Thank you s much for your kind words and encouragement!
Burn Cottage was one of our favorite producers from our trip to Central Otago! We also really enjoyed the Pinot from Martinborough
Excellent!
I love watching your descriptions and reactions to different wines, both good and bad, and everything in between. That's what's I find so interesting about wines, they have so many different, innumerable personalities.
Thank you for watching!
The wines are: 2018 Bothwick Estate Right Hand Pinot Noir Wairarapa $39.99, 2022 Seresin Estate Beautiful Chaos Pinot Noir Marlborough $39.99, 2022 Burn Cottage “Moonlight Race” Pinot Noir Central Otago $39.99
I'm just a wine amateur, but I really enjoy your analyses. Honestly, like you, I love that "barnyardy" character to some wines. Friends look at me like I've lost my mind, LOL. Years ago, I had a Chateauneuf-du-Pape that somehow reminded me of being on my granduncle's farm. For so long I wondered what it was... It was that barnyard aroma. Please keep up the great work, Peter!
Thank you for watching! More to come!
Hi Peter! I really enjoy your channel. I'm living in Amsterdam and have come to appreciate Austrian wines over the last couple of years. Wondering if you could do a Gruner Veltliner (mid -price range) tasting with recommendations. Thanks
Thank for the suggestion. Will do.
lately i had echezaux rougeot 2017 $800, burn cottage $48, cristom jefferson $54 and marcassin marcassin 2013 $ 300 the last was clear winner of the flight but the real darling was the kiwi
For sure. For the money.
When you do Willamette valley please include Kings Ridge :)
Not sure what that is - a brand? Pinot Noir?
@@MasterSommelierPeterNeptune yes sorry! Kings ridge Pinot noir 2022 if possible!
In future, could you please list the wines you tasted . Thanks
Yes I have been doing that. Thanks for commenting.
Hi Peter. What do you attribute the funk in wine 2 to? Is it an acceptable and pleasing kind of VA, or something else? Where does “poopiness”/barnyard usually come from?
well, I think it is a combo of grape varietal, terroir (where the grape is grown) and pehaps a touch of Brett (below or barely at threshhold).
