If I recall correctly fabric rationing was going on in the 1940s, so many wedding dresses in that decade was boxy and used as little fabric as possible. If you want to get the genuine 1940s look, try looking at photographs of weddings in that decade.
The more flowly style with peasant sleeves shown in the video was popular too. Across all cagion not just bridal. Looks similar to some film costumes from that era too. Various other bridal trends during that decade.
I've been watching wedding dresses for quiet a while now, looking for a specific type of dress. 30s is what I've been looking for since foreveeeerrrr. Classic dress, long sleeves, boat neckline. Exactly what my heart has been dreaming of!!! 🥹🥹🥹
The Fourth was my absolute favorite. All of them had a unique cool vibe about them. 💝
