I just ran across the article on the Daily Mail about you guys! Congratulations you’ve made it big time. Your parents must be so proud. Fair Winds! EDIT: The comments at the Daily Mail (under the article) are some of the worst I’ve ever seen! A whole lot of miserable people who can’t see the dream. Maybe I’m just overly optimistic? But if you want to hear some people who are down on life and seem to be living in hell, take a look at those comment. NOTE TO ZACK AND BECKA - Don’t bother reading those or giving them a thought. You guys are amazing and truly living the dream. Don’t ever let anyone get into your head. You guys are an inspiration.
Not all the comments in the DM are negative, but omg some people are just tiresome...f*#k'em! I'm in my mid 40's Dock sitting in Scotland, you guys a 20yrs ahead of me in every way and it should be the reverse 😂 At the moment I'm still working on the "Just Bloody DO it already". Keep on Keeping On, you're inspiring me to get my sh1t together. Thanks, Col.
The comments say more about the people commenting than anything else. Zack and Becca are living life while people are dreaming it and doing nothing about it!
I am not a cat person ,and on my second pomeranian boat dog 1st one 13 years latest one 15 months ,there is no way i could of left that cat behind, animals on board can be a pain in the arse but 500% worth the effort
Hi guys, im just sitting here in a very cold the Netherlands while you are pondering to adopt your cat in the slightly warm part of our kingdom. Right on que when you were taking her aboard, our cat jumps on the salon table and starts to watch your cat. Yes, our cat watches tv. Our cat is also grey. Also a female, and also from Aruba. And yes she was adopted via a Sgt Pepper Friends. Our Zoë, as she is called, was flown in from Aruba to The Netherlands. And we love her to bits. She loves the summer and has grown quite a bit extra fur for the winter. Moral of the story; your kitty will be okay. You did the right thing. And the world’s cat distribution system will do its job either through God, good luck, karma, faith, or,more likely, via the fine people of Sgt. Pepper Friends. Love those guys. Save travels, have fun, enjoy the world and each other. And whenever you wash ashore somewhere and settle down the world’s cat distribution system will provide you with a kitty of your own.
Oh one remark; when you grow older more cats will find you. You will start to collect them. Happend to my sister. She’s late fifty now. She has 5. Horrible phase in a woman’s life. It’s called “many pawns”
Should have kept damned cat. If she made you that happy. It would probably be a pain in the ass. But you can smuggle a cat anywhere. I hate the Panama canal myself. I'd rather just take the Southern cross. It's just too much shit at the canal. But you could have had someone take it to the other side pick it up on the other side. I think it would did your heart good to keep it. I think you are a wonderful beautiful person. It is kind of awesome that you put your heart out there. You to or really awesome. It's good to see younger people getting out into the sailing world. I'm not waiting till you're old and gray.
Don’t you just love a lady with a heart! Besides her so many other endearing characteristics, Becka has a heart of gold! I think Zach does too. Such a fine couple.
Its fairly easy if you got the right documentation and international passport for the cat, including the rabies vaccine. Some countries just requires you to visit a vet when checkin/checkout. It might be a hassle but follow your heart.
Unfortunately going to Australia and New Zealand is out of the question with a boat pet. The rules and regulations are extremely hard over here and the cost to bring it in is astronomical and very time consuming :(
while your lives aren't such that you could rescue that sweet kitty, someday you will be in a place to rescue a different kitty. put it on the list of consolations for giving up the seafaring life... She was very sweet and cuddlesome.
(Harbors Unknown) took their dog across the pacific but it was for sure an administrative challenge. I also believe that certain countries are indifferent if they never get off the boat. This is pretty easy with a cat.
Last shinning boatwork and spashing and checking checking alarm!! checking😅..lovely cat and saying goodbye😢..some boatlife again off and on beautiful Aruba🎉 and some big adventures😮 ahead🎉😊..bravely forward and sail on today's wind..at least try❤❤
Merry Christmas. Getting to still see you at the regular time and place made my day. After seeing you weep Becka, it was nice to hear your laughter also. Thank you so much for another year of adventure Love you. Full speed ahead. Stay safe. ❤🙏
A very up-lifting video, I hope you have a fantastic holiday season, and may the new year be your best ever. Take care of each other, be safe and cruise on.
Zach I wish u stay still, I'm trying to read what's on ur undies🤣🤣. I totally understand the pain of having to leave animals that are not even yours, but uv looked after her when obviously someone, has left her behind. Cats are great on boats but still, they can create issues in many Countries. Human beings can be incredibly cruel. I'm sorry I said " Take her with u both" it's just what I would do regardless of the issues. But that's not fair on U 2. I'm so so excited to be on the water again, I was feeling like I was starting to dry up and wither away😂🤣. The way u both present in front of Camera is a true credit to ur strong beliefs and work ethic, it really shows ur honest, lovable selves. I know I sound like a broken record, but that u 2s fault for making me so Bloody Proud. Go Teulu Tribe!!!!🌊🌞😍 Oh ur both so Beautiful for loving Marina.
@@TeuluTribe Really? I hope they were kind.... This should help you get closer to the 100k subbed mark. Like I said up above, something interesting might be Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Just keep one hand on your wallet at all times and you should be alright. Can't think of anything else that would give you a good bump this time of the year, but I'm sure someone here can.
Merry Christmas 🎅. I know how hard it is to have a dog or cat on the boat. Due to all the restrictions you have with the Vet fee's it is pretty expensive. But if I could I would have a cat on the boat. So until next time, Aloha from the Big Island of Hawaii! Looking forward to more videos
Happy New Year from Texas. Congrats on the splash! You can always taste the water in the bilge for saltiness if you’re worried about the newly replaced sea cocks. But anyway glad you sorted it out. Look forward to your journeys ahead. Cheers.
Splash down, fun times. It is hard to make certain choices in life. At least you did not give up on the kitty and gave it a chance at a shelter. Good luck with the up coming adventures. Cheers
Greetings from Vancouver Island , I got hooked on your excellent channel 6 weeks ago , and when i saw the episode with Becka's Hamster i knew she was a really genuine nice person. I lost my 4 year old Airedale Terrier to cancer 2 weeks before Chrismas which was devestating. Your channel has really saved me , distracting me from what has happened and taking me on your adventure . Your content mix is perfect , editing fantastic. thank you for your great channel ! i have watched every episode now and they are a great escape. And yes , i will get another Airedale Terrier. Tom , Vancouver Island B.C. Canada
I've enjoyed following your journey over the past couple of years, this is one of my favorite channels and I look forward to each new episode. Congrats on getting back into the water, excited to see content as you transition to the Pacific. I trust that the pet shelter will find a nice home for the marina cat, it was tough watching you hand her over, she could have been a fun part of the channel, like Mako is on Lauren Lander's boat, but I understand your reasoning and you made a good choice. Merry Christmas and we'll see you next year!
I have 2 cats and one lovely dog, but I totally understand your choice. I would have decided exactly the same way. There will surely be a time when everything fits together. It wasn't now. Be peaceful with that. Fair winds.
Happy New Year. As soon as you can, dive down and remove that shaft anode you fitted just forward of the P bracket. It isn't needed and it's stopping water flowing through the cutless bearing.
Massive haul out, big jobs, some surprises with the rudder. Well done. Enjoy the adventures, thank you for sharing. Tough decision about the cat but the best for you and her.
Becka, I feel your pain when you had to say goodbye to Marina. The simplest solution is that Zach is the surrogate cat now. When you wanted to hold the cat ... He will only suffer a bit from it

We were forced to give up a cute labrador puppy yesterday. We took him to the pound and a girl said wait, I know a guy who wants a puppy, so we waited 20 minutes for them to show up and they had a new puppy they were very happy with, and so were we. Things work out with a little faith.
Wow what a journey. So glad that you took the time and effort to get as much as you could shipshape. Hopefully there is not much left to do (must have water maker before crossing Pacific!) before you set off next year to cross the big one! Really enjoying your vlogs. You have come an amazing long way since you first bought Teulu. Congratulations. Glad you have had a great Christmas and got to see Zach’s parents. Wishing you a fabulous New Year of new adventures. 😊. Its almost enough watching you for me to go out and buy my own boat (I don’t know if being 72 is too late? I lost my wife of 50 years 6 weeks ago so technically i am free.)
Am I right That you have now fitted a folding Prop, I'd really like to know what this achieves in terms of reducing drag and increasing your speed. Br Peter
I got two doggies and can clearly see how things could get extremely complicated and expensive. Believe you guys made the right decision.. stay safe happy sailing again
Your donut zinc is pretty close to your cutlass bearing, may be restricting the required water flow through the bearing to keep it lubricated and cool.
Congratulations on the successful splash. Such exciting news about sailing the Pacific next year. Wishing you two a very Happy Christmas. We can’t wait to follow your adventures ahead. Cheers!
Where I live it is not allowed to sand antifouling. Period. If you do, and you really have to sand and cannot scrape it off, you should always use a vacuum cleaner with the appropriate filter and enough sucktion power. In all the videos I saw, you never did. You are young, but not invincible... Although I am following young people because they feel invincible and I really long to that part of my life. I am concerned. I lived it, and got from it what was possible . Times changed. I know. Just be safe. Take care of your health, it is all you got. You don't realize until it isn't there. Love your spirit.
Launch Day Can be the Best, mine with 4 days to exit USA Waters with my last Sailboat, or a total nightmare forcp the Sailboat owner of the Sailboat being launched immediately prior to mine, the poor guy was in the Cockpit with no Wheel fitted, and the Wheel wasn't even on the Boat, it was still in his Car. So Launch happens, and his boat is headed straight for a very expensive, and pretty new Motor Cruiser boat moored at the side of the Harbour Channel I was warching deon the Park Bench on the top of the Harbourwall oppositecthe Motor opposite the Motor Cruiser, and with franti Rope throwing, and Fenders placed miraculously the Motor Cruiser wasn't touched. Phew ! The launch of mine was thankfully an uneventful anti Climax. Hopefully You are all having an Outstanding Christmas. Bob still Landlocked in Wales. 👍🎄🧑🎄❤️❤️❤️

Do you have scuba gear on the boat? If not I think would be a great idea to buy the tanks and an air pump always ready for a dive 😉

I’m glad you tracked down the annoying leak. I too have water in my bilge and no idea where it’s coming from. It was a rough passage from the boat yard to the marina with plenty of green water over the deck so I’m hoping it has come in from a leaky hatch that I already know about. Not many are willing to invest time, money and emotion on a stray animal. It was a tough decision but I’m sure it was right.
It does you credit!

Wow what a journey. So glad that you took the time and effort to get as much as you could shipshape. Am I right That you have now fitted a folding Prop, I'd really like to know what this achieves in terms of reducing drag and increasing your speed. Br Peter
Congrats on your Daily Mail article.
Happy Christmas Both, from a rainy Cardiff x

I got two doggies and can clearly see how things could get extremely complicated and expensive. Believe you guys made the right decision.. stay safe happy sailing again
Merry Christmas! I was just going to look up your channel when the video popped up. Congratz on a successful splash.

A pint and a curry is waiting is waiting for when you guys get to Bangor - Happy New year
Your donut zinc is pretty close to your cutlass bearing, may be restricting the required water flow through the bearing to keep it lubricated and cool.
Congratulations on the successful splash. Such exciting news about sailing the Pacific next year. Wishing you two a very Happy Christmas. We can’t wait to follow your adventures ahead. Cheers!
117 days....a looong time. felt the sadness with the cat....
I really enjoy watching your journey. Beast wishes
Che bellissimi video, e Auguri di buon Natale

Merry Christmas! 🎄🥳
wishing you and your family a merry christmas and a happy new year
Mele Kalikimaka from Hawaii best wishes for 2024. Mahalo for da videos.
