Today, the recently announced company Bugatti Rimac starts operating. This new company sees the unique combination of two automotive and technological trailblazers. I remember watching the Grand tour video when Hammond crashed a concept one. For most companies, that would end it. Not Rimac though. Their vehicle safety was on another level. Now here they are combining with Bugatti!

Mate Rimac is a positive leader, a true self mad man. Elon (a banker at heart) pranches Tesla's name around selling batteries and satellites when Tesla's inventions that were sabotaged by another banker, would have rendered batteries and satellites reducdant. The irony is baffling.

The issue they have is that they dont see a path to adapt Bugatti into the modern world of electric cars - selling the company to someone who makes the fastest accelerating car in the world seems like a match made in heaven.

For a company with such history(and the ultimate in luxury and performance) as Bugatti and a gigantic company as Porsche/VW to partner with a young brilliant startup as Rimac and have their names together is simply amazing.

This are great news! "As part of the deal, the newly-formed Rimac Group will be the major shareholder with a 55% stake. Mate Rimac will retain his original shareholding in Rimac Group at 37%, with Porsche at 24%, Hyundai Motor Group doing the same at 12% and other investors at 27%. The development, production and supply of battery systems, drivetrains and other EV components that Rimac is known for and trusted by many automotive manufacturers will be separated into a new entity - Rimac Technology, which will be 100% owned by the Rimac Group. Rimac Technology will remain an independent company working with many global car manufacturers."
That was their plan all along and they did well with their demonstration technology electric power for super cars not us working class lowly plebs lol Bugatti had to go this way with the world on this no fossil fuels bs.

Most impressive thing about Mate are not his achievements as entrepreneur, but how he remained that same simple and humble guy as in the old days when no one knew his name. Many hit these heights but became narcissistic, egocentric and arrogant in the process.

To je odlicno i drago mi je sto nije 100% vlasnik Mate "Rimac automobili" jer bi mu drzava sve uzela kao sto je uzela i unistila Pevec i Agrokor firme. Tu se boje jer su stranci umjesani.Toliko o postenju nase politike.

Tesla is just a gadget that happens to look like car. The world is going electric but I would prefer a Prosche Taycan over any Tesla any day. Because VAG has proven to be "Vorsprung" by deceit. Hopefully VAG will keep their fingers from Porsche, Bugatti and Rimac and hopefully those 3 can break loose from VAG and be free.
There's 2 Porsches, one is the automobile company, and another one is Ferdinand family. The Ferdinand family own all of them.

@@xdm_lm Exactly! I think their plan is simply to provide them a shortcut to be a meaningful player in an arena that Rimac had outplayed them in. Of course, it's a big boost for Rimac in that they get the potential to produce (and sell) in higher volumes than they otherwise would have - just as was the case with Porsche and Bugatti. I'm interested in seeing who owns what percentage of what ten years from now.

Imagine a car with a 0-60mph in 1.0 sec, with a top speed of 375 mph!
Not gonna happen anytime soon. With the amount electric cars bottom out I doubt they’ll reach anywhere near that number for a very long time if not ever.
The limiting factor for acceleration in many of the top ranked accelerating street-legal production cars are the tires. So unless there are some breakthroughs in tire technology, the 0-60 mph times are going to be stuck around 1.9 second 0-60 mph after rollout and around 2.1 seconds starting from a standstill. These acceleration times can be beaten with non street-legal drag tires of course or non-conventional means of acceleration such as rockets/thrusters. I have no idea if the use of cold gas thrusters would be street-legal though.
