Your channel about POE is fantastic. Even if I have 1,5k hours in poe, I am still learning new things from your videos. Thank you for making videos about poe!
I just got into your channel recently so I'm seeing this sort-of late. But I tried this myself and also adapted it for myself actually and just thought I'd share my findings! Basically I swapped a div card scarab out for influenced monsters get 40 percent more pack size. To try and really eek out more altar spawns so that I had more chances to take map quant or other goodies. Alongside this I also did 8 mod corrupted jungle valleys. I was pretty consistently getting 4-6 altars per map (of course there are the flop maps and others where you hit really nicely) instead of the usual 1-4 I was seeing without the scarab. It seemed pretty worth to me and also helps fuel my addiction of trying to hit the divine altar once per league 🤣 anyways great vid! Love how interactive you are with the comments down here
Very cool strategy! Loving it. Although a friend shared something with me and it's been working well. If you take the middle (yellow) path towards Crop Rotation and then take the 2 big nodes that reduce red and blue by 25% the crop fields that spawn are almost always "mixed". Before that I would quite often get 1 crop with the same color (red on both sides for example) which is good if its red or blue but not if its yellow because you can harvest only 1 (usually). If you do the setup I mentioned above, I almost always get mixed fields which allows me to target upgrade yellow as much as possible. Now even a 3 crop field map (which is considered bad) gets me about 2k yellow. Do you have any input on that? I have only tired it with like 10 maps and it seems good!
That can work. Sometimes you run into Sacred Groves without any yellow at all this way, but it is a feast-and-famine strategy, so maybe going with the yellow path makes it more consistently good.
@@PathofEvening Here to report back. In 20 maps I got 28k yellow and 14k blue. I did get 2 maps with no yellow at all but I pulled 1-2k blue from each. I also managed to upgrade to 2 bosses (tier 4 I think?) which was nice. Overall I am not certain if it's worth it to take the yellow path or not but I feel like I am getting more upgraded plants. I will keep on farming with it for the rest of the week and report back on a larger data sample.
Look into the horned scarab of awakening… gives an additional 50% chance not to wilt so you can get 20k+ lifeforce each run on the bigger drops and 10k on smaller runs
Hey! Thank you both for all of your videos this league!! This is my first real POE league and I’ve followed your Toxic Rain build as well as the Alva / Beast currency strategy. I’ve just bought my Diadem and based on your week 1 guide am looking into upgrading to a cluster jewel and better bow. Should I be doing this though if my Chaos Resist isn’t 75 year and my life is still under 4k? Not sure if you have any Defensive breakpoints you like to hit before upgrading the porcupine bow. Also, wondering what you would do with the extra Atlas points I’ve accumulated in the Alva / Beasts tree? Sounds like you both were a bit cool on Essences in T1 maps. Are those extra points best used on scarab nodes?
If you're above 0 Chaos Res, you're doing well enough defense-wise to start working toward a +3 bow. It's a pretty huge DPS increase, and doing more damage-killing monsters more quickly-helps with a lot of defensive woes. As for the Alva/Beast tree, putting leftover points into Scarabs is a pretty good fallback!
Just wanted to let you know that I crafted the end game bow using your guide and it makes a WORLDs of difference. I am having a blast playing POE for the first time with my friends and your content and videos has made all of that way more accessible. Keep up the great work!!
Just wondering. Your flasks are constantly going. Is it 3 charges from pahtfinder and 3 charges from the unique belt that enable this, or is there something else you use? I've written off using a mageblood this league but the new belt looks really cool.
Thanks for the video! Question for you on the 5 plot you showed. Wouldn’t it have made more sense to harvest the purple first since it would upgrade all of the yellows somewhat? Wouldn’t it have given you less options at the end, but more value on the 3 yellow/yellows you harvested? I’m not sure how the mechanic works exactly just curious.
Technically yes, but the higher tier plants spawn with a delay (grey spawns immediately, white after about a second or two, blue after that again and so on). So while you TECHNICALLY would have slightly better chances of spawning yellow life force, the chance is low enough that it makes more sense to clear out more plots faster and have higher quality individual plots close to the end. In essence, the strategy is to get to as few upgraded plants per harvest as quick as possible (a T3 purple is still worth more guaranteed than a potential drop from T2 yellows). Clearing out the biggest colour first regardless of type is usually the play because of this, even if it costs you some yellow juice.
Can you explain further? I usually pick purple then blue then yellow in order.if I have a one yellow with blue in one plot with another yellow in another plot somewhere else I may pick the yellow first for the no wilt chance
So the reason for doing the yellows in the 5-plot Sacred Grove is that there are three of them that are all double-yellow, so if we do the other colors first, we only get two chances to upgrade them. This means we aren't going to get very much juice on any of the yellow plots. By doing all the yellows, we get three upgrade chances on the other two plots, and can then be reactive based on what has upgraded and potentially get a fourth or fifth upgrade going into our final plot. Yellow is more valuable, but not so much more valuable than a 2-upgrade Yellow plot is going to outperform a 4-upgrade Blue or Purple in most cases.
Is there a dps req for farming harvest? My dps in pob isn't 100% accurate bc ea elementalist stuff, but I feel like I'm killing stuff too slow for harvest to be efficient. I'm at 7 mil dps rn and saving up for a Polaric devastation which should add a lot more, and not having max atlas points and void stones could also be a problem. Idk :/
7 million DPS should be more than enough for t16 Harvest farming. Bad map or monster mods can slow things down, but that is enough damage for most situations.
Sorry if he said it on video and i missed it. But how much atlas skillpoints i need to have minimum to work it anyhow? I'm new player and choosen harves since i cant value 30 items a minute. And i dont think i will get more than 80 map points when im already at 60 and are pretty stuck.
Yeah, it will work with fewer points, you'll just want to do it as a low-investment strat initially as you keep working on your atlas, and expand once it's closer to finished.
dude sorry for the question but I found your channel a few days ago, and immediately subscribed! my question is I wanna be able tank formed etc. kinda invits, and fast map clear, how much budget I need can you give me an idea? and I'd like to combine this with headhunter what do you say?
The main stuff you need to get the build online is fairly inexpensive. Good 3-notable Chaos Clusters are less than 2 Divines, an endgame bow costs about 6-8 Divines to craft. The main expense will be getting good skill gems, specifically Awakened Void Manipulation. Headhunter's great for juiced mapping, but actually a significantly weaker belt than Tides of Time (which costs ~10-15% as much) for bossing and most other content. HH is basically just a bad leather belt when bossing. Pretty fun for juiced maps, and cheaper than ever this league!
@@PathofEvening hey it's me again! Prior to Harvest, Essence (ruclips.net/video/fqn_FtbupCk/видео.html). 8 Div/hr is lower than 50, of course, but that 50 per hour was in the middle of Affliction League, the most inflated league ever, and it used some tech that is no longer available to really juice profits to another level. 8 at the start of a league with relatively low cost is pretty solid. Not the best, but for a cheap strategy, not bad.
Love me some Crop Rotation, one of my favorite farming strats. Would be very interested in understanding the trade-off between doing this version vs using the awakening scarab for less wilting chance or harvest memory. Since you're converting a lot of Phys taken into Lightning and Cold damage, you want to be sure to overcap those resistances, too. This can help cover any Blue Eldritch Altar debuffs or Ele Exposure used by monsters. If you're not overcapped on Light/Cold res, then debuffs that reduce those resistances have an enormous multiplicative effect on how much damage you take since you're converting a huge chunk of Phys damage into that type, as well.
We're not only running 8-mod maps, but that would be more profitable. Doing the entire map before the Harvest gives you a chance to find Quant/Rarity Altars, which will increase the returns from Harvest.
dont u wanna take the reduced yellow crop grown in atlas tree so that u get less yellow plants in grove and more blue/purple to juice up yellow to the fullest???
Pretty much that. Maybe all three plants have the same spawn rate, but yellow seems to be less common than the other two. When taking the yellow path, the number of times when no yellow plants were in the Sacred Grove at all was uncomfortably high.
