So this was a little fun to pass the time today. I'm a fan of the artstyle as well as the mini episodes for Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures and it's very anime inspired so I decided to do an anime style OP for it. I'll do 3 of these, A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. Since that's mainly the films they do. So hopefully you all like this. And yeah this is a taste to come for more Star Wars content for all my subscribers.

@@barthelemyglaud5473 disney doesn't own ghibli, they just distributed some ghibli films in the west during the 2000s. disney no longer even have the distribution rights in the US and a few other territories, GKIDS do and have done since 2011.

I was shocked. As soon as I heard the first notes, I paused it and put in both earbuds like, "please put more of this into my brain now". My favorite FMA OP song, paired with a great Star Wars anime opening? YES PLZ.
I like how you included prequels content at the beginning since it's backstory that doesn't get fully explained until later in the series, just like in FMAB OP 1
And the R2-D2 shot midway through mirroring a similar shot at the same point in the song as the Brotherhood opening
Mackerel Soup The animation wasn’t originally made by him, it’s an actual short series know as Star Wars: Galaxy of Adventures, you can find it on the Star Wars kids RUclips channel
So this story centers around a pair of siblings, one of whom wears a lot of black and has a prosthetic hand. Their mother is dead, and an attempt to save her went horribly wrong, trapping someone permanently in a suit of armor (and also dismembering someone.)
Their father grew up a slave boy in a desert city and once listened to the advice of the main villain, resulting in him getting probably thousands of people killed. He’s understandably regretful and upset about this, though he doesn’t join his heroic children until close to the end of the story.
There’s an organization of magic users that works for the government that one of the siblings eventually joins. Some years ago, there was a large war that these magic users aided the military again, but essentially on the wrong side-the other side was fighting for freedom to practice their culture. This war was engineered by the villains, who control the government and wanted to use the bloodshed for their own purposes. A man from the magical organization finds out about the true nature of the head of state, but he is unceremoniously killed shortly after.
...yup, sounds like Star Wars! :D

Only problem is that it isn't culture they're trying to preserve with independence (The CIS), it's their trade routes and crony capitalism. Most of the CIS were just concerned about their personal welfare. Wait, who's the man who finds out and is killed? Windu?

To add to the true nature of the head of state, don't forget the oppressive government that commits genocide and is a stepping stone to darker.
Also, both the force and alchemy require some balance.
Plus, one character loses his vision for a time and gets it back.
This is the best of the 3 just because it's FMABs opening
This is my favorite opening from FMAB. Even with FMAB aside, this song is great! I always get goosebumps whenever I hear this song

1:17 Luke looking at Obi-Wan and Vader, while the background changes to Tatooine, is the best thing. This is so right, on so many levels!
The first 3 seasons were pretty good. The Christmas OVA was weird, but the Boba Fett scenes were pretty tight. The series for the early 00s had too much CGI and weren't as good, but that Netflix adaptation a few years ago was garbage.
What about that new Mandalorian spin-off?

I've watched aNH a million times but this is the first time I'm moved by how heroic Han was joining the battle on the Death Star.
The scene of him piloting the lone Falcon towards the Death Star, where everyone is fighting except him, especially 1:12 Han's determined face as he sees those red and blue laser blazing everywhere like a net and he still managed to get through all that just to lend this Skywalker kid a helping hand...it's a totally different rendition from the 3 seconds 'Yooo you're all clear kid' in the original film but with a sick anime song in the background it really is moving.

Alright, the team who animated Galaxy of Adventures definitely needs a raise or their own show. This animation style oozes so much style and is so crisp, the transition between obi wan and anakin vs dooku to vs eachother is so great I love it

Vader's design is so perfect for anime. It's so instantly recognizable and iconic from every angle. Also super adaptable for different animation styles. I'd love to see Murata draw some Vader art.

But then I kept watching and had the biggest grin on my face the entire time.
Kudos and highest honors to you. This was brilliant and a wonderful tribute to both.
I always come back to this one because I'm so... just impressed by it? Not just because of the editing, but because it hits all the same emotional beats that we feel when watching the OP in its original context. I can't help but think of the parallels while also enjoying this for what it is.

Idk why but I always felt a certain connection between fma and star wars, therefore the goosebumps I got were both for the outstanding art and for the music chosen for this video.
