Home Run Inn Pizza Rocks!!!! I went to their restaurant in Chicago besides picking it up at a grocery freezer and they don't call it Home Run Inn Pizza for nothing. This tops the charts.
Dooooood. I had never tried Home Run Inn. Our markets didn’t carry it out here in Cali for a looooong while. But yesterday, my local Safeway was selling these at a 50% discount (overstock) and I bought the sausage and pepp. I gotta say…damn fine pizza for frozen. And the crust reminds me of that flaky pie crust you get in a Chicago deep dish. Also, no skimping on the sauce and toppings. I was shocked with how good it was. The sauce is soooo different from every other pie in the frozen game. And the fact that the cheese is pre-melted kinda blew my mind. Add a bit of Crystal Hot Sauce and that shit is FIRE! Going back to buy the rest of them ($3.99 each!).
This review was definitely ON POINT. It even had that orange grease layer that I soooo love!

Best pizza ever had in my life💡
1000% agree! The quality alone puts most other frozen pizza's to shame. I love the strong the tomato sauce is. It's not sweet, runny or tangy. And the crust has a really nice buttery/flaky undertone to it.
If I could complain about one thing I'd say they can definitely be kinda stingy with the pepperoni so I typically get the sausage and pepperoni kind. Still a solid 9.5/10 pizza for me!
The crust doesn’t have a hint of butter, it’s legit all butter. Only down side

Being from Chicago I love Home Run Inn pizza! The restaurant version is better but for frozen it’s the best! On top of deep dish pizza , Chicago Style Hot Dogs and Italian Beefs Chicago has some of the best food of any city.

Chicago guy here. Home run inn definitely fire for frozen pizza. My favorite time pick then up is when the grocery stores here have a 2/$10 sale

Home run inn and motor city deep dish are my go to frozen pizzas. Nothing else compares to these brands! Feels like im eating restaurant quality pizza.
I was born and raised in Chicago but no longer live there. Never really bought the frozen HRI pies when I lived there but I do now. I try every frozen pizza on the market that I can get my hands on and I always come back to home run Inn. It has a distinct and addicting flavor that I just love. Unfortunately her in the Ozarks ( Springfield MO ) they never have the ultra thin crust only the regular crust > But Aldi and Hy Vee usually have them for $6.99 to $7.99 and I usually always stock up on them. EXCELLENT FROZEN PIZZA !!!!

Im a Floridian so I've never had the actual Homerun Inn restaurant but as someone who has had over 1000 frozen pizzas I can honestly say, Homerun Inn is my fav that is in my supermarket (publix)
I'm from Chicago & home run in is garbage they used to be everywhere in the early 2000s they expansion ain't even last a decade till they started closing locations & the frozen pizza is even worse than a Tony's frozen pizza

hard to beat freschetta wood brick oven thin crust pizzas. they're the best i ever had.
Check out "reviewbrah" 's old videos he used to do frozen stuff all the time and he did freschetta a lot..think it was his favorite of all the frozen. Been watching that guy since like 2013..check out his old videos there are some real good ones.
Freschetta is the best. Digiorno croissant crust pizzas are good too.

Hello::: I make my Red Baron Pizza a Home Run by adding half can mushrooms, Green Peppers and extra cheese. How thats a Home Run !!! I have never seen a Frozen Pizza I really like !!!

.i found this pizza last year and i got it because it was on sale 2 for / bucks, so i got 4 of them. It's 8.99 here and i still buy them hnds down the BEST FLAVOR of any of the frozen piaas and even tatse better than 70% of the delivery piizza places
Completely in alignment with your endorsement my man, unreal pizza. You didn't mention it, but on top of great cheese, sauce, and other ingredients, it's that buttery flakey crust that really stands out for.HRI pizza.
100% agree with you on it being the best frozen pizza! But that price... Last time I bought one here in St. Louis it was $5.99 at Wal Mart. Maybe it has to do with us being closer to Chicago?

How long did you bake it? I feel 450 for 20 mins is way to much yet yours looks pretty good
the best thing about home run pizza is the crust. another good one is pub pizza, they don't skimp on the the toppings. lots and lots of cheese.

I can't say Home Run Pizza is the best because I've never had one. They are available at my local grocer. For me, I choose Lottza Motzza for medium crust or Bellatoria for thin crust that I consider "the best" in the frozen pizza game. I"ll give the Home Run Pizza a try when it is on sale. If for no other reason then "The Endorsement" says so.

I'm glad you did that review I tell people all the time if you're buying frozen pizza Home Run Inn is the way to go I always get the sausage pepperoni with big huge hunks of sausage not that little Tombstone DiGiorno Red Baron cardboard stuff won't buy anything else it is pricey it's $9.99 out of my Publix in North Florida hopefully people will go try it because hard to find anybody else in the game like that

I kept hearing about this pizza when people talk about Chicago style pizza. Finally tried it tonight and I’m disappointed. Comparing to other frozen pizzas, it’s better in some ways, not as good in others, but overall not bad. But it’s definitely not comparable to Chicago style pizza in any way. $12 for 2 at Sam’s Club so I might buy it again because it’s a decent price.
Still on the hunt for a real Chicago style pizza which is tough to find in my area. I might have to break down and Mail order some Gino’s
I was wondering when you would do a frozen pizza review. I bought one of these about 6 or 7 years ago and remembered it was pretty good.
The ultra thin are the way to go... I add thin sliced sweet peppers and bacon. And can usually be found for.$5.99, but $3.99 on sale recently.
I just tasted this pizza for the first time just now. The crust tastes like a cracker that’s been microwaved. it’s very flaky and doesn’t taste like actual bread crust. Other than that it’s pretty good pizza. I would rate it about 6.7 out of a 10.
Home Run Inn Sausage is probably my 2nd favorite frozen pizza. Brew Pub Lottza Mottza Sausage and pepperoni is my absolute favorite frozen pizza.

I bought a couple of these, and I don't like them at all. They look fake to me. But maybe I'm doing something wrong. Idk. I'm not a fan of this pizza. I came to the comments to see if anyone felt the same. But everyone seems to enjoy.
Palermo's Primo thin crust with pepperoni is worth a try if you haven't.
For a while there, I thought this was the best frozen pizza. But by the end, near the last slice, the cheese just got to be too much. There was so much cheese piled on, it was overload and took away the taste of the pizza.
I like cheese. A lot. And I like HRI. Its just not the best. But its up there.
I love that pizza- you should try Reggio's. I believe they are also a Chicago co. I know they sell it at Aldi and prob Jewel food stores.
Never seem them. My go to is Brew Pub Lotza Motza, which is normally 7.99 in my area.

I love these pizza's there so much cheese that is just mind blowing and the flavor is spot on too.. I get this every once in awhile from my sister in law cause she does that instcart shopping. She will sometime get these pizzas and bring to me.. Best frozen pizza in my opinion.
I tried Home Run some time ago and didn’t care for it. Especially for the premium price. How did you get it to cook evenly? Convection oven? I have to cook mine about 50 degrees cooler to get the center done without burning edges. I have an extra thermometer to verify oven is calibrated
You need to cook it as the directions say not 50 less, get the ultra thin pizza crust, and try that. A little burnt edges is a good thing.

I bought one and the crust between the sauce and the bottom of the pizza (I believe it's called the gum line) it was super doughy and uncooked. I wrote them an email they sent me a coupon for another one and it was the same thing. It's like the crust needs to be cooked before they put the sauce and toppings on...I don't get what the big deal about these are lol

Hmmmmm…. Never heard of it, but it looks fantastic. The way it looked frozen, it looks like it could have been precooked because of how the cheese was laid out. Very interesting.

Prehistoric, Haha, that explains why you never heard of it, Ultra thin crust sausage for the Win, Yes the weirdest looking pizza right out of the box, they melt the cheese and than flash freeze it I think.
The price isn't justifiable when you can get a large 3 topping pizza form Dominos for $7.99. Home Run Inn's frozens pizza do have a distinct yeasty and buttery flavor that's more like pie crust than pizza dough. I like that but the price is wack.

I had to try this to see if I liked it more than the first time...and its as bland...I just forgot why I disliked it. I wouldn't have eaten it if I didn't use parm, garlic powder and hot sauce. I should have gotten the "fully stuffed" Digiorno. A waste of $8.
I rotate pizzas might get a lottza Motzza or a Belotoria sometimes tombstone or Orv's. I like Connie's Freschetta and screamin Sicilian. I'm all over with frozen pizza. Kind of a close my eyes and point to one. I can't remember if I've had Home Run In I think I've seen them I'm going to have to take a look.

Never heard of this pizza brand. But in my opinion, the beef frozen pizza out there is the Screamn' Sicilian. Have you tried or reviewed that one yet?
