention span is getting shorter each year. I remember saying a long time ago that I prefer playing League over Dota because it's much easier.

    • @sqoo5
      @sqoo5 Месяц назад +24

      I have played for 10 months and the first 3 only did draft/quickplay, but what helped the most is playing aram. Forces you to learn champs at the very least, which is great for new players.

    • @zegtronic
      @zegtronic Месяц назад +13

      league counters mean much less than dota counters. In league, you can spam your champ and get to plat easily. But in dota if you are spamming a champ, you will hard lose

    • @superbit415
      @superbit415 Месяц назад +8

      It's this kind of mindset that makes league so hard for new players. You don't need to know any enemy champions. You just need to know yours and learn to CS. All that other nonsense comes much much later.

    • @kf532
      @kf532 Месяц назад +11

      @@superbit415 I mean Ludwig got into a good amount of disadvantaged situations by not knowing champs. I don't watch every stream but at one point he walked away from an anivia egg and got tilted via not knowing the passive. You don't need to know every detail of every character but you need to know most of them up to a point or you get knowledge checked every game.

    • @hibrandonhi
      @hibrandonhi Месяц назад

      @@superbit415 Yes and no, basic fundamentals like farming, recalls, wave management etc. do come first, but you can't cs or utilize proper wave management if you don't know what the champ across from you does or you will just get killed trying to last hit or shove a wave if your opponent has any level of kill threat.
      Farming against a seraphine jhin lane is very different from farming against a kaisa naut, and that's the rub for new players. They just don't know that getting hit with a jihn w after getting hit with a sera q means they are about to lose all their health to chain cc and burst even from a relatively far distance, so they aren't preemptively dodging it to make sure they don't get chunked out or even die from it.
      A new support is just going to go in when they can, not understanding that nilah can dodge leona stun after the root hits and then her and pyke dive and kill the adc for it since leona has no more cc to peal.
      You can't lane against champs you don't understand, cuz they will be avoiding your winning trade patterns and you won't know what to avoid from them.
      League (and most mobas in general) are almost more so knowledge checks than they are skill games early on. Skill matters obviously, but you only get to use skill when you pass all the knowledge checks of a given encounter, or you just end up misplaying without knowing it and dead or chunked before you can even play the fight

      the thing is its still a huge coinflip to rely on your teammates to carry, like soraka yuumi wont do shit if no one on your team is competent enough. mage supports in low elo is the way to go, you’ll be the backup carry
      i got from low bronze to gold within a month and ~45 games playing lux morgana last year before emerald was added, it was just straight chilling. dont even need to steal cs if you at least secure kills or get tons of assists and do a lot of damage in lane and create pressure. gold then is plat now so it will doable if he plays something like brand xerath since their poke is very oppressive, theres a reason why mages have the highest winrate in support role in bronze

    Lud needs to go to toplane, not because he is better at it, but because there is nothing to hide behind. Top teaches you to 1v1, it teaches you wave states, it teaches you to discern when to play aggressive and when not taking a fight is the winning move. You get way more quality reps for these in top than in any other lane.

    • @Archtew
      @Archtew Месяц назад

But I like look on occasions at where my jungle is and how the state of mid is. i dont even look at bot tbh cuz the lane is to far away. But maybe try when you pushed the wave under tower or your laner is absent. Have a little look how your team is positioned. If you jungler is in top jungle see if you can go fo herald, or if enemy mid has pushed in under tower see if you can go for a gank.

  • @jakubfulka4714
    @jakubfulka4714 Месяц назад +7

    I hope you find this comment, basically the key to league is simple, you just need to do one thing at a time, forexample just Focus on fast clear over and over, since you get good at that, then focus on camp respawns and timers, after that you can try to do that and sometimes look at minimap, on the position of champs, if your team mates are moving forward in lane it means they are pushing the wawe unless a dive or a counter gank you cant really help, also you can check which champs you have where, if you have champs with a lot of cc its easy to gank them, they will setup for you, if you have literally no cc on any lane, you just power farm, and sometimes try fiddle ult gank.
    There is no way, you see this, but I could do some really simple coaching for you, you dont need anything too complicated, if you are in low elo still.

    • @hibrandonhi
      @hibrandonhi Месяц назад

      So true, yet so hard to see from a new players perspective. You start off with failing every skillset which means you are basically solo losing games, but if you just take it one skill at a time, you eventually trim it down, 98 out of 100 mistakes, 92 out of 100, 70 out of 100, and that's where you can actually start seeing a difference and start winning games that line up where those skills mattered more than the others. It's brutal, one of the harshest games out there to learn, but my god it is satisfying when you actually start improving and seeing tangible results.

  • @kaloyandichev
    @kaloyandichev Месяц назад +15

    The way to climb to Plat is to pick 1-2 hard carry champs and play only them for enough time. When you become semi-decent on one, you’ll likely win almost every game. But playing Amumu/Fiddle assumes your team will carry you which is throwing a coin in the air with slightly favorable odds if you play good (another coin flip when you’re new).

    If Ludwig would just take the time to actually fkin read his abilities, do some arams to play and learn what other champs do and stop hard tilting after one miss play he would hit plat easily.
    Seriously hes got the skills but hes approaching this climb the worst way possible by banging his head against a brick wall and hoping something changes

    I think Ludwig can do it but he's making the mistake of trying to learn too much at once, especially with maining JG, JG takes so much game sense and it's honestly better for him to start off with getting good at laning before he moves onto JG, same with top lane because it's so matchup heavy and if you don't know the matchups it can get really tilting really fast, mid lane in my opinion is the most forgiving to learn.
