Hello, welcome to my new youtube channel. I am excited to have you on this journey with me. It is my goal to help you learn basice truck repairs so you can keep your truck in good operating condition.
We will get things started with a detailed video on changing a fuel filter....enjoy!!!
For great fuel discounts with no fuel card required, watch this video! ruclips.net/video/LjB5Y60p1qI/видео.html
Great job. I worked for Davco for 10 years. First generation of this unit was a 380 that the bottom party was much bigger, the 382 was introduced about 2 years before I left. A wives tale that fuel will by pass the filter is WRONG. You could run that filter till the engine will shut down. Always change the filter just when the fuel just gets to the top. Nothing on the market than match the Davco!
I take it your name is Adam? Good job for 1st video. Good picture quality, looks like a GoPro if it is you can change camera settings on your smart phone to get rid of the fish eye and fill the monitor screen all the way unless you already have your settings the way you like it. Very clear picture and good job on your filter change.
Thank you so much, yes my name is Adam. I am using a GoPro. I am pretty averse to all this technology, it is very much a learning process. I will work on your suggestions. I've never done anything like making a video before...I cant tell you how much I appreciate your comment. You were a main influence in me doing this.
First 2 minutes solved my problem
Great video,thanks
Valuable PM info, this could save someone thousands, with injectors being on average 1k a pop. We have the DS60 in our Prevost
Thanks Adam - your videos are the best
Everyone struggles with putting a bucket under the fuel processor’s drain valve . Install a long plastic air line on the drain valve , 1/2”NPT . Clean with ether , apply Vasoline to fuel bowl collar threads, hand tight plus 3 collar marks .
Best video up til now, well explained
Glad you think so!
Very helpful! Thank you

Gotta be honest, I saw your original comment and it hurt pretty bad... but God bless you anyway and I'm not going to block people for bad comments and I forgive you!
I'm not perfect, but I am only trying to help people. Thanks for the comments, hope someday I make one that helps improve your life.
Hi, I ran out of fuel and lost the prime any recommendations on how to prime it? Same motor
Adam, how often do you change the fuel filter?
As needed, when the level is about 3/4 up the filter. Mine usually last about 15,000 miles
Hey diy, I'm looking at a truck to buy but i cant seem to find the clear fuel filter case you changed here, I read semis have 2 fuel filters but I can't find the clear case filter, is that normal or should I stay away from that truck?
Not all trucks have one....but they should
@@DIYSEMI oh ok, the truck is a 99 freightliner classic 12.7, seen on RUclips with them so it should have them, would it be a good idea to buy truck and install it after or is that do damage to engine?
You can definitely add it on
@@DIYSEMI cool thanks for replying 👍
What if after a couple days all the fuel disappears from the filter, what does that mean?
it's still there..the level just goes down because the filter is new and clean...it will rise as it plugs from the bottom up
I've drained about half a gallon of fuel, but the tank is still full. Why?
the level should go down as you drain
Remove the fuel bowl fill cap .
How do I no if its water in there
Drain it in a cup. Will look like globs separated from the fuel
