@@Hello-sv5fz early 90's it was not commercialized like it is now. Most all were sold in Louisiana only. Now that they are sending millions of dollars of crawfish up north it has driven the price up.
In 1975 I worked for my uncle crawfishing. They were .25¢/lb and it was hard to get rid of them. We would let people come crawfish for half. If you caught 20lbs. You kept 10 and we kept 10. On a weekend we would have 30-40 people crawfishing. Those were the good ole days.
I’m thinking what was meant by - he that is least in the kingdom of heaven will be greater than John The Baptist. His meaning may have meant “worldly” John The Baptist and not “heavenly” John The Baptist.

Crawfish are so good when made with zucchini squash. I make what I call stuffed crawfish zucchini boats. Good with Shrimp also.
