- Intelligence officials say Iranian hackers sent unsolicited information stolen from the Trump campaign to people associated with President Biden's re-election campaign. Officials say there is no evidence that any recipients responded to the emails and a former Biden campaign official tells CBS News that material was not used. Russia has been manipulating people's social media feeds for almost a decade now, having them fall for a flood of disinformation, clicking and sharing (and believing) the lies.
You might have liked and shared fake content from a foreign country, and you probably wouldn't know. Although I'd argue Americans flood themselves with disinformation all the time, believing in the most absurd nonsense. I guess when an entire country's been brainwashed into faith by religion since childhood, it's perfectly normal for those people to believe in other nonsense. The lack of critical thinking skills is generalised in the US.
Sounds to me like the Iranians would prefer a Biden/Harris administration over Trump. They know Trump won't be giving them billions of dollars in sweetheart deals like Biden and Obama did. Makes me want to vote for Trump even more.
