My dad loved this recording. He passed away on February 16 2022. He dreamt of going to Ronnie Scott's. This year on February 16 I was in London and visited this place for the first time. It was like I brought him with me.
...and in fact, you did! My old man passed in 2012 @ age 86; he once wrote me a beautiful letter which included a line that stuck with me. "In the end, all we have is our memories."
Beck was out of this world, he was able to make his guitar sing in a way no one else could. He had such a distinct way of playing, one that no other guitarist will ever be able to recreate. A true guitar legend. Rest in power
Listen to some of her own stuff. Do yourselves a favor. I think she was 20 or so when she played with Jeff Beck. Read that again. Not many can claim they've played with Jeff Beck. And as a player, that look between them is euphoria... Doesn't get any better dynamic.
I was there for the whole week,6 shows ,in 5 days, residency by Jeff Beck. I was put in the front row by Jeff's management because during the first show, someone kept standing up playing "Air Guitar". So on this video I am with my friend David in the front row,as I was the entire rest of the week. This was David's favorite song, RIP my friend 10-21-2022...
This is one of the most beautiful live recordings of all time. Unparalleled mastery. Brilliant, evocative, supremely lush and sweeping, it never fails to stir me deeply.
true. geniuses. all of them. a band of geniuses. that's it. glorious. unmatched execution at every possible level. this is music manifesting from within these four people. this is crazy.
RIP Jeff
almost cried when i heard beck died, shed a few man tears after listening again. jeff beck will always be my favorite soloist, there's just nobody that can compare
RIP The only guitar player that could make his guitar sound like a sitar! Quality and innovation of his music never felt bellow greatness. Truly 1 i billion.
Goodbye maestro Jeff Beck. You were truly unimitable. I will always remember the first time I heard "Nadia" at a very young age and knew I had come into contact with something extraordinary. Rest in Peace. We will cherish you, always.
This playing is just on another level. The control he is showing here is sensational. Most accomplished rock guitarists can fairly accurately copy all the greats - except Jeff Beck..his dexterity, skill, musicality and innovation just set him apart. And this is one of his greatest pieces. In many ways, one of the greatest covers of all time!
One of his most melodic and expressive arrangements, getting the fluidity and nuance of a sitar out of his Stratocaster. Compared to Jeff, everyone else just crudely fools around with the whammy bar. Mastery.
RIP Mr. Jeff Beck! I cannot believe his sudden passing. Was so fortunate to see some of his recent live appearances in Phoenix, Arizona and see the magic we all have come to hear and love all these years!
It's been 2 years and it's tough accepting that Eddie Van Halen's gone. Then I heard the shocking news of Jeff's passing. Unlike Eddie who we all knew had been very ill, Jeff even recently collaborated with Ozzy who even had a lot more health issues than him. R.I.P. Jeff. It will be really noisy up there with Eddie, Jimi and SRV, 🎸 Rock on!🤘
Not everyone has his mojo, that''s for sure. Also we have Slow hand's guitar, Mr. Eric Clapton; and Joe Bonamassa, Tosin Abasi in his Ibanez; and others relatively unknows, such as Sonny Landreth, with his "Congo square" song and his really awesome slide technique. God I love music!
Like hendrix,Jeff Becks gift is the incredible sounds he can get from a guitar.Beauty is in the ear of the beholder. As a guitarist I'm amazed at Jeff Becks pure ability to create new sounds&because of his incredible talent they always sound beautiful to me.And the icing on the cake is watching Tal Wilkenfeld play that bass.
Jeff set the bar so high! Only those who loved his joy of playing such beautiful tunes know he played from his heart. Thanks to those that keep him alive through his music.
A marvellous cover of Nitin Sahwney's brilliant song...he almost literally makes his guitar sing here replacing the solo vocal in the original. Amazing 👏
the greatest drummer that has lived to date Vinnie Colaiuta , an amazing up coming fresh bass talent Tal Wilkenfeld and a legendary genius one of a kind guitarist Jeff Beck coupled with the amazing Jason Rebello .
1975 Teacher Mr. Jeff Beck blown me away with Nadia! So I bought and I sneeked a Jeff Beck album under my coat to get through the R&B HOOD...just to safely get this Vinyl on the turn table to learn NADIA!! I been in Love with her since then and still feel that joy when I hear her again I know I loved her before yes my Love.....she calls me and sings to you every time I hold her in my arms and play in her hair/strings....she's my girlfriend/guitar....."SNOWFIRE!" Thank You Mr. Jeff Beck and thanks for digging my music videos on Facebook,..much Love to You Sir! -LENNARD "LINI" RAZOR 🔥💯🎸✊😎❤️
Just grateful that some of these sessions have been recorded and are available to us. Not just Jeff, this group made wonderful music, whatever genre. Thank you all. Wonderful...
I followed Jeff for years...met him in.NJ...when playing with BBA...a very nice sweetheart of a guy...he broke a Heineken bottle open on a car...strong guy...I said youbare going hurt your hands....he laughed We talked a bit...but all he wanted.to talk about was his building cars... Fantastic..having all that talent...I's so.natural to him..comes.easy...I got to hug him..sweet man, with a hard edge...I'm still crying
Words can not describe this glorious performance. Nadia is more than a book of poetry full of magical mysteries. This song changes my brain waves. Jeff Beck flirts with the guitar and gives the guitar character and turns it into a living being that establishes an emotional connection with the audience, like the extraterrestrial connection with humans in the movie of ET.An elite musician and a shining gem in the world of music.
The sheer majestic and exquisite sensitivity brings tears to my eyes. Bought Blow by Blow as a teenager when it came out and still astounded how he continues to adapt and grow in technical virtuosity
Beck is probably one of the few guitarists that were contemporaries of Hendrix that didn't get completely blown away when Jimi came on the scene. Mainly, because Jeff had a different style than most of the others and that his stuff is really complex on a compositional level. He is more than just an axe man. He's a great composer / arranger. Lots of guys can play the crap out of an axe, and noodle away on solosf. But few can truly create something unique and good at the same time.
I love this tune. Love it, love it, love it. I bought the DVD and CD and encourage other people to listen to them too. They are easily among the best music recordings of 2008.
There will never be anyone like Jeff again I imagine, he had such a unique approach on the instrument that no one else could emulate. He was a big inspiration for me on the guitar, so thank you Jeff and rest easy buddy.
Wonderful! This is music at its best! Jeff Beck is a tone master. He gives life to the guitar. Where's the 'repeat' button here on YT when you most need it?
Even the brightest of stars eventually move on but this and all the wonderful music JB made and shared will live on forever. The two seconds between 1:28 and 1:30 are very special though. Thank you JB.
I'm sorry but, I'm not very musically inclined. I can't play an instrument to save my life, but how can anyone dislike this video. When I listen to Jeff Beck; either this song or any other, he just invokes so many different wonderful emotions with his playing. How can that not be anything other than AWESOME!? This guy FRIGGIN' ROCKS!!!
Thanks for sharing your talent with us, Jeff. Maybe the only good thing that comes out of the death of a music legend is hearing fellow musicians cover their songs in honor. Won't expect to hear many of those. No one can play like Jeff. RIP.
My dad loved this recording. He passed away on February 16 2022. He dreamt of going to Ronnie Scott's. This year on February 16 I was in London and visited this place for the first time.

beautiful Luca. May your Pa Rip.

Life sucks sometimes specially when guys like Jeff beck is no longer here , RiP Jeff you’ll forever be remembered,
No one even comes close. How lucky we've been to have had him in our lives.
I was blessed to see Jeff live 2 times. once in port land Oregon and once in Kansas City
Beck was out of this world, he was able to make his guitar sing in a way no one else could. He had such a distinct way of playing, one that no other guitarist will ever be able to recreate. A true guitar legend. Rest in power
True. But somebody should have told him that that’s not what a whammy bar is for. Oh, what could have been…
When that girl smiles it radiates me with happiness.Thats the truest expresion right there.Bless her.
rastan1977 that’s Tal Wilkenfeld bassist who quite high school in Australia.
She's phenomenal
Uses and sponsored by Sarkosky Bass guitars...
She does play with such feeling.
Listen to some of her own stuff. Do yourselves a favor. I think she was 20 or so when she played with Jeff Beck. Read that again. Not many can claim they've played with Jeff Beck.
And as a player, that look between them is euphoria... Doesn't get any better dynamic.
His fingers were his vocal cords ... What an artist. A man of staggering musical range.
Yup. Staggering. That was the perfect word.
Beautiful, poignant tribute mate.
A genius. Simply a genius!

This is one of the most beautiful live recordings of all time. Unparalleled mastery. Brilliant, evocative, supremely lush and sweeping, it never fails to stir me deeply.

Vinny doesn't get the credit he deserves. His percussion abilities -excellent!
It’s hard to get credit when you are beside Jeff Beck.
Sounds like breakcore but playing a jazz song
Someone said" Anyone can learn to play guitar, but no one will ever play like Jeff Beck" R.I.P Jeff THANKS FOR THE MUSIC....
How can you not Love Tal's smile?😃😃
One of the pioneers of jazz rock fusion. 🎸🇬🇧🇺🇲
Jeff Beck's playing fills everyone's hearts of joy... Should be used to cure depression
His guitar can sound like a soft tender voice. Such mastery.
Goodbye, Jeff. You live forever.
oh man. Driven to tears here. This is a jewel. And what a great guitarist, what a beautiful soul. Rest In Peace maestro.
