Priceless Manti Utah Temple Murals Restored to their Original Luster

The distinctively beautiful Manti Utah Temple is now rededicated as a house of the Lord after a two-and-a-half-year renovation that included priceless works of art.
Murals, completed by renowned artists of the time, represent different historical settings; the earth’s creation; the Garden of Eden; and the fallen world. they evoke sacred reminders of spiritual progression for Latter-day Saints.
We interviewed the conservators who restored the murals to their original luster, but not without some challenges.

I had no idea that some of the original murals were painted in 1867!
Yet after nearly 160 years, they’re in excellent condition!

Beautiful murals and messages! I got to go to this open house, and was amazed by everything about it...but the murals were one of the things that stood out to me that made it look unique and special...in fact, it didn't just LOOK special, I felt that they were carefully made with love and devotion. you can honestly feel the love that these temple construction workers have in them, along with the people who direct the construction from just looking at their astonishing work! Thank you for sharing the love of our Savior!

I understand very much the importance of these murals.. when i first entered the church and temple it gave me a sense of peace and reassurance..im so happy the temple has these murals back where they belong 🙏✝️
