Listening to Cody Wilson speak his mind is probably the one reason I'd go and see this doc. I hear he attended the NYC screening to do Q&A afterwards...
There are no limits to my natural rights, including my natural right to keep and bear arms. None whatsoever, and no individual has the right to force upon me or anyone else their will or what they believe is right. No individual has this right because no individual granted me this right, so they cannot take it away from me. I was born with this inalienable right to self defense, using whatever tools I see fit, from whatever force would seek to exert control over me or my loved ones. No moral credit is given to anyone who restricts the rights of others, especially using the government as their middle man to get it done, because there is no morality in doing such a thing. There is only self-righteous bullying laziness. As long as I cause no harm to another individual with my firearms, no individual or entity can regulate, restrict or take from me my right to keep and bear them.
Well said. Sadly, _98% of Americans comply with a plethora of unConstitutional "laws"_ that have been on the books for more than 2 generations. The acclamation of the citizenry toward tyranny is just about complete. *UPSIDE: **_it only took a tiny percentage of the colonists win against Britain!_*
@devwreck127, I would say that there are limits to our rights. Our rights end where they interfere with another person's rights. I have the right to eat, but I do not have the right to take food from you. I would say that I do have the right to life and implied or inferred in that right to life is also the right to defend my life. This traditionally has been called the 2nd Natural Right. However, I would agree with you in that there are no amount of gun murders and gun massacre's that justify infringing on my right to defend my life with the most useful tool and that is a gun.
All the gun control people in this documentary acted like they knew a lot about guns when they know very little. The artist made a beautiful picture of a m16 assault rifle. The gun shop guy used the wrong terminology when referencing the clip even though it was a magazine. I expected more from him as I believed he should have known better.
Guns in all forms are 100% completely useless - paper weights in fact - without ammunition. The problem isn't that guns are being sold. Gun dealers can sell all they want and consumers can buy all they like. What should be regulated is the ammo for those guns. I would think lawful gun owners wouldn't mind a law that separates them from those that have stolen guns and walk into a big box store and by ammo off the shelf without any questions asked.
jb76489 Trust me I'm well aware of reloading ammunition. However people don't make their own gun powder or primers. Its isn't very hard to regulate reloading supplies. I have nothing against guns. A problem I do have is watching a bunch of pro gun advocates impede gun laws that would separate responsible gun owners from hard cold criminals.
And by having a special "Ammo ID" card the gun owner is then singled out as the "other" in our society. If someone has this "Ammo ID" card wouldn't make it that much easier for the Government to know who has firearms, what kind of firearms the person has, and how much and what kind of ammunition they use. This would be just another means of a backdoor firearms registration. And the only point of present day registration is future confiscation. We all know that the Government would in no way abuse that information in the future. ;)
***** I believe you to be a decent person. You could have resorted to name calling or back handed retorts, but you didn't. You simply said what's on your mind because that is what you believe. I respect that. The problem is decent people such as yourself are often victimized by opportunists and morally vanquished jackals. its getting to the point where even going out to a burger joint or pulling into your own driveway is dangerous. There just must be a better way than what is in place now. Because the way things are now is making it possible for decent people to die and criminals to get away with it.

If you want 'em, COME AND TAKE 'EM!
outlaw guns and we'll just become outlaw's
God gives me the right to have a gun, hunt and fish, not the little bull crap government.
If the Bad Religion song of the same name isn't featured in this documentary then you've literally just thrown away money.

Except people can and do hand load ammunition

moofushu Nor do people make their own drugs but damned if they still don't get high
