Love seeing Vella content coming up again. Please keep this going! Would love to see some old school vlog flight missions or even school content. Anything really just keep the paramotor content coming!
Thank you buddy! And you’ve inspired me. Since I saw your comment, I’ve been brainstorming some ideas. Already working on the next video. I hope you enjoy it as well. 😁
My biggest issue with kiting is not having enough wind and not being able to keep it in the air, or way too much surging air and being picked off the ground. I have a Roadrunner, but Arkansas is not cooperating😅
If you always wait for good air, you will never fly. Most flights this year have been rough. Thankful when the air is good but you got to keep that bump tolerance up.
Anthony, during our introduction to paramotoring, at Kitty Hawk, I remember us trying to kite the speedwings that Ron Toran had for us during training sessions. The winds there that day were 20-25 knots… enough for us to get the wing inflated and would lift us off the ground if we jumped! Those were small wings, maybe 15 meter? I have video of those formative days! Love the channel!
Ha ha. It’s fun to make these quick and easy videos. The ones that have a lot of editing take a really long time and occasionally make this enjoyable sport more stressful than it needs to be. thanks for the comment!
@@AnthonyVella so stop doing those. Problem fixed. Mitch G said he was ready to get back on the Paramotor Podcast. Do I have to sponsor it to get it back on the air?
IF you’re going to practise in high winds, 2 suggestions: 1. Fit Capewells to the canopy risers, so, “in extremis” you can jettison one or both risers, and 2. Consider tethering, again with a Quick Release attached. The other thing is to set up your GoPro with a wide lens.
Awesome video! Excellent points. I bought a Seed just because I genuinely enjoy kiting and didn't want to put any extra wear on my flying wing. It's great for the situations you described... trashy, gusty, mid-day winds that are too sketchy for a full-sized wing. The Seed tends to front tuck more, but that's probably good practice as well.
I recently got my butt kicked in my backyard kiting my son's wing. I was being half hearted about it and got plucked and slammed on the ground. I think it was a little dust devil. I realized that I was not in the zone and should have been 100 focused. Lesson learned. I compare it to playing football. You usually don't get hurt when you are 100 percent in the game.
Wow! Wonderful insight from a wonderful dude! I totally agree (now that you mention it). You’ve got to commit! Do it when you’re in the right state of mind. When I’m not, THAT is when I mess things up and break things. 😂
Thanks Tom! You really know how to make my day. Right now, though, my goal is 20,000 subscribers. Interestingly, I kept thinking about how little effort I put into this edit compared to other edits that I’ve done. I really wish that these sorts of videos would help me get to the 20K, but I’m not sure yet. Personally, I prefer edits like this, even as a viewer. They’re more personal and down to earth. Maybe genuine is the right word. Seriously though, I always appreciate seeing your comments.
Its amazing how the UPS didnt 'kite' your wing to your door. That onewheel doesnt seem very good if it ran out of energy that fast and made you carry IT back home.
I’ve been lifted way up in the air by my 3 metre stunting kite at the beach in a strong on-shore wind, I don’t mind as I had either sand or water to land
GT! I love it. I think they have one model that is newer now. I heard it has more torque. This one’s pretty amazing, but the newer one could be noticeably better.

I love going out for high wind kiting! Absolutely essential practice. Great video!
It really is! And thank you!

Totally agree! Thank you for watching, and keep having fun with that Seed!
All wings can be healed brotha. You belong in the sky and WILL be back up there one day.
I think you need to re do this video. 👍🏻
What a coincidence, I was just on my way to the park with my roadrunner.
You’re one of the smart ones that gets out there and practices. Love it buddy!

Don’t know how you don’t have 1M+ followers! Video editing alone is A++ Your narration is top tier too.

Thank you kindly! Hope all is well buddy! Is James still in New Mexico? It’d be awesome to hang out with you guys again.

Wish I’d seen this way back when I learned to kite with a 30m wing.
you’re smart, you have mad skills, you’re hilarious, AND you look like you do!? how are you real?
This is off topic, but what model onewheel is that?

@AnthonyVella I've been thinking about getting one to help lug around my heavy equipment, but they're outside my budget right now. Thank you!

Mr. Anthony,
Where can I get one of those helmets that record video and microphone set up?
Mr. Johnathan,
I made this helmet years ago. I desperately want to build a new one. I’ll probably make a video for you. Stay tuned. ❤️
I rather enjoy flying “trashy air”, just so long as it’s not too low.
What wind speed was this?
26 mph
92
@@AnthonyVellayou should get an anemometer. I've kited a seed in 20 mph, this was a lot lot less.
How's he doing?
Man u paramotored alot sorry for the crash aint no one perfect
i really appreciate it.
It’s too windy. You could have died.
how long have you been a time traveler?
😂
I trust this man
bro had the chance to listen but didnt
I clicked thumbs up, but it still shows zero😢
RUclips hates me. 😂
