I'm sorry, but that makes no sense. By the time of order 66, the Jedi almost had it figured out several times, and all because Dooku told them. I think Lucas intended this as a betrayal of Sidious on Dooku's part.
Why is lying a Dark Side trait but not when the Jedi do it? I suppose Dooku had to tell Obi-Wan the truth “from a certain point of view” to make Kenobi believe him 🤔🤷🏾♂️🙃
@@aztn19 I think it’s more the intent, as in Sith would deceive for their own goals whereas a Jedi wouldn’t. Perhaps after the purge, Obi Wan realised to some extent that the old ways didn’t work and a bit of omission of truth wouldn’t hurt…
Pretty much. They literally found out that Dooku had a hand in the creation of the clones and what did they do? Not disclosing anything and kept the war going. Like how much of an idiot you must be to do that? They know the war is a sham but they do it anyway. I still dont understand the logic behind it
And this is why the jedi fell!!! They should've listened!!! Sedious is smart he had dooku tell them the truth to throw them off ....my boy was playing the art of war heavy!!! The truth was right in front of the jedi faces and they didn't believe it!!!!
Doesn’t make any sense that Palpatine instructed Dooku to tell the Jedi about Sidious, considering the fact that the only Jedi he told was going to be executed. This means that no one would’ve found out. I believe that the way Lucas intended it was that Dooku had great respect for Obi-wan (considering qui-gon etc.) and was giving him a chance to join Dooku to overthrow Palpatine as well as have an ideal political partner.
The main reason was to see if he could turn obi wan. If he could he would have a spy in the jedi order. If he refused there was no harm since the jedi were arrogant
I hated that Tales of the Jedi made Dooku already aware of the Sith being around long before the events of the Phantom Menace. Why didn't he help Qui-Gon when he announced to the Jedi council that he fought a Sith lord on Tatooine? Why wait 10 years to warn the Jedi about Darth Sidious? What's worse is that the show tells us that Dooku had already joined the Sith even before Qui-Gon was killed and that he's already creating a clone army when he erased Kamino from the Jedi archives. When Yaddle saw Dooku and Sidious together, instead of going back to the Jedi council to warn them about who the Sith are, Yaddle decides to get herself killed by Dooku. From now on, I'm blaming both Dooku and Yaddle for the Jedi's demise because their silence got them all killed.
You lost me at "Legends". Palpatine toyed with the entire Jedi order before going in for the kill, like a cat and mice game. He folded them up like money from a stripper's tip jar. Simple As that.
Wait so did dooku knew that darth Sidious was palp? Cuz how did he know that darth Sidious was control of the senate and close to the Jedi council/senate
Palps playing 3D chess while the Jedi were struggling with checkers

The Jedi was absolute victims of their own hubris.

Hybris usually is one's own downfall. Palpatine didn't destroy the Jedi. The Jedi did that to themselves.
The best place to hide is in plain sight 😮
Kenobi is a Dooku's Jedi apprentice apprentice
Your arrogance blinds you master Yoda
Well technically they didn't just dismiss it,they did decide to keep an eye on the Senate
Imagine getting played this hard. 💀
He did it because it's a movie and we already knew it since it was prequels we all knew who Palpatine is
Bro can't comprehend lore
Why? Well, the only response was the response he gave in his current predicament. It's the only logical one anyway.
I blame Yoda. It was ultimately his own arrogance that led to their Downfall
Their arrogance blinded them big time. Sidious and Dooku said nothing wrong.
And he made them all look like dumbasses

Who was older? Dooku or Palpatine.
Dooku

Yes, he knew
So he did not want to kill Obi-wan?
