I've been using a Fatboy for about 5 years, its been a great bag. I have the bad habit of carrying too much 💩, even in the Fatboy, it gets heavy. Worried the jumbo will be too much. I need to replace it, busted a prong off front latch...Maxpedition is doing a buy one get one deal right now...probably just get both and see what happens...see myself walking in circles from the extra capacity. Thanks for the side by side 🤜🤛
Not gonna lie, I'm still stuck. My EDC list is: - Two-fold wallet - Moleskin notebook + NTP31 tactical pen & BIC 4-colour pen - Zippo lighter - Amazon Kindle - Nikon D3100 Reflex Camera + 18-55mm lens - Samsung Note S20 Phone - FiiO M7 (MP3 player) + Sony wired earphone plugs (I'd like to use my XM3, tho) - Sunglasses + Reading glasses - Pocket change pouch - Tissues - Leatherman Surge knock-off Sure enough the FatBoy may fit all this but style-wise, I'd prefer something more rigid, like the MegaGear MG1524. I could do with a little bit of counsel, here.
Great Video Brian. Maxpedition used to make a Fat Boy variant with a water bottle holder. They screwed it up and discontinued it. Water is heavier, BUT they used a 1.5" strap instead of the 2" strap on the regular fat boy. The water bottle version was not great in the field they left out the storm collar / rain fly on that version. The water bottle holder was narrower and only fit a smaller water bottle. Maxpedition needs to make that version again with the 2" strap, a storm collar, the top pouch (like on the Jumbo for a tourniquet), a OC pouch, a multi tool pouch a 1' flashlight pouch I would like to consult with them. Also I am finding it harder to find Maxpedition items in OD Green. I switch off between my Fat Boy and My Jumbo as needed.
Nice review. Maxpedition has these “buy one, get one free” right now. Your video helped me decide to get one of the Fat Boy’s. Thanks.
Thanks bud!
I often struggle to determine if should carry my glock or a blt… it is nice to have the option for both
👍🏻👍🏻

Thanks Brian, you respond very fast !!! The video quality is awesome. Definitely in my case I'm going to get Fatboy.
Thank you so much for the comparison!

I just watched a Maxpedition video comparing 2 versions of the Fatboy. The DTG and it has 16oz water bottle pocket on one side.
👍🏻
My friend, thank you very much. You helped me choose the best one for my daily use. I'm going for the Fatboy.
👍🏻👍🏻
Great comparison video. Thanks.
Thank you👍🏻
The water is the important consideration.
Do you own a vacuum sealer then? I’m considering getting one for supplies for my kits
I do. Lol, but it’s an old one we got when we got married - 10yrs ago. But still works fine
What is the color of the Jumbo called please?
Khaki I believe
Just wish that the fat boy had a water bottle pouch on the side like the jumbo dose !!!!!!!
👍🏻
