    Yet another excellent video, I'm frankly amazed that you manage to find so many "intact" relics of WWII. It's also pleasing to see that your son "Eagle Eyes" clearly has the interest in the subject to carry on his fathers passion in the years to come. Take care and keep up the great work.

    The rock wall took a lot of work to build. I guess they had to dig up a good many of these rocks or maybe took them from other locations and put them here. This is very different looking from any other location you have shown us. I would have thought the pac gun would have been rolled out to be used then put back in the bunker. It had to be loud in that bunker when they fired that gun. The inside of the bunker that could be seen, appears to be in very good condition. The next video should show more.

    Very interesting. One question: how did they get the anti-tank gun in there? It's amazing how heavy duty and elaborate the German bunkers are compared to pill boxes that you see here in the UK which frankly look like death traps. There are many, many pill boxes, anti-tank obstacles, and a few anti-tank ditches still in existence here in the UK as part of the defences hurriedly built in 1940 to defend against possible German invasion. On the German bunker in this video I notice also the angled overhang over the gun port which is a curious feature.

    HH, wondering a bit. When a location is not on public land, do you generally have an easy time getting the landowner's permission to visit? How much resistance?

    • @WW2HistoryHunter
      @WW2HistoryHunter  3 года назад

      It depends on many things. First how problematic the area is regarding idiots going around and dont ask and then how " private " locations are. many landowners just hate people walking anywhere near " their " bunkers etc. But with some diplomacy and gentle touch many doors will be opened. Thanks

I'm not going to stop trying and I'm going to try to keep the smile on my face. There are a lot and meen a lot of people that are worse off then me. So 8m not going to sit around and feel sorry for myself. Doesn't it figured that I would hurt my back on my 52 birthday. It's fitting. I only had 4 people wish me a happy birthday. One was a doctor. It's tr to purge my facebook friends list. I don't know how I got 230 friends. I only really know 8 of them. Ok my.meds are making me talk crap. Have a great time hunting for history.
