Prime 1 studio bait and switch is getting ridiculous! They have a professional paint the prototype lifelike, in a way they know the factory can't even come close. I'm big nervous for the 1/3 Jungle Hunter haha

I think at a certain point of view it's actually fine, though I agree that the paint job on the gums were very dull (aside for the unfortunate broken parts) but I think overall it still looks great , in my opinion
That is so Huge for a quarter scale!! 😱 Predator is pretty tall compared to a human. That looks totally wicked. Love the Predator lines 😍👍👍
I definitely understand your criticisms and totally agree that many breakages is a huge fail. Not really feeling this statue overall.

I would prefer replacement but I'm doubting that's an option
ugh, another reason to be concerned for the Jungle Hunter 1/3.....Unusual to see them use the black foam for packaging, the way they cut it might have contributed to the breakages maybe....nice review though, fair, good stuff.

Perfect reason why I got out of statue collecting. $3500, waited forever and it arrives broken with tons of issues. Do other high end collectibles have as many issues as statue collecting?

It really sucks when you're so excited about a statue and it just doesn't cut it and when you're paying as much for something like this what to you do in the end. I don't know maybe it's just me anyone else feel feel the same?
Wait, so there's nothing you can do with breaks here on a $3,000 figure?? I'm about to get into Anime scale figure collecting, but I'm definitely looking into that first because I'm currently looking at a couple $1,500 1/4 pieces that are extremely intricate as well, even more than this and that's concerning now.... I haven't seen an issue like that until I saw it on this horror/predator channel though?? The anime ones I've watched so far haven't had it or mentioned it even with walls of figures, do you know if this is an issue with all scale figure collecting??

I truly hope that works out for you, you would think they would replace it for sure, I'd be devastated! I don't have much money but want like 1 or 2 of these a year and man I wouldn't be happy at all & surely would never use them again if they didn't replace it, even if they were my favorite company unfortunately cause thats more than 3 grand to me it'd mean a lot, I can't wait to be able to get Just my first one...
I love the assassin predator I think it had the potential to push the predator franchise super far! I know the masks were one of if not their standout feature but the lore behind why he didn’t need one was pretty neat and he was a pretty badass character despite his embarrassing defeat.
Wow that is extremely disappointing that prime-1 Studios drop the ball on this between shipping and paint. Hopefully they see your review and realize what a Miss they did here and take care of you on the breakages that is just way too much breakages. Sorry to see it happen to you I can only imagine how you feel after spending that much money

It's an eye catcher from a distance for sure! Can imagine it'll attract a lot of attention when you first walk into the room. Sorry about all the breakages!
It’s hard not to like anything from the Predator/Alien line. His hound is awesome. It looks decent to me -That green blood pops !!! Also, the one thing you have going for the breakages is it’s behind the head and with the murky style paint job you should be able to touch it up some and it look fine with relative ease. Still sucks though don’t get me wrong

Yeah he looks a bit bare compared to the other preds and you are right about the head its just an all around odd ball piece.

Not the worst but that paint job needs help.. I wonder sometimes if it's really more along the lines of those colors just not popping enough for statues.
Only wrong I see here is no veins in the mouth, mouth looks a bit too plain Jane, but mine comes in 2 days, so ill see what I feel in person, good vid

That’s a shame about the breakages really shouldn’t expect that at those prices, but without the issues it does look pretty cool and definitely understand where your coming with the gums on the portraits

thats gotta suck getting breakages on something so expensive,ouch. i bought a green lantern funko pop last week in a dented box and got it for $10 even ,good price but the box sucks sigh lol

Cool piece but with the paint issues and breaks with that price tag, it's a big let down.

All those breakages are such a let down. First time I have seen P1 using black foam. Maybe that is part of the issue?

This predator is massive. It's an neat collection, but so much space to display this. Anyhow, I'm sure you will find a way MR X.
Looks great if you stand back and take it all in. But up close, the paint job on some parts looks like it was done by a 1st year art student...passable but hardly the quality we've come to expect from Prime 1, especially when you're shelling out $3K. Thanks for posting.
Nice looking sculpt but the paint apps is one of the worst paint jobs I've seen on any Prime 1 statue.

That many breaks is really concerning. Although I’m not planning on getting there Ahab Predator due to the fact I don’t think it will fit in the space I wanted to put it in, I truly hope it turns out better than this for everyone who did buy it. Now I am also worried about breaks on there Alien warrior which I am buying.

Yeah don't think I'd been happy with that one. Especially with breakages. Cancelled buying it and glad I did. Managed to get the big chap instead with no breakages thankfully. Especially when they just want give discount on next purchase.
This is f*cking horrible. It’s almost like they do this out of spite because the ES was so low. P1 has a terrible track record with Pred pieces (exception the fugitive , which I thought was really well done). I’ve pulled back my business with P1 by a massive amount since their quality seems to be going down hill. Let’s see how the 1/3 JH turns out. If they mess that one up they are going to lose A LOT of customers. Good review btw.

It's funny if I had ordered this I wouldn't think nearly as much as you are on some of the paint app. You've seen so many statues you have a reference for what's acceptable. It's a killer statue I would think about having it repainted.

Very big predator statue I think the colors could have been better the pose is good but they dropped the ball on paint and you are right the movie was a big let down
The Predator skull attached to the spine is cool but like the movie this statue doesn’t look good.
That’s very uncharacteristic of prime 1. I’m quite happy with what I have from them but everyone can swing and miss at times
I agree, this is a shitty paint job. This is what you would expect from Sideshow. I got 2 more pieces coming from Prime 1, and I hope the paint is better than the last piece I got.

Prime studios just lost my support because their shipping cost is outrageous. $200.00 to ship a 1/4 scale statue that weighs 20 lbs. Prime has some great statues but they need to do something about shipping cost. On that note these statues need a place that has lots of room to store them because they are huge!!!
I love nearly all of the Predator movies to some degree and am really fond of the Yautja design. I was fine with this film, but design of this one was far too bland for me. I'm not a fan of how it goes together or the price, so this particular piece is a fail from me on pretty much every level.
Sucks about all those breakages. Even though this movie was terrible i fully agree that the presence of this piece would draw you in if you saw it in someone's collection.
Definitely a massive statue. But I can't get excited about any statue from Shane Black's The Predator. I just can't justify displaying anything from a movie that bad.

Body looks more like a lycan than a pred. Size is the wow factor on this.
Yes the mouth is not up to par. And the green is just terrible. But it is big.
Very disappointing. The one thing about statues this size is that attention to details is very important. I like the dog, though. Overall, though, still a great statue and a conversation piece.

Oh wow what a huge disappointment from Prime 1's top sculptors. It looks like someone took a huge pile of turd and decided to make a Predator sculpt out of it. The paint job is horrible and the portraits make me want to puke. Then they have the nerve to sale it to Predator fans. Way to take people's money and on top of it all they didn't even packed it up so it wouldn't break. I'm sorry mr. X but you got screwed and they didn't even have the common decency to give you a reach around. Hope they have a good return policy.
The size is impressive for sure, but honestly not a big fan of this one. The character design is just bland, imo.
Hated how they changed the mythology of the universe. Individual characters were fun, but the twist on who the Predators wanted was just goofy. Such a shame that it was directed by a guy from the original movie and he thought ppl would like this. From the thumb nail I thought it was an unpainted statue. Blah coloring
Yea it’s not great, I don’t like the bases, they’re too plain, and I just hate this Predator, I hate when they mess around with the design of the Predator. It’s the coolest alien ever created, stop bloody messing around with it.
But I don’t have a problem with no helmet, he didn’t have a helmet in the movie so they would have had to create a helmet that was never in the movie. But i love the helmets, if I had these statues I would display them with the helmets on.
The dog was the best part of this, out of all your Predator statues i feel this is the weakest for the price.

It's a real shame that such a cool character came from such a terrible movie. I love the pose and the size but everything else is a miss. They should have done a bit more especially for the price.
Real bummer on all the breakages, paint seems really dull to me and the open mouth sculpt is awful, looks like it's a concept prototype not even It will approximately look like this when shipped prototype. Big disappointment from a Prime 1 statue. Be Excellent.
