- Hi All! Here's a lesson for Duck River. I made this arrangement based on the playing of Art Stamper (don't judge me, but I have so many Art Stamper CDs. Lol). Anyway hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment feedback and questions.
Tuning is double d tuning (Double C, capo 2). So tune to GCGCD, then capo 2, and either spike your 5th string to A, or retune it up a whole step to A.
Enjoy!
Love your lessons especially this and spotted pony. Thank-you and grateful
I can't stop listening to your playing of this tune, it's stunning. Thank you so much for the lesson!!
I am now onboard. I'm glad I found you. Keep 'em coming, please!
Thanks John! I appreciate you!
Wonderful. Thank you
Thanks for a great lesson! Love your playing.
This is terrific!! Love this tune, and your teaching is great. I’ve been playing fretless but I have one with frets on order, and this def going on my list! Subbing.👏👏❤️
Vraiment très belle façon de jouer le banjo, et de partager. c'est un plaisir de vous entendre
Excellent playing and super clear instruction.
Very enjoyable 🎉❤thankyou
Excellent play and teaching
Excellent. Thanks a bunch.
I've uploaded today a version of spotted Pony that i learned from you.
Keep the vids coming 👍
This makes me so happy to hear! It means a lot- I will check out your video. Thank you!
I love your banjo lesson
This is really great and I'm looking forward to learning more songs from you! Although the image I have of you in my head is this drunken banjo guru who is explaining beautiful songs to me with a bit of a slur and a sway as I have to play everything at .5 speed lol
This comment has me cracking up! Haha glad you enjoyed it. Looking forward to posting more videos soon I hope. :)
🔥🔥🔥
I believe I'll probably never play the banjo, and neither I will ever play with you 💐.
how nice,,,,,is there a tab available?❤
Howdy! I teach everything by ear, no tabs :) I'm a strong believer that it's good for the ol' brain to learn by ear, as tab can be a crutch sometimes (speaking for myself here, ha) and I also hate writing tabs 😂 But it can be a fun exercise to write out your own tabs if you want- you can use blank piano sheet paper (five lines, super convenient) and it's a nice way of making notes for yourself. Cheers!
@@aidanbanjo thanks,,,,exelent teaching,,,,
Can I ask you what brand of banjo are you playing? It sounds really good!! Thanks!
It seems to me that it is an old VEGA banjo, I don't know the exact model but the little star on the head is typical of the brand 😉
It's a banjo built by Will Seeders of Seeders instruments~ it rules!
@@lhng9867 Good guess! This is a Seeders banjo but the star is definitely reminiscent of Vegas. I played a Vega resonator banjo- a 1963 Earl Scruggs model- in my work with Bill and the Belles, so I am still definitely a Vega fan 🙂
