  • Jase is in the hot seat with his buddies and his wife after giving some well-intentioned but unwise advice. Amazingly, Jesus gave the same advice in Luke 7, but with much better results. Phil and Al are impressed by the actress playing Miss Kay in "The Blind" and a particular trait she managed to capture in her performance. Jase is excited that Dallas Jenkins, creator of "The Chosen," might actually take his advice on a future movie project! The guys explore the significance of all the resurrection miracles that take place in Luke, the Gospels, and the Old Testament.
    In this episode: Luke 7; Acts 10; Mark 15, verse 39; Luke 9, verse 22

    Al is very skilled at listening. He has genuine reactions to what others say. Especially when Jase tells stories. Thus, their interactions are entertaining. It’s also a good thing, because I don’t know many people who are good listeners. Jase’s humor usually challenges people to think. You have to be smart to understand it. I like that. Zach seems to be sincere & genuine. Phil is cool because he’s down to earth, & just being himself everyday. ( I sometimes think that I should’ve written down his eutoffee, or jambalaya recipe. ) You all are very intelligent, wise, & have a good sense of humor. I’ve gained more knowledge of different people in the Bible, by watching this podcast everyday that it airs. Thank y’all so much for sharing this Bible study. God bless!!

    Somethings really interesting happened the day this came out. I had just had a conversation with a guy who believes that what is written in the Bible is ALL that God has ever said or will ever say.
    I was trying to help him understand that God is WAY bigger than what can fit into one earthly book and had used what John said at the end of His testimony book about Jesus.
    When I got back into my car, I continued listening to this episode and only seconds into it, Al quoted the scripture from John that says,
    "And there are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they were written in detail, I suppose that even the world itself would not contain the books that would be written."
    Fascinating!

    When we talk about how Jesus was moved for the widow, perhaps He was moved by the image of His own mother, a widow, losing her son, will look like and feel like for Mary as He knew His time was also approaching. Thus, assigning John from the cross and endearing them, KNOWING His mother will ALSO see her son raised from the dead.... oh my goodness what a beautiful mirror.

He loves you, He understands. And someday, if you have believed and have asked Jesus for forgiveness and are following Him, you WILL see her again! We serve a powerful God! 💔🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💥

  • @JWdouloo

    Jase, I did a message on "Jesus Wept" recently, somewhat unorthodox to popular understanding. I do not dispute Jesus's humanity or his love for mankind but I was focusing deeper into the "why" Jesus wept. I also used Matthew 5:4 and focused on "mourn" what? The point God lead me to; Jesus knew his earthly ministry was coming to an end and "wept" for mankind as a whole, he "mourned" for the lost. We can see His love and mourning also in his prayer for His disciples. Just a different viewpoint, I thought would be of interest.

    You can't really say Jesus only raised 3 people from the dead. We don't know that, do we. That's just how many were recorded. The bible says he did so many more miracles that weren't recorded.

    When Abraham tricked Pharaoh in Egypt with Sarah and got found out, why didn't Abraham give everything back that the Pharaoh gave him? Instead he took it, though trickery and was a rich man.

    • @petergiger4190
      @petergiger4190 Год назад

      I've thought about that too. But I look at it that Pharaohs are what they are because of trickery and magic. The devil's in the details there sure enough although I have to admit to scruples over the reaction of the Faithful. Worth a prayer for enlightenment.

    I think people who cry a lot are simply poor communicators. We have a CONSCIENCE that should be used to mitigate our feelings. You can't share your feelings. They're very personal and it's delusional to believe anyone can understand your feelings without verbal explanation. We're not dumb animals. Prayer meditation and thought before speaking should be the extent of sharing any feelings. Crying wouldn't cut it with me. I look at feelings as a blank canvas. We need words to paint the picture so our neighbor can understand.
