Johnny D, I fell 30 ft down an escalator backwards and lived to tell about it. I'm 72, and God is great. He also cured a blockage in my heart when the Dr's thought I would need a Stent or bypass. When they did the angiogram they didn't see a blockage. Prayers work, and Jesus my Savior is great. Bless Stone, Godwin, Johnny D., and Si. Amen.

Well my faith is at a all time low. My mom passed away in 2019 and then my younger sister passed away suddenly and it crushed me. I tell people I'm doing fine but I'm not. I'd like to thank you boys for giving me a reading from the bible and sometimes it gets me thinking. I've almost gave up a couple times but I'm still here. God bless you guys for sharing the good in life with all of us.

Stone-I just rewatched the Duck Dynasty episode where Mia was having her 5th surgery. Your transformation is amazing. If it hadn’t been for you saying your name, I would not have recognized you. Short hair, short beard looks great.

I am an agnostic/atheist (more so just unreligious in general, dont like the labels) but have been a fan of duck dynasty for years, and I still respect the message you guys are putting out into the world, 100% going to go see the movie.
As a past alcoholic this movie changed my life. And turned me from an alcoholic to sober

About backing into spaces. Especially in trucks. Many if not most major companies require their employees to back into parking spaces. Studies have found that backing into a parking space is safe, and cuts down on parking lot accidents. I do it all the time.

Had a neighbor years ago that was from Colorado. She and her husband lived in Texas for several years and decided they wanted to move back home to Colorado. Nope. They both nearly died from lung sickness because you can come down to sea level, no problem. It's when you return to high altitude, that's when the problems hit. They lived out their years in Texas, said they couldn't breathe up there anymore.
Best movie. So deep and moving truly glorify’s the Lord. AWESOME
Backing in parking space etiquette should be that if there is a LINE forming, do not back in 😅 is one of my biggest pet peeves…especially at church 😂😂😂

I love finding good parking spots when I’be been on my feet all day. That’s a blessing! Independence Day is always celebrated and a time to remember all the people who helped gain our Independence!
I took my normally fearless husband up the “million dollar highway” WAY up in the mountains between Durango and Ouray Colorado several years ago. I had been on the road with my parents at least a couple of times when I was little, but Ian was experiencing the Rockies for the first time. Now from what I hear it’s not as crazy as Pikes Peak, but its 25 mph with hairpin curves and the occasional RV coming from the other direction. My husband was driving but he pulled over at the first chance he got and told me I had to drive. He looked straight down at the car floor most of the rest of the trip. As we were coming down into Silverton the views were gorgeous and I asked him to take a picture…he kept his head down, rolled down the window, stuck the camera out the window as far as he could and shot. They actually weren’t bad 😂. When we finally got back to the main interstate he grabbed the map (this was in the olden days, lol) and wrote HERE BE DRAGONS in huge red marker over the route (nod to The Hobbit there) and he has never let me choose the route through the Rocky Mountains again!
My wife recounted the exact same vacationing story about her parents. I read your comment aloud and we had a good laugh. I can't believe there is more than one Tolkien loving, map defacing, Dragon noting acrophobic traversing the country.

They’re the Rocky Mountains! You’ll see high desert types of land. The air is thinner and it takes about 3 months to adapt to thinner air.
I loved the Rocky Mountain State Park also loved Denver, Boulder & Colorado Springs. Never lived out there but my aunts did. I was amazed by how huge those mountains where. Being from the tallest point of south East Kentucky in a small coal mining mountain called Big Black here in Harlan Kentucky and these mountains don’t come close.
I’m with you Si I couldn’t breathe up there.

I drove charter buses in Colorado for a short time and drove through Divide almost every week going up to Cripple Creek. Those roads are fun in a 50 passenger bus!! Creed is a great little town too!

Johnny D, I have a son and DIL who live in Divide at 9000 ft, and another son and DIL outside of Colorado Springs, about same altitude. Yeah, my Apple Watch gives me exercise credit just for climbing stairs

I drove a motor home through rocky mtn national park and stopped at a lookout at 11400 ft!!!
I moved to CA from Idaho them back & I didn't have any problems with breathing however, it was harder for me to run at sea level than it was to run in higher elevations... I have always been an anomaly.

This flatlander loves Pike's Peak, especially the PPIC and practice plus surrounding hubbub, the cogway up and back, but above 9k feet I get altitude sickness. The medicine you start a few days before ascending is a game changer in the best possible way.
That is not Si, no ice tea visible, must be imposter.

For the email that was sent in about backing in to the parking space, it’s much easier to back a big truck into a space than it is to pull it in. I drive a GMC 2500HD, and it’s so much easier to back into a space.
I worked for a company that it was policy to back in for safety reasons. particularly to keep you from backing into someone while leaving. You have a better field of vision going forward

I've watched/heard Phil & Miss Kay for many years now & those actors didn't sound a bit like them to me. If you drive a larger truck it's actually easier to back in. Side benefit it's easier to leave as well, easier to see traffic coming, so less fender-benders.

the reason some back in parking spots, is because the safety department teaches them at work that is the safest to do.
Backing into a parking space gives you a faster exit if need be esp in case of emergency

I prefer to back in bc it is easier to pull out when it is busy and I can see if anyone is coming. I will always back in when I have our truck bc parking spots are not big enough and the bed will hang out if I pull in
To be fair, women are usually targeted when they park in the back of the lot so we try to get closer to other cars. Also, as a mom, I try to park next to the cart return so I don’t have to stress about my toddler in the car, etc.
