This entire song from start to finish is his life story. It's a constant call and answer from two vastly opposing sides of one broken man.
Can you imagine the honor of being able to play this piece!? I would die!!! Ughhh, it would be such an honor to play my oboe for this composition!!
Hey that's my instrument too!
@@yehuditstauber1305 MIne is the clarinet... damn it.
I loved the lighting emphasis on the organ player during the solo
I was lucky enough to be at this performance and man… the atmosphere when only the organ was lit up was insane.
The choir made the already epic 16-bit masterpiece soundtrack even more epic! Truly amazing!
Reason why FFVI must have a remake
It would be so fucking insane if they remake FFVI
Or at least an animated series. Someone needs to pull the concept art and turn it in to the animated masterpiece we've all been waiting for.
@@michaelrobosa146 hell yes
Not if Nomura is involved
An actual remake, not whatever the hell they did to 7.
Was there, amazing on a whole other level.
@@sarcastickz6885 If u can get yourself a ticket, just go!
Holy shit this is so next level, must have been incredible to watch it live!
The audience participation in One Winged Angel was pretty amazing as well!
It might be from a video game, but this has got to be one of the best pieces of composition ever created.
> might be from a video game
Uematsu has been making masterpieces for 30 years. Don't discount video game music composition; it's some of the most technical and amazing music there is BECAUSE it has to fit the atmosphere and situation in which it appears in the video game.
Well, video games music are way better than popular music nowadays
@@pedroaraujo9195 Exactly!
FF6 is such a cultural artifact and here it is brought to a whole new level by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra
This game needs a remake!! Pronto. Wonder why not. Tis the best FF game and story ever.
Can’t wait, they’re gonna perform this in Chicago next year! :) already got my tickets
Saw it in Seattle this month, so damn great.
I first played this like 20 years ago and still hoping for a remake 🙏
me too 😂
This must have been so complicated for them to play as this is a kinda fast-moving piece but Arnie Roth and his orchestra completely knocked Dancing Mad out of the park!!
10:37 the last part of the song always gives me goosebumps!!! what an amazing orchestra
I was there for this. Had goose bumps from start to finish!
still salty that i never had the opportunity to watch dancing mad live... I went to the coral 35th annniversary version and sadly it wasn't there! I hope it will be back in a future concert again!
the best of Dancing Mad!!
迫力があってよき👏👏
生で聴きたいな…
It's impossible to match the power of a pipe organ. He did such an outstanding job it almost made the orchestra seem irrelevant! Same with the London 2014 performance! Glad they did better sound balancing over 5 years.
i really want to experience this song live one day
I don't even love FFVI that much but goddamn this song is a masterpiece
Woah absolutely amazing..
Tina to everyone: Don't worry guys, all our levels are cranked up to 99 with 9999 HP so nothing bad can happen. We can tank this battle to the end!
Kefka: Oh dear, 9999 HP, what am I to do? *casts Fallen One*
Cheapest spell ever.
Don't remember the spells well. Is that the one that puts everyone at 1 maybe?
wasnt it heartless angel?
@@Rageouz Sephi uses that one
@@ScorpionC1 I found out that fallen one and heartless angel are the samething but sephiroth just used it as well, another thing that he copied from kefka
@@Rageouz it honestly seems like both of their plots are pretty much the same.
Destroy the world, become a god, and recreate the world in their image.
Difference is, Kefka loses interest in recreating it when you manage to actually hurt him during the final battle, and plans to annihilate everything should you lose.
Personally, Kefka is the far superior villain.
Enjoyed every second of this. Thank you very much!
Shame this wasn't played at Distant Worlds Melbourne >:(
If I remember correctly, before playing this track, the conductor said that Royal Albert Hall is one of the few places they can play it because of the huge pipe organ they've got there. I don't know if the venue in Melbourne had anything similar but maybe that was why.
I was disappointed when this wasn’t part of the set list when they came to Durham, NC. However, in thinking about it, I don’t think the venue was outfitted with a pipe organ. They can’t play what they don’t have the equipment for…
@@lmj2k Yeah, I've heard the versions without the organ... and it's just not the same without it.
Uematsu really did compose the greatest song of all time, huh?
9:30
Press 1.25 speed on part 4, it sounds as it should be (except the slow part) :)
Ustedes me crearon!!! 👏👏👏👏🤡
FF6 is the second best of the FF series. FF10 is the best but the MOST incredible song is Dancing Mad.
FF6 is in IMO the best all around game in the series and is the top rated and most acclaimed game in the series. Only FF4 comes close IMO.
6 > 5 > 4 > the rest in any order
Sephiroth would like to know your location.
@@FireLordJohn3191 LOL i love ya talking about ff7!!
Nah, FFX is bellow IV and V. VI, then VII/IX, then IV/V and then X.
1.25 speed was better for me
