- So here it is after so much demand, and I'm glad I made this. For those who don't know about the OG Clone Wars series that aired back in 2003 on Cartoon Network, this was the series that bridged the gap between Episode 2 and Episode 3. Honestly it's very underrated as you can imagine with the incredible The Clone Wars series that we're all used to. So I decided to give it some love and make an OP with it, that I hope you all enjoy!

Funny, since George Lucas himself said that he liked the slight anime feel he got from the series (at the time, at least, he was very into anime, from what he said in an interview)

Masterful. The structure was right, the pacing was right, the action was well-organized, and it legitimately felt like an anime opening. Even the part where the Armored Titan was walking, you put in a clip of Durge swaggering along. And the still frame of the Attack Titan and the Armored Titan was replaced with a still of Anakin and Ventress. Wonderful. There were the setting-up shots, and then the characters preparing for battle, and then the charge into the fire, and a few shots of the actual battle itself. Perfection.

I was so angry they never rereleased the og clone wars when it showed everything that happened leading up to episode 3(including why grievous was coughing like a whimpering clod courtesy of mace windu reking his chest in the last episode)

And I don't mean cutting corners. I mean making one scene 50% so you can make another scene 150%.

This show is what introduced the world to General Grievous. And he was a total badass in this show. I mean he was very intimidating and a really proficient fighter that did kill many Jedi. Seriously watch his assault on Coruscant to kidnap Palpatine. So it was weird to see him in Revenge of The Sith being so downgraded. This series also explains where his cough came from.
The part where the Jedi lower their blades at 0:54 with the music in sync gets me all the time tho...

It feels so good to see Grievous clips and go "These were all badass"
This show was the best thing about the prequels from 1999-2005.

technically speaking he us using the force to strengthen his punches and kicks during that fight and he does use force push to obliterate the tops of some B2 (super battle droids) and force pull to take the screws out of another and throw them at some more.
He IS using the force smacking those droids. Force empowered punches and all that jazz

Bravo! This is one of my favorite pieces of Star Wars and is still canon in my book. The Clone Wars Micro Series is incredible.
The animated clone wars isn't canon because star wars the series used alot of it and changed plot arcs. But in my book its better than the series.
It's so nostalgic to see this art style again. I'm so happy.

Awesome video! When I was a kid, I only watched one scene from this cartoon - when Anakin hallucinates in a cave, while the wall drawings animate and foreshadow his becoming Darth Vader. It was really striking for me at the time.

I just want to say how powerful it is to end with Anakin and Qui Gon looking at the tree, it really ties this to being Darth Vader's journey and how it started as Anakin's childhood

Well, I'm fairly confident in saying, that this here is your best Star Wars OP yet, it's amazing, and I got a really bad craving to rewatch Clone Wars again for the umpteenth time!
I like how the part when Grievous turns his face and shows his menacing eye fits very well with the music playing at that moment
