Thank you so much, Armando! Same goes to you! 🥳 Hope you're able to bust out Trickerion and give it a go this year! You'll have to let me know what you think! 🪄
Year review in under 30min! Nice edit on this video; I like the camera memory gag and Mythwind tip- I hope your save didn't get ruined. Speaking of Mythwind, I should be getting my second print edition soon. A lot of your top games are ones I'm waiting to get fulfilled, which is a good sign.
Thanks for the comment, Joe! I'm always worried that my videos are too long or verbose so it's nice to hear you say that I kept it fairly concise! And thank you for noticing some of the extra editing flair I added to this video! I spent more time editing this one than some of my other recent videos and I wasn't sure if anyone would notice so I especially appreciate you saying something! ☺️ I'm excited for you to get your second edition of Mythwind; I hope you have so much fun with it! (I haven't looked inside the box to see the damage yet-I'm a little scared to!) Glad we have such similar taste in games and I'm sure you're in for a treat if you backed any of the games I mentioned in this video!
Bahaha that is THE look of fear right there. Glad you had a fun time but oh so sorry for keeping you up at all hours to get through the Mythwind seasons. Thanks for including us on your list!
Oh my goodness... that was pure, unfiltered panic for a moment! 😱 But what can you do besides laugh it off, right? 😭 And don't apologize-I was having a blast! I posted an Instagram story back in March about how I played Mythwind literally non-stop from 8:30pm to 2:00am one night... I mean, talk about being obsessed with a game! Thank you for providing me with such an immersive and rewarding experience! It's a game I'm always happy to suggest to people who are looking for a relaxing, co-operative, cozy kind of game! 👩🏼🌾
I have enjoyed your videos. Recently subscribed to your channel. Got Everdell for xmas to play solo. Need recommendation for a game to play with one other person on a long plane trip.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, Becky! And I'm glad you got Everdell-that's such a great game! (My wife and I actually just played Everdell Duo for the first time tonight!) ☺️ Board games on a plane is a hard thing to pull off gracefully... trust me, I know from experience! But some really small games like Hive Pocket or Sea Salt & Paper would probably work! There are also some good board game apps you can play with two players although I know it's not the same!
Ooo, Septima seems really cool but I haven't had a chance to try it yet! What did you think? 🧙🏻♀️ And I've heard great things about the Pandemic legacy games but I've only ever played the regular version! How long did it take you to get through the season?
Great year in review Dave. We bought and learned Strike late in the year. Such a simple fun game that's easy to get to the table. Some great games on your lists. It's great connecting with you on BGA this past year.
Thanks, Ian! Strike is so much fun, right? It's been a hit every time I've taught it! 🎲 It has been fun playing games on BGA lately-thanks for the invites! Hope you have a fantastic 2025! 🥳
Looks like a great year. Galactic Cruise looks really cool. Will have to look into it more. Carcassonne has been by far our most played game. Prior to 2024, my wife and I only did the base game, which got a little boring. But we have started to work our way through the expansions and have really had a fun time with it. After that, my most played were: 2. Dice Miner 3. Cthulhu DMD 4. Cascadero 5. Arboretum
Galactic Cruise is seriously amazing, Oney! Definitely one you'll have to check out! 🚀 And Carcassonne, wow! Love that you're playing such a classic-expansions can definitely refresh even the oldest games! (See Dominion, for example!) Believe it or not, I haven't played any of the other four in your most-played list! Although I'd be happy to play any of them! ☺️
@ I think you should seek out Cascadero. It’s been my favorite new game of the year. It seems a little hit or miss, but it’s got a lot of good stuff going on, especially when all players know what they’re doing. Also an incredibly low set up time.
Cascadero looks SO good... I love Ian O'Toole's artwork! (As you already know from me talking about Galactic Cruise, probably!) 🚀 I just added it to my want-to-play list on BGG... now I just have to find someone who owns the game! 😅 Thanks for the suggestion, Oney!
Do you have any tips for logging your plays? :) My fiance is also my main gaming partner and we(she, so we) really love Stone age. :) I plan to introduce Patchwork and Viticulture sometime soon. First we have a wedding coming up and then my main partner in gaming will be my wife. ❤️
My very first tip would be to download the Board Game Stats app (I made a whole video about it here: ruclips.net/video/jdL1TmS8trg/видео.html) and get to logging those plays right away! ☺️ And that's so funny-Stone Age is still my wife's favorite game after years of playing a ton of different board games together! 🛖 (Then Wingspan, then Everdell, I think?) Patchwork is also a favorite of ours and I think Hannah likes Viticulture although we haven't played it in a while! 🍷 Congratulations on the upcoming wedding! I'm so glad you found someone who also enjoys board games-that honestly is such a wonderful thing, as I'm sure you already know!
Nice list dave, I keep seeing you have Great Western Trail on your lists. Have you played the New Zealand version? I prefer that version better, it has a little more deck building that i like a bit better. See you at Level Up.
Great Western Trail is easily in my Top 3 all-time favorite games! 🏜️ But I haven't played either of the sequels yet, no! I've been very intrigued by both of them and I'd love to give them a try but just haven't had the opportunity yet! See you in a few weeks, Adam! 👋🏻
Sounds like a great yr of gaming in '24! Here's to more fun-filled memories in '25!
Thank you so much, Armando! Same goes to you! 🥳 Hope you're able to bust out Trickerion and give it a go this year! You'll have to let me know what you think! 🪄

we started this year off with Septima
and finished season 2 of pandemic in december, nice ride, looking forward to season 2

I can bring New Zealand if your interested at Leve Up.
@@adamjc9167 Yeah? That sounds like fun-we might be able to make that work! 🐑
Well? Did you screw up your save?! lol
