To think nearly a year ago , I was looking on RUclips to see how to do a shed base, ( I've not a building bone in my body) now a year on still no shed base, but found a great channel, keep up the great work 👍
Great video , do you have the next video after this .. want to see the full video please upto putting the tiles etc. also if you can specify the height of the roof requirements from the wall ?
Doing well Darren. Your like me forgetting words lol. I go through everyone’s name before I get the right one lol. That’s going to be one big room. Atb mate.
Love your work guys! How do you calculate the height / width of the brickwork for the door opening if you want to install specific doors? On our house built in Greece we had to install mostly custom size doors as none of the standards would fit the openings. Sounds like you had a long day at the end. Regards to the team.
It would help you a lot if you have already chosen the doors/windows that you would like installed, taking in to account the linings/casings too if they're not prefabricated. When you have the dimensions for your doors and windows you use a simple bit of maths to ascertain their areas. Width multiplied by length. You can then transfer that information onto your buildings drawing, or mark it out onto your building after your slab has been layed. You could even pay an architect to make a detailed plan for you. Either way, a good drawing with as much information on it is always a good help. Hope that helps 👍👍👍👍
@@deanalexanderhargreaves yep, we had drawings, but interpreted by Greek mastora using cheap labour from Bulgaria.. Total disaster, thankfully we checked the openings before buying the doors and windows.
Not according to manufacturer. Only need to prop if you’re loading with roof/floor before cement cures. You prop to save time by not having to wait but a few courses of brick is fine and does not require propping. You learn something everyday 👍🏾 “Allow the mortar to cure before applying floor or roof loads (Temporary propping beneath a steel lintel is practised to facilitate speed of construction).”
